Oh Haniyeh you don't want to waste all the hard work you've done so far, like what? Hamas is worse than all the failed states in the world that have no economy and have become beggars! Their only source of foreign capital is raised through these international donor conferences. With Hamas though there are no international donor conferences because most Western nations have classified Hamas as a terrorist organization! So all your funding comes from the U.N., all these N.G.O.'s that are supporting you (because they hate Jews and are using you as political pawns) and through the occasional lump sums of money thrown at you like Obama did in giving you $900 million. So what has all your hard work gone into? Stealing pipes from water and sewage systems to create rockets. Buying weapons, indoctrinating your young via TV programs and school books. You haven't done anything for peace except to increase the populations' ability to see things your way, nothing short of the destruction of Israel will bring victory! And you get the population on your side by cynically and deliberately reducing electricity output as well as holding back on food distribution. Then you claim all these problems are due to 'the Zionist occupation'! When in reality your warehouses are full with food and the Israelis are constantly allowing the trucking of fuel into Gaza! The only work that you and your Hamas buddies have done is to create a mini hell on earth for the Arabs living in Gaza! Peace would be better served by all if theses Islamic Brotherhood lackeys in Gaza were to be shipped back to Egypt were they belonged!
4. Little can or should expected unless and until Hamas and
Amihai ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (08.14.09)
Fatah recognize Israel's right to be, to exist as the nation-state of the Jewish people; unless and until they renouce all forms of violence and terrorism against Israel and Israelis; and unless and until they commit to adhere to all agreements with Israel already signed by the parties. Yes, and one more matter: unless and until Gilad Shalit is freed without any preconditions by his Hamas abductors.

6. Peace...
Ron ,   L.A., USA   (08.15.09)
They don't want peace. They have never desired peace. It is not in them. And when a people do not desire peace, when in fact, they desire destruction, war, genocide, violence, there is only one thing you can do... FIght back, with everything you've got! Enough already!

Israel is evicted from the mid east.... then hamas fatah and Hezbulah will have a bloodbath for years after that....
8. Peace and Hamas.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (08.15.09)
Peace is the last thing Hamas terrorists and gangsters want. Peace means the game is up. Peace means they’ve disappointed their god. Peace means no more excuses. They couldn’t bear peace for six months. This is a war to the bitter end. And we’re afraid to admit what it’s about. It’s not about American sins or Israeli intransigence. It’s about a sickness in the soul of a civilization – of Middle-Eastern Islam – that can only be cured from within. More about Hamas and Islam : http://xrl.us/beczox
9. Haniyeh accepts 1967 borders...
kylebisme ,   us   (08.15.09)
...but Israel has never shown interest in anything of the sort, and won't even discuss the refugees right of return, let alone make an offer of compensation in exchange for it. I am no. fan of Hamas by any means, but knowing peace requires justice I have to side with Haniyeh on this point. There is no peace to be had in the "half-state solution" Netanyahu proposes. While Abbas and his goons might be bought off to sign on to it, it would be absurd to expect Palestinians at large to respect anything anything short of a just two-state solution on the basis of international law. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124899975954495435.html
10. If I except the comment from kylebisme ...
Me ,   Here & There   (08.15.09)
there is only retarded/biased/irrelevant comments... Hamas -political branch- wants peace like the Fatah, with the same issues to be put on the table for any meaningful talking and negotiation: 1967 borders, the refugees issue, east Jerusalem, a sovereign and viable state, etc. Something that most of the Israelis never wanted, its army, its orthodox zealots, its fanatical and nauseous settlers, and the current corrupted and borderline fascist/racist gov even less. Kicking the arse of these "al-Qaeda" affiliates just showed how the -israeli and US far-right- propaganda, which tried to portray Hamas people like some crazy international jihadists targeting "the innocent & wonderful" Israeli state before to target the christian west, is proven false.
11. Response to the lies of post#9
Ken Jurist   (08.15.09)
Do you have a brain? What do you think the left wing Olmert offered? He offered Abbas the equivalent of 100% of the territories and division of Jerusalem. Abbas wouldn't even talk to Olmert for 6 months after Olmert made the offer in September 08. The problem is 2 words. Palestinian Rejectionism. If you see what Hamas says. They would sign a hudna for return to the 67 borders, plus 5 million Arabs flooding Israel. What idiot in Israel would sign that? Hamas and Fatah want 2 Palestinian states. They want their own state and to flood Israel with millions of Arabs for the 2nd state. The Barak and Olmert offer prove this conflict has nothing to do with land, but the Palestinians wanting 2 states. Anyone who has seen the hate infested pro murderous Palestiniani media would have seen this. I advise everyone to go on Pal Media watch to learn more about this.
12. A new road map to peace
agiat ,   yakama   (08.15.09)
This plan involves Saudi Arabia, since it has a vested interest in the peace of the area. Saudis have amasted a weath thru Oil and investment and is truly blessed by G-d.with that blessing comes the responsibility to share it with others. I propose that Saudi Arabia take 10% of thier profits from thier oil and other investments and buy up unused lands in syria,Jordan,& iraq and develope small farming communities. Then relocate and retrain the palistinian population from refugee camps. The Israelis have mastered the art of drip irrigation , so making use of techniques developed by them will help make these small farming communities a great sucess. with farms of this type would build a true peace .There would be no need for guns and bombs fences or barriers. Plus a new source of food and possibily bio-fuel. the World needs to forget about the current road map to peace...it is nothing but a political "fools errand" built on hate and sucpecion which will end in disaster. contrasted with my proposal of a conflct free israel that helps work with these farm communities to make them a blessing to the world.
