31. 30 Sharon: It is not God who pays up although He can do that
(08.28.09)
God forces Satan to give back what Satan stole. God has an arsenal of judgments that He can use that are out of my ability to determine. Sometimes God cuts short the lives of the wicked or their children to four generations. Other times, God lets the wicked prosper until the moment they are consumed with terrors at death that King David saw as the fate of some enemies when he went into the Temple and God showed him that. It is very risky to attack saints of the Lord if the saint asks God to avenge the injustice since the Lord is the avenger of His elect if they ask Him to avenge them. Vengeance belongs to God. I have seen many different forms of God's judgment on enemies, not just the death penalty. Quite often, it is eternal death since the Lord sides with the saint and blocks entrance into heaven even for believers who attack other believers if the offense is sufficient. The parable of the ten virgins proves that. Virgin means true in the faith while harlot is false religion. Five virgins had extra oil and lit their lamps and went in to the Bridegroom when He called. Five had to go buy oil and missed the call of the Lord. His door was closed to them when they returned with lit lamps. Five with true faith did not go to heaven because they were not ready for the Lord's call. Many are called but few are chosen, the Bible says. What hindered the five foolish virgins? Lack of Bible study or following the commandments or attacking other saints or perjury or murder or other sins unrepented of or lacking in appeasement of the victim? An interesting side note: Was David at fault for having Uriah murdered when Bathsheva was pregnant or was Uriah at fault for idolizing David (worshipping him to the point of religious asceticism and sexual self denial with his wife)? If Uriah was guilty of idolatry, then the Lord could bless the marriage of Batsheva and David after Uriah's death in a way He could not have if Uriah had been totally innocent. Batsheva had Nathan and Solomon with Nathan in the Messianic line. That is quite an honor. Keturah's sons by Abraham after Sarah's death were sent away before Abraham died to protect the inheritance of Isaac and Ishmael. Isaac got the blessing and birthright but Ishmael was also blessed with lands and wealth. So there are some remarriages after the death of the first wife or husband that are more blessed than others.
