1. Jerusalem the Only Holie place to Judaism.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (10.28.09)
One of the most popular lies that has become universally accepted as if it was an indisputable truth is the myth about Jerusalem being the third sacred place to Islam. It is quite rare to hear the honest truth, that Jerusalem is the First and Only Holiest place to Judaism! As a matter of fact, Jerusalem is not mentioned at all in the koran, and Muhammad has never been there (perhaps he did not even know about the existence of Jerusalem!). The tale about his dream flight has been related with Jerusalem in a very recent time for political strategy purposes. The Islamic claim to the Temple Mount is very recent - Jerusalem's role as "The Third Holiest Site in Islam" in mainstream Islamic writings does not precede the 1930s. It was created by the grand mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini as explained at : http://xrl.us/bjheo
2. Jerusalem our Eternal Capital iregardless
JK ,   NYC USA   (10.28.09)
Of course that if Israeli law also acknowledges the fact will be nice, but in any case Jerusalem is G-d's Capital and the Capital of the Jewish people, and not the only holy place like the first talkback suggest. We don't need to show that even the arabs recognized this facty in the past, or other nations. It is an eternal truth . As well as the rest of the Land of Israel is ours, every inch of it.
3. Disagree With Isaac Herzog
Christy ,   Boston, US   (10.28.09)
Herzog quote"... understands that these declarations don't have value and only damage Jerusalem's interests." I think it would speak volumes to the entire world if Israel declared Jerusalem the capital city. It would show the world that Israel is serious about retaining Jerusalem and would give Jerusalem the status it has historically held for the Jews. It would also announce that Jerusalem is OFF any negotiating table permanently. Of course, there would be a lot of negative reaction to this stance.
4. Jerusalem is Israel's Capital
Brod ,   USA   (10.28.09)
Regardless of the forces of Leftism and the godless, Jerusalem is the Eternal, Indivisible Capital-City of Israel since Ancient Time. Jews who do not know the GOD of Israel are NOT true Jews and they cannot represent Israel. Israel means follower of the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Why are you guys in the USA? Why don't you go live in Israel? Isn't it your Holy Land? You wanna fight for Jerusalem, you gotta be there, instead of barking thousands of miles away!

Why do you call it a 'popular lie' ? how do you know that it's a lie? Do you have facts? If so please enlighten us!!! The fact is, Jerusalem is not the third sacred place in islam, it is the Al AQSA mosque which is the third sacred place in islam! it is due to your ignorance that is deeply rooted in your brain that you can't debate an issue properly. Moreover, jerusalem is not mentioned in the koran, however, AL AQSA mosque IS mentioned in the Koran, another blow to you!!!! you claim that Muhammad going to Jerusalem is a tale! The truth is, it is not a tale, it is mentioned in the Koran not by your demon, Haj Husseini...i don't know what basis you depend on, your lies are beyond belief!!! you , and others like you, keep mentioning haj husseini as if he is of huge value to the islamic world! You say "Jerusalem's role as "The Third Holiest Site in Islam" in mainstream Islamic writings does not precede the 1930s" !!!! This is pure crap! it is all mentioned in the Koran! you are just weak and ill minded, very uneducated to say the least...if you wanna post claims against your enemy, you better get your self a proper education first! BTW, how many times is jerusalem mentioned in the Torah? I repeat THE TORAH!
7. #5 because they don't allow
DC   (10.28.09)
Non-Jews are not eligible for Aliyah. If you have certain religious beliefs you are disqualified. I am a non-Jew with a love for Israel and Jerusalem. It is central to my faith and love for my creator. I would gladly emigrate to Israel, and serve in the IDF but I am not allowed.
8. :: Jerusalem will always be 'shared'
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (10.28.09)
Jerusalem is a city holy to three religions and as such all three religions should have the freedom to worship there. However, religion aside for the moment, on a more practical level Jerusalem is the capital of two people - Israelis and Palestinians. I think it will be quite fitting that, as an commitment to peace, both Israelis and Palestinians will share Jerusalem as their capital cities as part of a future peace agreement.

Try reading Zecharia 8, although you'll probably just keep comming up with more excuses. You know the G-D of Israel was written about before Mohamad came up with your Allah. If you read the old testament you will also see that G-D asked Israel to make him a house of worship which king Solomon built. Why do muslims pray with their backs towards Jerusalem if it is so religiously important to them and pray towards Meca. G-D never broke the covenent he made with Israel, even though he punished them he has brought them back. Neither the Muslims, or anyone else will take them away from Jerusalem.
10. #5 - Love To Be There
Christy ,   Boston, US   (10.29.09)
I'd love to be there, but I'm a Christian and not eligible for citizenship. Christians believe we are commanded in the Bible to pray for Israel, bless the Jews, and pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. We can do this wherever we are. If I were there I'd politically support anyone who would stop giving away Israeli land.
11. #10 Christy, that's the problem with people like you!
Wildmandxb ,   M.E.   (10.30.09)
The problem is you keep on generalizing as if every christian prays for israel. you are probably an evangelical, the filthy cult that is hated by every other christian and many jews! if not, what ever cult you come from, it still is a cult which is followed by 'some'christians and NOT ALL! Real Christians who follow the tract of Jesus Christ don't think like you Christy, i promise you that!

You are wrong. Evangelicals are good Christians. The fake christians are the AntiSemites.
