The israeli government and the politicians in israel think differently. They hold maneuvers to prepare people for missile's hitting israel. No military analyst can under estimate the power of missile's. Oh and by the way not to mention the huge money being invested to create better defense shields.

even the atomic bombs on japan during world war 2 did NOT cause america to win the war. Japan had already lost the war and the effect of the bombs was only to speed up the process (check your history). also, note that in that case the US had an atomic bomb and japan didn't. that will not be the case if iran gets an atomic bomb.

the israelis were well disciplined. hezbollah and hamas ran for their lives. they begged their friends at the UN to have israel stop. that is the only reason they are still around. BTW: for all the bluster from hezbolah and hamas about how powerful they are, it doesn't seem like either of them have had much of a stomach for taking on israel after the last 2 wars?

Look what a beautiful lasting peace the world has with Germany and Japan. Use same tactics that resulted in lasting peace with Axis countries that was born in 1945. (Hint: an unconditional surrender is a mandatory part of the process).

Japan gave up in WW 2 because the US bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, this disproves the basic premise. But when you consider that Tel Aviv has been hit by Iraq in the past there is truth to the fact that these missiles are not capable of winning wars alone. The problem is Iran is trying to mix the 2 situations and to make Atomic weapons that it can send at Tel Aviv like Iraq did and thus win the war like the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Missiles are not a crime against humanity they are just another weapon of war and its what you CHOOSE as your target that makes it a crime or a legitimate method of fighting wars. Modern ballistic missiles are not the V2 from WW2 that flew until it ran out of fuel and then falls & goes bang. They are also not Saddams missile which were a load of junk. He wanted a long range missile that could hit Israel so he took 2-3 short range scuds tied them together and installed a terrible guidance system because its all he had. He also was also aiming for the civilian population because he wanted to bring Israel into the war to try split the arab US coalition. Modern missiles have good guidance systems so their destination can be controlled. Iran can choose to fire a missile into a Negev army base or into Tel Aviv. If they choose the Negev base they acted like soldiers. If they chose Tel Aviv they acted like cold blooded murderers. Missiles alone though can't win wars. They are a first strike weapon you need ground forces to win a war. This is why Iran could never start a war against Israel because they have no land borders to launch it from. Once the missiles are fired thats all they can do other than encourage terror .. no tanks or infantry.

Oscar, Nuclear missiles never were launched against Japan, but nuclear bombs launched from war planes. Nuclear bombs are Israel's last choice.

Well, not even Arabs, since the worst war Iran ever faced was against Iraq. Muslim against Muslim, Persian against Arab. Millions died. They both sent missiles at each others' cities (well, Saddam did more, as I recall) and in the end, nobody won and millions were dead and crippled. It had absolutely nothing to do with Israel.
