Killer got off easy    Hagai Segal
1. Asinine Verdict.
What could the judge have been thinking? This offender should have gotten the max for each charge and count: To be served consecutively. Well, in nine years (with any luck, and a smidgen of justice) that moron will nail the judge.
Shimon ,   Cincinnati, USA   (10.24.09)
2. Shukim ba-Roshe. Thats why. The judge is a pathetic man
who follows the Talmudic dictum (I believe its in the talmud).. someone who is kind to the cruel...is cruel to the kind. Someone who lets this terrorist dreck off so easily allows lawlessness and terror in Israel. The courts need to be taken back from the leftist meretz laborites who represent 20% of the population but control 80%.
Jae ,   Lynn US   (10.24.09)
3. I wonder, was the court afraid of the Arabs rioting if the
killer had received that which he should have? This is the way it appears!
Brent   (10.24.09)
4. In general Israeli courts are lenient for traffic offenses
There probably is a direct relationship between traffic deaths, lax enforcement and lenient sentences. The judges take all incentive from the police for stricter enforcement and the public pays the price.
Ilan ,   Ariel   (10.24.09)
5. Truly settle the matter after those 2 scum are released
Those 2 would be wise to start running once they hit the streets again.
Cameron ,   USA   (10.25.09)
6. #4 Ramming a child with a car at full speed is not a traffic
offence...for crying out loud! Its not even manslaughter. Its plain cold-blooded murder. and this case it was also a terrorist attack. Israeli society is a sick society. To busy excusing its enemies excesses & too focused on persecuting their own brothers. The talmudic dictum of being merciful to the cruel & cruel to the weak really applies to this sick, morally bankrupt, self hating society.
levi ,   nYC   (10.25.09)
7. It was deliberate murder
... and anyone who suggests otherwise is a fool. Every living person in Israel knows that everything comes to a halt on Yom Kippur. Yet the miscreants who murdered this child chose to ride through a JEWISH town. No mean happenstance. This was the deliberate murder of a little girl, and the sentence was far too lenient.
Sarah B ,   New York / Saviyon   (10.25.09)
8. I heard the driver was drunk as well anyway
this is murder one and should be given much harsher penalty.
ghostq   (10.25.09)
9. killer got off
RACING a motorcycle around a synagogue on a holy day when everyone Jew, Arab and Gentile, etc. knows that no traffic is allowed, and then ramming it into a group of children, sounds like no accident to me. He came looking for trouble and he found it. The sentence was a sick joke.
debbie ,   israel   (10.25.09)
10. Why didn't the Jews there lynch these
two terrorists? The judge should be fired and the penalty increased for these two mad dogs. It is odd how many of their village serve in the I.D.F and how many do not. We are starting to lose our Beduin and Druze to fanatics.
jason white ,   afula,israel   (10.25.09)
11. Up to the State to prosecute as an act of terrorism
If the prosecutor doesn't ask for a case to be treated as a nationalistically motivated crime then the court won't even consider it an option. Perhaps it was indeed an at of terror, but if so direct your anger to the Prosecutors office.
Ilan ,   Ariel   (10.25.09)
12. These leftist Judges are sickening!
JAy3 ,   ISrael   (10.25.09)
13. 3
Unfortunately, it seems you are right. The girl's family's house is being protected by police for fear of "revenge" by fellow Arabs. He should have been sentenced for MURDER and should have gotten life sentence.
Rosie   (10.26.09)
14. your name has to be Assad
in order to get it easy politically correct and absolutely unfair judgement Who ever let thicriminal get away with such a punishment shall pay and share punishment with criminal- equally responsibility
Unfair ,   Il   (10.26.09)
