your thinking is the catastrophe
2. IGNORE THESE THUGS IN THE UN
Simpleton ,   ill usa   (09.16.09)
This is a definite mistake in insisting Israel should investigate the so called Goldstone report. Any Israeli that would even suggest something as idiotic as this is a pacifist. Israel needs to ignore these thugs in the UN. These animals are there as set against Israel, no matter what Israel does or doesn't do. Giving these fools even a bit of attention is what fuels the flames for this type of idiocy. Face up, the UN is anti-Israel and only would be happy if Israel could be totally defeated in some war.
3. Israel should launch an inquiry as soon as Hamas do the same

new identities to harm their own people. The anti-Semitic traitors who gave false testimony for this report will be dealt with by Hashem on judgement day.
5. Comments on the GAZA FACT FINDING MISSION REPORT
Love of the Land ,   Israel   (09.16.09)
Israel’s Analysis and Comments on the GAZA FACT FINDING MISSION REPORT Israel is appalled and disappointed by the Report published on 15 September 2009 by the Gaza Fact Finding Mission. The Report effectively ignores Israel’s right of self defense, makes unsubstantiated claims about its intent and challenges Israel’s democratic values and rule of law. 6. US supports Israel but not all its actions
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, USA   (09.16.09)
While the US supports the nation of Israel, it can not over look the facts just because it hurts Israel. I read here that many will support Israel's actions no matter the facts because they believe that the Jewish Nation is more important than the truth. While the truth can be bent and twisted to fit once ideals, the facts still remain the same.
7. Trying to understand
Ricardo Macher ,   KarneiShomron Israel   (09.16.09)
How is it possible that only traitors go to testify? What about seven million people who think different? Why should we accept that this Pollak guy is still calling himself an Israeli? I agree with one point, we must awake and understand that there are people who are using democracy and turning us into "frayers"!!!
8. Worth reading the report to see that it is indeed rubbish
Ilan ,   Ariel   (09.16.09)
The report is posted and reading through the executive summary is sufficient to see that the report is indeed rubbish and slanted from the beginning. For example, Hamas security personal are considered 'civilians', reports of mosques and other public buildings being used by Hamas are rejected out of hand. In essence all of Gaza was considered a non-military target except for areas used for firing for the10 minutes it took to fire the missiles. It is a cynical game of redefinition.
9. Goldstone UN report
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (09.16.09)
Look it's very simple Goldstone. Just put yourself in Israel for several years next to Gaza border. I want to see you try to live for a certain period of time there and not be frustrated or not have any PTSS. Or lets say the Pali's are shooting rockets near where you live, and suddenly its a 'hit'. Some of your family die or get injured quite seriously. You going to tell me, that you won't want to stop it. How - by talking ???
10. State must learn that the UN is a bunch of crap

11. DEAR ALL

Read the #@!@ report before you judge this is how humans in the 21century should behave...
12. 11"dear all
funkyyaya ,   london   (09.16.09)
Regarding this report you should do a search using the word hamas...the word israel...idf....how many times used and too what context......and yes guess what.
13. Very Objectice.....
Eli Freedman ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (09.16.09)
Funny how in previous reports ,Ynet refers to Yonatan Pollack as a "Peace Activist", and now a " Left Wing Activist"..Well, well, if there isnt another report on him and his weekly involvement with the seperation barrier wall at Baalin...AND he is a member of other radical left wing organizations, including, "Israeli Anarchists Against Walls", "I.S.M" and "Committee Against War Crimes", to name but a few..But HIS views, as those of Mr. Bader, who is also a member of "Public Committee Against Torture in Israel" are viewed as credible.!!?? These are radical Left Wing Liberal apologist, with revisionist tendency to rewrite history and ignore the facts. But like most these self delusional cretins, let not facts stand in the way of their argument's. These points of views are almost as convincing as the "Independent, non-biased report" of the "Gladstone Commission"..Filled with "Facts", "Eye-witness reports" and "An objective view"...And why does YNet portray these two, as anything other then Left Wing Radicals, I wonder...??
14. Comparing wars
Annie ,   Tel aviv israel   (09.16.09)
I think when trying to write a report such as this they must take it in the perspective of what it was - a WAR, and then compare it to a significant number of similar wars fought by democratic nations, considering the causes for the war (ie - 8 years of rockets thrown on israel), compare methodologies (ie - leaflets being thrown down to palestinian civilians warning them of upcoming raids) and THEN see where Israel ranks in terms of humane warfare. I can tell you right now - no other country has ever faced such aggression, and reacted so mildly. But then, Israel has always been held to other-worldly standards, hasn't it?
15. deeply flawed sourcing
jo   (09.16.09)
a true examination of the report - not superficial - shows a biased and political agenda. One or a few well meaning honest tesimony by an Israeli does not make it true. The wittnesses listed and their backgrounds and previous records show different. visiting Gaza and seeing it with your own eyes is not that same as experiencing the mode of operation in action of Hamas and the IDF during Cast Lead. This is no playing field but a heavy populated area. As one who knows of =many who were there - and their stories - I can only say, selecting who the wittnesses are is crucile and must be examined in precise details for true truth to be known.
16. #6 your comment please
(09.16.09)
Last week American forces massacred 80 Afghan civilians in an air attack. There was no clear and present danger to anyone, so this was clearly a war crime. Why aren't you demanding that everyone, from Commander in Chief Obama to the pilot who pulled the trigger be tried?
17. Israel should learn
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (09.16.09)
The Arab Knesset members, Fatah ("moderate peace partners") and Left wing NGOs all support the UN report, and support MK Zahalka's demand that those responsible be brought to trial. Who is responsible? Olmert/Livni who engineered the ethnic cleansing of Gush Katif and Ehud Barak who supports Arab building and destroys Jewish building. Netanyahu and his ministers should take heed: when you destroy Jewish lives and support the Arab position you, not only do you lose support amongst the Jews, you are hated by Israel's enemies. It is just not worth it.

Shlomo Kamra   (09.16.09)
Sending down leaflets to a population with nowhere to go and nowhere to hide is useless, and not worthy of justification. The IDF had split Gaza into 3-remember? Israel always portrays itself as the "good guys", but the truth is opposite. Israel will not admit wrongdoing-that is the problem.

Israel was asked to testify-all 7 million of you,-but you refused. Remember? You will still get your chance though!
21. Collective punishment is a good thing!
Josh   (09.16.09)
What's the deal? How is the UN able to say collective punishment is not ok when they print the prophecies of beating swords into plowshares on their walls? This is the ending of a prophecy that has "chose death" people collectively suffer and perish. The Philistines (whom the Palestinians claim to be) become slaves and multitudes and multitudes from all nations are trampled in the valley. Have they not know the ways of G-d who is the only one to deliver world peace and order? Take it off your wall if you don't believe it. There is justice for a people who vote terrorist into political power from their own personal gain. Let them learn as a child learns. When they vote for war against Israel let them taste it. It is not a crime under laws of G-d but war in response to acts of war. People against people, nation against nation. An eye for an eye. Only the UN who has its own armies escape justice from the kidnappings and wars they participate in.

NATO forces, headed by Commander in Chief Obama, under command of American General Stanley McChrystal. US F15E with US pilots. Let's blame the Germans. Right.

24. Israel's reaction just goes to show UN report is spot on
Carla ,   London   (09.16.09)
Why else deny something you haven't even read yet? the sooner Israel gets charged with war crimes the better.
25. #11 - Have you read Intl laws and UN resolutions?
William ,   Israel   (09.16.09)
Read thoroughly, you'd find, as so many lawyers and govts have, that Israel and its actions ARE supported by these laws. But people of your ilk won't even bother to read it. Instead, you'll add your "wish" to it and state this is what the resolutions or laws really mean. You're hardly the one who can stand up and demand people to read the report before commenting when your entire narrative isn't even based in reality. That's how 21st centuries Leftists behave, apparently.
26. #13 - I guess Yariv Oppenheimer wasn't available
William ,   Israel   (09.16.09)
to testify to the UN, so they had to use on these other "reliable" sources.
27. #14 - Goldstone deliverately ignored previous Hamas attacks
William ,   Israel   (09.16.09)
In trying to "focus on the Gaza War" Goldstone purposely removed the very impetus for the war - Hamas' war crimes against Israel for 8 years. In doing do, he erased the context of the Gaza War, sanitizing the complexity of the operation and Hamas' cynical use of a civilian population, in order to vilify Israel. Taken out of context, even watching a mother smack her child to kill a mosquito can be deemed as abuse and child endangerment. The real question now is - will Israel and the world SUE Hamas for bringing such destruction on to the region and with the EU finally label Hamas as a terrorist group and stop meeting with their leaders. Somehow, I doubt it.
