1. Back in the 80s, I predicted this..
eddie ,   london UK   (10.21.09)
When Peres et al first spoke of their Peace plans, I predicted this is what would happen. That there woudl benumerous terror factions, as is the case in Lebanon. That contrary to Amoz Oz's claims, it would not be so easy to break the back of a young palestinian army. That any Israeli defence operation would be castigated by the wolr dmedia and UN. That sympathy would be for the Palestinian state. That anti-semitism would deny Israel's right to self defence. That terror would only increase. That there woudl eb so many terror groups, that none could be held exclusively responsible. And, this was not from any sueprnatural power, but just from observing the world , history, and hatred for the Jews.
2. Why do we never hear calls for Hamas leaders to be ...
Ron B. ,   Lod   (10.21.09)
Why do we never hear calls for Hamas leaders to be charged with war crimes? Why, for example, do we hear no calls for human rights investigations into Hamas gunmen using Palestinian children as human shields? Why so few stories on the reports of Hamas assassins going to hospitals to hunt down their fellow Palestinians? And where are the international human rights groups demanding that Hamas stop blurring the most fundamental line in warfare: the distinction between civilian and combatant? Did the West surrender to Islam or does anti-Semitism prevail over justice? As to what Islam means for all of us consult : http://xrl.us/beja9g
3. And IRO the holding of Gilad Shalit, which is a war crime
rebecca ,   Modiin   (10.21.09)
The Goldstone report only asks for his release, not for the prosecution of his kidnapers.
4. hamas justifies killing
Ilana   (10.21.09)
but only they are allowed to justify it. They can explain intentionally murdering kids, and then when we respond, we are accused of trying to justify killing!! Go figure the logic!
5. Good article: Please go on pulling this piece of junk apart.
Australian Guy ,   Australia   (10.21.09)
Goldstone's report becomes exposed exactly for what it is day-by-day. A truly sickening dossier of bias and misinformation.
6. hamas is legitimate...
George ,   Canada   (10.22.09)
sorry to say so but they have been elected, and yes countries have called for their destruction(they've been under blockade for a while now)... oh and if the capture of one soldier is a war crime then israel is responsible for a few... of course you'll say their terrorists but an armed militant working for the elected party sounds alot like a soldier to me.. sorry but most of this is so partisan that it takes away the credibility of the one correct statement.. hamas (like israel) used unhuman tactics.
7. GO TO HELL WITH - BAD - STONE !!!.
Arn-Orao. ,   Sweden-Srbia.   (10.22.09)
and the right of the Palestinian people to defend itself do not mean that we do not support the Report.” In effect, he dismissed out of hand everything the report said about terrorist attacks and firing rockets into Israel, considering it lip service paid by the Committee and without practical importance for Hamas. AS TO MY KNOWLEDGE, THE HAMAS BEGAN THE WAR DELIBRETLY, IT WAS NOT SELFDEFENCE. TREAT THIS BADSTONE THE WAY HAMAS SHOULD BE TREATEN. The issue of Hamas’ invisible responsibility for war crimes, like many other claims made by the report, shows that it is a masterpiece of deception and manipulation whose only intention is to frame Israel for war crimes and exonerate Hamas. Arn-Orao.
8. No Reason For Hamas 2 Be Concerned
Christy ,   Boston, US   (10.22.09)
Quote: "Why aren’t Hamas leaders worried by the report?" Why should they be? Even if the report had placed all the blame on Hamas (NOT likely), what would 'the world - UN' do? = NOTHING! Hamas *KNOWS* the UN is a paper tiger. The UN won't stop the flow of money and supplies. Hamas has no reason to worry about anything stemming from this report. It's time Israel starts to treat these reports with the same concern as Hamas. Until/Unless the Palestinians are made to adhere to the same standard of conduct as Israel, reports like this are only good to line one's birdcage, or litter box.
9. Goldstoning Israel
Paul Winter ,   Sydney Australia   (10.22.09)
#6, please note that Hamas is no more legitimately elected than Hitler was; in Gaza the choice was between two groups of thugs. A voting process of one man, one vote, one time is hardly an exercise of democracy. The "unhuman" (sic) actions by both Israel and Hamas is a false equation. Please do take the trouble to read UK Col. Richard Kemp's comments regarding the unprecedented care Israel took and the dastardly way terror groups fight.
10. And Goldstone says that
Stan ,   Johannesburg RSA   (10.30.09)
his critics have not even read the report. The man is a liar and is advancing a political agenda at the expense of justice. To Goldstone - I have read the report and you are a crime against humanity!!!!
