The claim that settlements are illegal are bunk. They do not break any Intl laws. Based on Intl law, non-private land becomes State land and can be used as the State deems fit per its own laws. Some Arab city claiming they own the land is false and can be over-ridden by Eminent Domain laws. Only private land is considered "hands-off" in non-extreme cases. When Pals and Leftists claim its illegal because of population transfers - they cite the Geneva Convention. The GC covers only transfer of population out of the region, not into, especially when the new population does not displace the old population.
