Talk about a joke, Tel aviv is tiny and is nothing like New York

W H Y ??? what a lot of indulgent crap.

Times Square is named for the New York Times, a notably anti-Zionist newspaper.. I certainly hope Tel Aviv's choice of a name for its port has no connection to the New York Times' clear bias against Israel! Whether it does not not, it is the wrong choice. There are surely better choices that reflect favorably on the Big Apple's connection to Israel.

While I certainly share your opinion of the New York Times, I would venture to guess that very few people even associate Times Square with the newspaper. In fact, prior to Rudy Giuliani's tenure as mayor, if you mentioned Times Square, the first thing most people thought of were pornographic bookstores and peep shows.

Tel Aviv is a metropolitan sexy Mediterranean city that is actually very similar to Beirut, NOT New York.
