and bedouins doesn't suppose to own a land they were nomads, I think he had bad childhood like 98% of the lefties and he wants attention. anyway one month is just warning the next won't be so easy.
2. Whats Yesha say bout Border Police who assault Palestinians?
Kim ,   Australia   (10.21.09)
A group of Israel Border police filmed themselves assault a Palestinian prisoner but they have just got off with no conviction but I won't hold my breath waiting for the Yesha's outrage and denouncing of this selective enforcement of the law.
3. A month, what a joke!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (10.21.09)
Assaulting a police officer is a serious offence. He is doing his job and the sentences should be at least two years with a possibility of parole after 6 months or a year!
4. #3 David, can't you read?
Shalom   (10.21.09)
He's a LEFTIST and for LEFTISTS to get even 1 month in jail for assault is surprising in a non-Democratic Communist country with a Sodomite Courts run by the Mafia where Religious Jews and Rightists are 3rd class citizens.
5. Crime&Punishment: Its who you are not what you did
Ellen ,   State of Anarchy   (10.21.09)
Leftist gets month in jail Ezra Nawi sentenced to 30 days in prison for assaulting Border Guard officers during riot No trial for 'slight beating' Prosecution rules officers documented hitting Palestinians won't face criminal charges
6. Ezra Nawi
Daniel Rehahn ,   Hove, UK   (10.21.09)
The 6 months suspended sentence is an attempt to silence his brave non-violent resistance to the illegal occupation of (what's left of) Palestine. This is what you get for non-violent resisitance. No wonder people turn to violence. Palestinians are frequently locked up without trial, or shot, or run over by the military. Ezra Nawi is a credit to Israel, which is shamed by his imprisonment.
7. $200,000 for assault?
observer   (10.21.09)
But Border Guards who assault Palestinians get off scott free. This is unbelievable.
8. If he was a "settler" he would have been in prison for a yea
m   (10.21.09)
Then he would have benn banished from his town for another year.
9. You did right Ezra. Don't let occupation system scare you.
Ronen   (10.21.09)
10. #5 You are right, it's who you are.
Jake   (10.21.09)
The number of Leftists who have been jailed in Israel for committing violent acts can be counted on one hand.
11. #6. Non-violent resistance?
Jake   (10.21.09)
Incitement to riot and hitting an officer in the face is non-violent resistance? I wonder how well such a defense would go down in the UK.
12. If only there were thousands more like you, Ezra!
UmmEinav ,   Jerusalem   (10.21.09)
13. Ezra is committed to non-violence
Sean ,   Glasgow, Scotland   (02.12.10)
I don't trust the testimony of the Israeli Border Policemen and I suspect that in a system more dedicated to justice, neither would the judge. The Israeli Border Policemen lied in order to frame Nawi. You can see some of the footage of the incident here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysIaQUJWBdk&feature=player_embedded Despite there being cameras filming, the Israeli Border Policemen claim Nawi's attack was not caught on film. I believe them to have perjured themselves.
