It is impossible for any President to do the job in eight months but he did plant seeds for his projects and takes a while to have the fruits. He made peace with Russia and the Islamic world i.e. almost two billion people. What does the press wants more from Obama to prove that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.

Allowing your enemies to walk all over you, well it might be OK for the committee in Norway, but it is THE MOST DANGEROUS way of making peace. #4 - your perception of making peace is very different to some other people. Mr. Netanyahu has greater hopes of peace because he is seen as a strong leader. Obama is seen as a weak man.

He has said he will do a lot of things. He is trying to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, bring the troops home from Iraq, and sort out the mess in Afghanistan, all while dealing with America's economic issues. If he does end these conflicts, then Barack Obama would be deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize. However, as yet, he has only set goals, and is yet to accomplish them. Therefore it seems very strange that they gave him the prize.

When Obama promiss to do something, he will do it and never underestimate him. If Netanyahu is a strong leader then why he is getting orders from Obama.

His Middle East policy -- such as it were -- seems bent on appeasing enemies of the United States and bullying a loyal ally into taking steps that any sane person would see as an act of national suicide. Reaching out to iran is foolhardy. Or have you forgotten what they did in the U.S. Embassy, and how Iranian mullahs defiled the corpses of dead American servicemen who lost their lives in that pathetic hostage rescue attempt? The world is and has always been about the suppression, or elimination of the only unblemished concept of G-d and his people.

Obama would give the prize to someone who deserved it, like Denis Mukwege from Congo. Mukwege is a hero who needs the fame, the money and the protection. But Obama is not honest, he is just a selfish politician. bama is only interested in getting bling, whether from the Norwegians or the Saudis.

The validity of this particular prize being possibly a bit questionable, and our economic situation right now notwithstanding, based on Nobel prizes so far, the US is not quite on a downhill slide to Third World status. US institutions and citizens have garnered 9 of 11 Nobel prizes so far and those are not for bar hopping, tent revivals, and bronc busting. What keeps us going along with a few other fun things are the inalienable right to the pursuit of happiness, and freedom of and from religion. He got the prize 9 months into his presidency after doing nothing at all. His nomination was put forward in Febuary 1 month into his presidency when he had done even less. The only reason he got this prize was the world was sick of Bush & Obama sounded different so he is a little incentive to encourage him to get away from Bush polices. If the Nobel Committee actually believed he deserved this thing why didn't they wait dill he did more than make speeces? If they care about peace why did Jimmy the penut have to wait till 2002. Why hasn't Bill Clinton beev given a prize he really did go all out right up to his last weeks in office to try make peace. He did broker a peace with Jordan, even though it was a failure he brokered oslo so where is his prize? When was the last time a serving US president ever got the Nobel Prize? Giving the Nobel Prize to Arafat degraded the thing already but at least they could argue he was trying. Now its been awarded to Obama for doing nothing at all it shows just how worthless it realy is. Make a few speeches saying how much you believe in peace and your a worthy candidate.

which turned out to be worthless but Obama hasn't even managed peace in our time. When he was nominated he managed to achieve being elected against a highly unpopular incumbent party, during an economic meltdown, with every single media outlet supporting him and attacking his opponent and when he had significantly more campaign finance than the other guy and even then he only barely beat the other guy. If the democrats had put up an actual donkey it would have the same chance of winning.
