Be careful, they might spit in it!
2. #1 Sonya, we are not babaric animals!
Ibrahim ,   Istanbul, Turkey   (10.19.09)
The water is not ours to use as an instrument of politics. Turkey considers this as a dictate of humanity. We can have our political differences but this does not mean we are out to destroy each other, or to starve you for that matter. You see thats the difference between us and some of your neighbours. We do not cultivate hatred. Israel and Turkey have been made for each other. Both are the ugly ducklings in the Middle East.
3. Nonsense they tried this already
steve from raleigh   (10.19.09)
And they couldn't even PAY money to Syria to run a pipeline through their country to transport it. Hopefully Turkey will either dam up all the water flowing into Syria or they open the dams and drown them. They deserve each other.
4. Unwise to depend on Turkey for anything
rnathans00 ,   Washington, USA   (10.19.09)
Israel needs more desalination plants. And in the meantime, conserve what you have ... and pray for more rain.
5. Look at a map. How will they transport it?
Josh ,   San Jose, USA   (10.19.09)
How exactly does the Israeli government plan to get Syria's permission to build a water pipeline over its soil to Israel? To make matters worse, the pipeline would have to enter Israel either through Lebanon or the Golan Heights. On top of that, Turkey has been flagrantly stealing water from Syria by damming rivers that flow between the two countries.
6. Sell our Water to Hamas in Gaza and let Israel buy from them
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (10.19.09)
Donot sell our water to Israel directly Sell our water to Gaza and let Israel buy our water from Hamas as intermediary

11. Israel needs to be water independent
Menachem ,   Israel   (10.19.09)
Instead of importing water from unreliable Turkey, Israeli political leaders should finally start listening to our water experts and invest billions of dollar in order to make us water independent in the future.
12. #8 exactly the opposite..israel stole and still stealing
JayZ ,   Jerusalem   (10.19.09)
water wells from all villages around ramallah for example, esp birzeit. they allow palestinians only limited amounts on weekly basis. now come and tell me birzeit is an israeli village and palestinians are stealing its water
13. to #8 lol you slep in geography lessons
ghostq   (10.19.09)
birzit and Ramalla get their water from jerusalem west jerusalem aka Israel side look at the map and see how the high mountains of jerusalem r the source for palis water, Israel doesn't have to sell her own water but she does that as humanitarian step. oh gees hear more info of how natural water get out
14. #5 HOW WILL THEY TRANSPORT IT??
LAWRENCE RAP ARTISTE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (10.19.09)
SIMPLE ....The idea has been "FLOATING " around for about 20 years.Water will be stored in huge plastic containers (at least I think they are plastic) and towed by sea by a big barge / towing boat on the mediterranean. Land does not come into it,all done by sea.
15. #5 SIMPLE DUMMY ,BY SEA
LAWRENCE RAP ARTISTE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (10.19.09)
16. #13 apparantely you were sleeping
JayZ ,   Jerusalem   (10.19.09)
since when are Jerusalem mountains higher than ramallah's. Its a very well known fact that the opposite is the true, Ramallah was and is very popular in summer due its cool weather due to its height. p.s Jerusalem lands are also stolen from arabs, you need to study history too
17. Turkey is becoming an Islamic state.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (10.19.09)
Israelis should be aware that the Turkish alliance with Israel is not iron-clad. Its revival in the 1990’s, after decades of cold shoulder relations, was prompted by a rare convergence of strategic and economic interests, that were bolstered by the generous assistance that Israel poured on the most hard-hit areas of Turkey during the 1999 earthquake. But Turkey is a Muslim country, in spite of its commitment to maintain secular rule. No one could foresee the rise to power of Necmettin Erbakan precisely in those years of the summit in the honeymoon, but no one could forget either, that the army swiftly removed him and banned his party when he imprudently came too close to Iran. The army, who remained the arbiter of the correct behavior of the government, could by the same token threaten Syria with invasion and war if the latter did not desist from its support to Kurdish Turks.
18. to #16 hahahaha cool mountain breaze doesn't
ghostq   (10.19.09)
indicate geographical hight. while jerusalem located 750 meter above sea level jenin is only 350 meters, so go learn real geography and jerusalem was established by the jewish king david for jews, with so many relics to varify it, so in other words you got nothing not even real history to verifiy your being in the area.
19. Is this the water not used by the dead Armenians mass...
Edna   (10.19.09)
murdered by Turkey?. Or perhaps the water is Kurdish, but the Turks are eager to wipe the Kurds off the face of the map too?
20. Water ballon
(10.19.09)
That is tested before but it couldnt be achieved.Maybe it sounds good but unfortunatelly you should fine another solution.
21. To #17- nothing wrong with becoming an Islamic State
Ibrahim ,   Istanbul, Turkey   (10.19.09)
Half of the western world have state religions. There is no fuss about this. So why the fuss if Turkey becomes an Islamic nation (not that it will)? The Ottoman Empire was an Islamic State. Some of your forefathers were in fact Ottoman citizens. His Excellency David Ben-Gurion and Ben-Zvi were also once Ottoman citizens, who went onto proclaim the State of Israel. Unlike in Germany the jewish people in the Islamic Ottoman Empire were not mercilessly murdered by there fellow muslim citizens. No need to fear muslims. Only fear those that overtly express there contempt for a jewish state. Turkey manifestly doesn't. Fear not the one that recognised your sovreignty the day it was declared. Fear not the one that respects judaism. Fear not the one that supports the existence of the State of Israel. Fear those that instil fear of the Turkish State in the Israeli people. Fear those that cannot stand the Turkish-Israeli alliance. An Islamic-Secular Turkey may be more benificial to the Jewish state, for Islam is better in Turkish hands. Shalom
22. #18who mentioned jennin? its Ramallah
JayZ ,   Jerusalem   (10.19.09)
go back to your maps and say exactly how much exactly.
23. #22 double checked you right it's higher but...
ghostq   (10.19.09)
it said 780 meters over sea level while jerusalem is 750 meter 30 meter difference but... you can't pump there water the aquifer is lower it called Yarkon-Tanninim Aquifer and I found water area map 2 it said that where is Ramalla there is no pumping area only in the jerusalem area, witch still show that the water belong to west jerusalem not west bank, aquifer is lower water supply I got comfused, I am not mountain person. but the water r low(I think it was writen in the definition I read earlier-for earth tablet over water reservoir. still not your water and still Israel sell it to you. don't have to but they do it cause they r nice. and the city of jerusalem was established by jewish king david for jews, mmm west jerusalem never been palis land cause they couldn't built outside the old walls of jerusalem that cause arab gangs use to plunder people on their way to jerusalem, mmm arab gangs... only the jews baught and built in west jerusalem aka out side the walls.

Btw I was born in Izmir/Bergama where Gabby Levy was born.We breathe the same air. Drink the same water. Walk the same earth. cheers
27. Israel negotiating importing water from Turkey
Talula ,   Israel   (10.20.09)
AGAIN?!?!?!?! Didn’t they start negotiations years ago when the Kineret was looking less like a lake and more like a puddle. But then we had one millimeter of rain so they thought that would be enough to last for all eternity– and no more talks with Turkey. Nothing like waiting for a crisis, is there? Stupid Idiots!!! Same as the Holocaust survivor issue- every year on the weeks leading up to the Yom Hashoar, we constantly read about the survivors receiving money that is due to them 'very soon' - Yom Hashoar comes and goes and still the survivors are left with nothing – and no more is heard until the next year.
28. Yo! Israel!
Danny Maccabee ,   Bronx, NY   (10.20.09)
It's called prayer. Start doing it and your water troubles will be over. G-d is listening.
29. to hell with turkey!
a b   (10.21.09)
I'll take chicken instead...
30. water from the Turks !
Archie ,   usa   (10.22.09)
are you out of your freaking mind? Turks have recently starved close to a million Syrians and Iraqis farmers by the dams they built on the Euphrates and the Tigress rivers. they suppose to be their Moslem brothers! (Iraq and Syria never made a fuss about that because Turkey is a Moslem and they do not mind being fu$#2ED by them !) Israel have the money and the know-how of de-salinization of sea water, so why they need such unreliable vendor as the Turks ?
