Why is anyone surprised that one of the leading tabloids in Sweden would publish such rubbish. After all, the entire Swedes media and to a large extent, its population is one of the most antisemetic I have seeing. From their cooperation with the Nazi's and now for fear of their ever-growing muslim population.

Swedish Press and much of the Swedish population is notoious for being anti-Israeli (think of the recent Davis Cup match in Malmö, a city that is 25% Muslim), and notoriously anti-American, anti-Danish and pro-Arab, pro-Islamic... you get the picture.

Mrs. Z- I feel for you- and I agree 100%. My best friend is an IDF veteran of 20 years - the idea that a sleazy rag like the Aftonbladet can print something so vile and revolting is incredible. I am not Jewish, but this insults my feelings as a human being, period.

Two very good reasons: 1) the Muslim population which pushes for such conspiracy theories was still growing in Europe. A huge uptick occurred between 2000 and now. Just the right climate for racist demonization of another population. 2) The sideline story of some Jews in NJ....a real outlying group who apparently don't adhere to the typical Jewish belief in sanctity of the body....was just reported, giving an emotional wave on which the tabloids can ride. Don't be surprised if you hear of a Jew somewhere in Idaho stealing a basket of potatoes being translated into an article in anti-semitic Europe entitled "Israel steals food from Palestinian homes, humanitarian aid from UNWRA"

Having lived in Japan for 6 years, I can attest to the fact that he is right. Japanese who had never seen a Jew "knew" that Jews are thieves, liars and misers. Anti-Semitism is a world-wide phenomenon, and will persist forever. It cannot be stamped out, and we simply have to be strong and face it.

I have a relative in the Foreign Minister's office. He braggs that whenever he wants to see a NY Yankees or Giants game he just signs up for a Foreign Service or Diplomatic class in the US.
