Peace Now harms Israel in very real ways. There is no doubt that this toxic group encourages Israel's enemies. Unfortunately groups such as Peace Now are part of the price we must pay in having a democracy.

Ya'alon should remember that when one points a finger there are three fingers pointing back, or the other common knowledge idea that it takes one to know one.

Knesset Member Ophir Pines-Paz (Labor), responded to Ya'alon's comments by saying: "Those who do not believe in peace should not be part of Israel's governments." Well, really now, Ophir, do you honestly believe a 2 state solution will bring peace? Do you truly believe the Arabs want anything else but to destroy Jewish Israel? It is time for the path to real peace and that is through living on this land in accordance with Torah commandments and Hashem's values. Anything else, like your refusal to give free speech to anyone who contradicts your way of thinking, or allowing flagrant desecration of Hashem's morality (gays marching in the land of Israel proudly flouting their abominations) is disgusting.

The audacity, the double standard and the gall of the left is never ending. While I lack the ability to directly quote "Peace Now" vitriolic statements. I am insead going to attempt to make a direct comparison through the American landscape of the left. For five years, leftist organizations made Bush's administration second guess itself at every turn, they started with the of character liable of called him Hilter, the puppet shows and etc, the open challenges to his IQ, the not so conceal contempt in discourse on major issues before his desk, the demonizing of his principles, Bolten and Chaney come to mind. It was all thrown out, paraded as journalism in many instances, and if it reverbated it stuck. The utter comtempt that I hold these folks is driven by the outright below the belt tactics, for if you challenged them on merits, you where called a fellow fascist, a dimwitt, and questioning their pariotism. Now flash forward, if you dare try to use the same tactics, of labeling an opponent with the same light, it's not what is good your the goose is good for the gander, it's your a right wing extermist, white trash, bubba joe six pack, a racist. Don't believe me just look at the current media analysis of our town hall meetings over the Govts. bid to reform Health care. Point is the left has zero memory reference, employs rhetoric akin to the very core to what they accuse others of, do so openely and without any compunction to seek debate, and strive for any and all opportunities to muck the debate into mudslinging. So, what I am saying is that if the "Peace Now" crowd is anything like just about any other Leftist Org they merit the virus comment.

Peace Now exhibits the very disease that inflicts Leftists today....the act of claiming democracy as they beat down and silence the opposition. Yariv - if you want to operate in a democracy and claim rights to it, you must accept the WHOLE idea of democracy and that means hearing the opposition and taking their comments like a man....or you can get angry, and take your NGO and go home to pout.

Yariv Oppenheimer's words are even more of an incitement to violence and death than Yaalon's. Are you saying that the constant attack on settlements, settlers, and by association, the religious will result in nothing but Yaalon's word's could equate to murder?? Are you saying that the Left are very peaceful and logical while the Right is not? Let me direct your attention to the weekly protests at Bilin and Nilin where Leftists, including Israelis, protest violently, using rockets and other means against IDF troops.

In case you missed it, Israel removed some roadblocks, especially around areas like terrorist-capital Nablus, provided more work permits for Pals to enter Israel, softened language regarding future peace with Palestinians (despite the recent Fatah committee tirades calling for the death of Israel) and more economic cooperation with Pals. In return...the Arab world said "No, we won't do anything until a full peace has been established, per the Arab Peace Plan" which essentially calls for Jerusalem to be cut in half, with the Holiest spot for Jews given to Palestinians, an influx of Pal refugees, and lots more money to the Pal leadership to squander. Pretty much, doing the "right" thing as you say....working for peace hasn't really returned a lot of value. Yet, nationalistic action seems to get a rise out of Arabs who realize they went too far and pull back their demands. It's ME negotiations 101, not something you'd know about in Dallas.

I agree with you - Yaalon is 100% right. Jews should be allowed to live anywhere within the land of Israel (Judea, Samaria, Gaza included). The Left are in such an uproar because blocking Jews from living in WB and Gaza are their only platform. Take it away from them and they have no cause to fight for, no reason to exist. They couldn't be bothered to deal with issues for all Israelis - they are too busy with their own agendas. By the way, this is the same reason groups like Hamas and Hizbullah don't make peace. If they did, their reason to exist ends.

If Pines-Paz wants to get rid of all politicians who are against peace, the Arab MKs are a great place to start.

I was deemed a racist because I wouldn't vote for Obama. Nevermind I argued good points on his lack of Foreign Policy experience and the radical Left in his party which were calling for an over-turning of the entire govt....including hiring Google execs into the seat of political power. Name even one Arab leader with whom you could make Peace Now. Unfortunately you cannot find anyone without complete surrendering to them including their requirement all the Jews out of ME. So, Why to blame your leaders?
