If Israel had not, after much provocation, retaliated to the ten thousand missiles and mortars fired at it's civilians there would be no Goldstone report, or any intervention by the UN 'Human Rights Council' for that matter. Palestinian attacks could have continued carte blanche as far as the international community were concerned. I don't expect that Hamas is capable of doing that but for Israel it is high time to have a good look into their own closet if they want to continue calling their system a democracy with law and order. A properly governed state must investigate such allegations of war crimes seriously (and that can only be by an independent commission) or it won't be taken any longer seriosuly.
