31. The only path to peace
Aharon ,   Reading,MA   (10.27.09)
excellent article. If only we had a government with the guts to implement it... For a practical plan along these lines - which also includes a real solution for the Arab refugees, see www.theisraelinitiative.com
32. We all have dreams!
Shimon   (10.27.09)
I would like to spend the night with Beyonce but it ain't going to happen! we need to forget about our dreams and live in reality we need a strong Israel with a Jewish majority. I entirely support settlements but in places where they matter such as the Galil and the Negev.
33. To # 28.
Daniel Francis ,   Berrien Springs   (10.27.09)
If "Democratic principles does not mean every Group doesn't get their own country", why do the Jews have a state? Furthemore, Egypt, syria, Jordan, Indonesia, Lebanon, and a host of other Islamic mjority countries have religious minorities that are allowed to vote. (The real question is when do they have elections....)
34. Isaiah
Follower ,   US   (10.27.09)
"Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, 'My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure'...I bring near My righteousness, it is not far off; And My salvation will not delay And I will grant salvation in Zion, And My glory for Israel." - Isaiah 46:9-13. "I am the LORD, I have called You in righteousness, I will also hold You by the hand and watch over You, And I will appoint You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the nations, To open blind eyes,..." - Isaiah 42:6

36. Loyal Arabs will serve & protect the country as the Jewish
Jae ,   Yerushaliyim Israel   (10.27.09)
nation state that gives all rights to every citizen. however it will always be the national homeland of the Jewish people, not the Arab or any other people. We dont want Europe we dont want China, we dont want arabia, we dont want africa, we dont want any land other than our tiny 4000 year old homeland. If 90% of Arabs do not agree then they can either be residents here with their property intact etc or they can emigrate. Israel can pay them to do so.
37. Israel, including Judea/samaria is 67% jewish. In 1946 i
Jae ,   Lynn US   (10.27.09)
it was only 34%. If we could do it then with nothing but holocaust ashes we can do it now with a modern country and 10x the jewish population, and double the percentage we had then
38. 200,000 per arab family to emigrate back to Arabia, to syria
Jae ,   Yerushaliyim Israel   (10.27.09)
To egypt- where 90% came from.
39. Reality
Jason ,   Sullivan, IN, USA   (10.27.09)
Thanks to the author for writing this article. The fact is that in pre-politically-correct language, Palestine, Samaria, and Judea all bring the Jew to mind. To my knowledge I'm not a Jew, but the truth speaks boldly. With all the lies floating around, it's great to see that the LORD is bringing His children home, and He knows where their home is.
40. #22..Einar
Malone ,   Hfx   (10.27.09)
How easily the word "racist" comes to your lips,Einar.. You,from a nation of anti-semetics. Unbelievable.
41. #20-You got 2 countries - called Jordan and Eurabia
Alan ,   SA   (10.27.09)
42. I wonder when Norway will address their own racism
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (10.27.09)
Here we don't arrest mothers for giving their children names that are not approved by the government. But Norway does. I wonder why? Must be part of the their apartheid regime.
43. Sole Possible Solution Obvious For Decades (2nd)
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (10.27.09)
I've been explaining since 1988 that there is only one possible solution to this conflict: a Concurrent Village Network of non-contiguous protectorates. Protectorates solve the problems of self-determination and self-government with guaranteed rights of Israeli-secured travel and commerce to Arab states neighboring Israel, formal sovereignty (Israeli) and demography (no Israeli citizenship or voting right). Annexation is a prerequisite and would, in addition to formalizing our right as its only indigenous people, bring that solution an enormous step closer to reality and to genuine and durable peace enabling prosperity for its Arab inhabitants as well as Jews. I guess the inevitability is filtering up. 44. Annexing Judea and Samaria
Merry Hart ,   Chehalis, USA   (10.28.09)
It's about time someone speaks up...I totally agree...JUST DO IT! He KNOWS his history...God Bless him and the Jewish people!
45. Absolutely right
Brod ,   USA   (10.28.09)
Moshe Dann is absolutely right. Judea and Samaria are Israel's liberated historic homeland. It is GOD-GIVEN and GOD-RESTORED to Israel. Jeremiah 31:1-17, Ezekiel 36:24-38, Ezekiel 37:21-28, Ezekiel 39:27-29, Amos 9:14-15. No mortals should dare tamper with GOD'S Restoration of Modern Israel in their Ancient Land of Israel! Israel must defend and protect its liberated historic homeland from the Islamist-Jihadist Barbarians and Usurpers.
46. #33 Daniel
Rachel ,   Jlm   (10.28.09)
Modern Democracy actually means everyone gets a vote... not a country. Why should that have to do with Israel getting its own state? according to your logic, in Florida where you have an Hispanic majority in areas... this should entitle the Hispanic community to an individual autonomous Hispanic state. That is an absolutely anti-democratic way of thinking. Israel is entitled to its own State because of the "Historical national connection" of the Jewish People to the land. The Supreme Council, who's members conquered Palestine (right of conquest was int'l law until 1919) decided that all the former turkish and German territories would not be kept for their own benefit, but they would set up legitimate countries. Nearly 70 countries were set up under the Mandate system, around 30 in the Middle East and North Africa. With the same pen that created the Christian state of Lebanon, the Muslim state of Syria, the Muslim state of Mesopotamia, which changed its name to Iraq, the Jewish State of Palestine was created (Like Mesopotamia, Palestine changed its name when it became independent). No, there was no Palestinian Arab Nation. The Arabs never called themselves Palestinian until the 1960s. If you want evidence of that, go to your library and read the stacks,. You won't find the word "Palestinian" as an Arab nationality until the 60's. The supreme Council created the country of Palestine for the benefit of the Jewish people, no one else is named in the Mandate as a beneficiary. That is international law until this day. The Mandate does protect the Civil and religious rights of non-Jews. That is democracy, that is President Woodrow Wilson's 14- point plan which called for democracies to be set up.
47. Hamas-like agenda
(10.28.09)
Hamas too wants a single state between the river and the sea. And of course Hamas too justifies its demand with Scripture and history. Oh, and the self-respect. lol Extremists on both sides fade into the same black.
48. What a nightmare!
(10.28.09)
It isn't the 2.5 million they claim, that's for getting money from abroad, it is more than 1.5 million, but who wants them? Bituah leumi for another 1.5 deadbeats? I don't think so. Let Jordan have them. Oh, sorry, I forgot, Jordan washed its hands of them faster than you can say "Six Day War." Well, not Jordan, then one of the other friendly Arab states. Maybe they could all go to Dubai, Syria, Iraq maybe.
49. At last someone speaks sense

50. I would agree if
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim,   (10.28.09)
B"H If the State of Israel was Jewish, I'd agree. But it is just another secular state. So, what's the point in letting it annex our Biblical Heartland and turn it into just another secular suburb? No, here we need to establish the Jewish Kingdom, with Jewish institutions run on Biblical principles, not yet another corrupt democracy run on Hellenistic principles.
51. Jerusalem
Yoram Getzler ,   Jerusalem Israel   (10.28.09)
The issue is NOT self-respect self-determination or self-affirmation! It is practicly how you intend to function with the quarter million Arabs in the current Jerusalem borders, or with the million + in the rest of Judea & Samaria, not to mention the billion + Muslims to the East, West, North and South of us who as we know, are all eager to go into outrage and violence mode at a moments notice. If we are seriously comitted to survival we make difficult and wise decissions. Unfortunately this is not the world of Justice, which is surly on our side.
52. are you saying ??
palestinian ,   jerusalem ,Palestine   (10.28.09)
Giving all the palestinians israeli citizenship ..??Wow. Sign me up . So why all this fighting since 1948 ? As for the country's name ,will change it back to Palestine ,in a peaceful referendum ...nationwide from the sea to the river . As for the Palestinians were the jews comment ,the assistant professor is a Former one ..I think CUNY fired him over that ,or he was tested positive for drugs ...or he is a minister now with liberman (they think alike ). How low a man can go ..Is this what you guys teach in your schools ??
53. I now understand...
Mikesailor ,   Miami, FL   (10.28.09)
why the writer is an ex-professor. This is an unbelievable argument. If you 'annex' the West ank in the name of Ersatz Israel, wht do you do with the inhabitants? Do you offer citizenship to the Palestinians in a bi-national state? Do you expel them? Exterminate them? Formalize the apartheid sytem you are already imposing? Come on you cowards, answer the question. Rather than steal piecemeal, announce to the world your real intentions. Stop pretending that you want 'peace' with the Arab population and define the real 'peace' you are seeking...the 'peace' of the grave. If you don't want the 'two-state' solution, and you don't want the 'one state' solution, Tell me ..What do you want? The only condition would be that your solution must be grounded in reality and not on 'magical' thinking that somehow G-D will save you from yourselves.
54. Annex Judea and Samaria
karen ,   USA   (10.28.09)
Wonderful article and 100% right!
55. annexing Yahudah& Shomron
Roger ,   Bangor, USA   (10.30.09)
Don't forget that the ten northern tribes will be brought back to the Land gathered from the four corners of the earth. Keep this in mind that all Yahudans are Israelites, but not all Israelites are Yahudans. Now if the Israeli govt. would remove the barriers keeping us from returning, we will fill all of Shomron so the pals will have to go home to Jordan
