1. goldstone reviewed
On second thought, goldstone's report may be a good thing. Sure he did for a stacked committee of israel haters. But he did finger hamas in war crimes and they don't like it one bit. Now the PA, like arafat , like gutless abbas wants to disown the report as they want full rein to kill jews and rid israel of jews. of course this is in opposition to the koran which says israel is the land of the jews and they will be ingathered. Arabs occupy israel for centuries and actually should be shipped to jordan.Olmert offered everthing as he was trying to avoid jail and tried to con mazuz.
So IDF and lawyers will manage goldstone but the PA has been shown to be an unreliable partner as barak found out. Its useless to make peace with them as they cannot adher to any agreement. They only understand bullets. Goldstone's report, which should have been raved by the arabs instead is rejected. That is the whole story.

2. What does the PA have to do with it?
It doesnt matter whether the PA accepts it or not, hence, they had nothing to do with it. This is strictly between Hamas, Israel, and America, who supplied israel with the military weapons, white phospohorus and depleted uranium aimed at targetting citizens.

3. Goldstone got one thing right
"I think he got wrong what our report is all about. He talked about Israel's right to self-defense. That is not what the report was about,"
Probably a slip of tongue, but completely true - the report completely ignored Israel's right to self-defense. Had it taken this into consideration, very different - and much more reasonable - findings would have emerged.

4. Indredibly Stupid Palestinian Leaders Do It Again
I think it was Abba Eban who said the Palestinians never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity (paraphrasing him, and he might have said it only of Arafat).

5. i am sure
that the pa refusal to back goldstne report has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PEACE PROCESS AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE PEACE PROCESS BETWEEN HAMAS AND FATEH. hamas, afraid of really being investigated and found by the commission of blatant war crimes, has pushed fateh into this decision and warned them that exposing hamas to a trial by the icc would end the peace negotiation between the two factions.

6. The FA must have realize that they don't have the votes
like in the case of Faroul Hosni for UNESCO head countries seems to be less intimidated by Arb Jihadi threats and started voting with their brain instead of their Dihimi instincts
This could be the case here too and the FA instead of suffering an embarrassment decided to withdraw support for the report

7. #1 no it's not
The reality is that any BS propaganda report that accuses Israel is used by anti-Semites to inflame hatred worldwide, while the vast majority of people who support Israel stick to the facts.
And this report was so full of error and outright fabrication against Israel that Israel cannot use it for anything without granting it credence that it does not deserve.

8. #2 no, it's simply between the UNHRC and Israel
The UN barely touched on Hamas, so forget this being about Hamas. And this has nothing to do with the US.
It's the UNHRC attacking Israel, as always, rather than doing anything about real human rights issues. After all, that would endanger the thuggish governments that take up so many seats on the council. Of 47 UNHRC members, more than half are unfree countries, and 8 are absolute dictatorships (countries like Saudi Arabia, China, Egypt, Qatar and Angola don't belong on any human rights body).
And surprise, surprise: Israel's most persistent critics on the UNHRC are among the LEAST free countries on the UNHRC.
This is a political show.

9. #2 Noor: Is it true that the
Koran states that Israel is the land of the Jews?

10. To Noor (#2)
My guess is that the Israeli government threatened Abbas to disclose his and PA's role in supporting and inciting the war, hoping that Israel would root out Hamas there! And this thing is FACT btw!!!

11. Quote from Al Jazeera - speaks volumes!
"One main reservation the Palestinians have is that the report endorsed the Israeli war on Gaza early this year as a legitimate act of self-defence and not an act of aggression, our correspondent said.
Another concern is the accusations against Hamas and other Palestinian factions of having possibly committed war crimes by launching rockets against the civilian population in Israel.
Endorsing the report would mean endorsing the justification for the Israeli war and the war crimes allegations against Hamas."

12. answer to Israel's critics:
Depleted uranium is used to penetrate armor (and concrete.) White Phosphorus is used to clear minefields and create smoke screens. Those who claim the use of these objects in war is a war crime can also make an argument that iron is also a war crime, even wood and stone. Funny how rockets shot at civilians is "protest." but killing a gunman shooting behind concrete walls is a war crime. What nonsense.

13. So That means Isarel Is Exonerated
If the aliens want nothing to do with the report, that means they can't continue to press charges against Israel.

15. Sounds like PA was paid off, this move could cost PA dearly
I am sure that the PA is getting something for this but what I have no ideal.
The could easily backfire on the PA for not supporting the people of Gaza. With the PA and Hamas trying to regroup it could be to take some heat off of Hamas.

The PA egged Israel on to destroy Hamas in the strip during the War over Dec/Jan 09.

18. to 2 Depleted Uranium, you're not much of a scientists
Unlike me who posses a Bachelors in Biotechnology and working on a MS in the Life Sciences.
You see I work with substances like C14 and soon enough P32. The latter of which is used to tag small fragments and small concentrations of DNA to make it visible under film.
When I work with this stuff I use this thing called a "Geiger counter", you may have seen one from movies. The point in all this is that P32 already with high energy beta radiation sets off a Geiger counter SCREAMING.... the fact is that if depleted Uranium was used with it's gamma radiation emission, any idiot with a geiger counter could walk around and easily prove that it was indeed used.
So I have to ask, why hasn't any idiot done this? Is it because you're lying and using flashy words to attract attention? Is it because you just listen to a propaganda machine and don't even think about what it says? Or are you just giving off a air or pseudo intellectualism?
And about white phosphorous, it's nice you talk about it in a vacuum but the fact is that it is completely legal to use as long as it used for flares and smoke screens. But much like the Goldstone report, generalization with little connection to reality somehow become law.
