Netanyahu, Barak split over Iran draft    Roni Sofer
1. Hezbollah...
has downgraded Barak from a paper tiger in 2000 to a mere toothless pussy cat in 2006. I guess Barak thinks that by pretending to be tough with regards to Iran's nuclear program, he would regain some of his lost testosterone.

2. Barak is right
on this issue. The fanatical Islamist-Jihadists in Iran must not be allowed to tinker with nukes. Nor should any fanatical entities or states be allowed to tinker with the tool of Armageddon. If fanatics are allowed to tinker with nukes, It would lead to Hiroshimas all over the world. It would mean the end of the world-the end of humanity.

3. The West should wake up!
There is no doubt that Iran is the greatest national security threat to the state of Israel. Two nuclear bombs would destroy Israel. Given the overwhelming amount of evidence, anyone who doubts that Iran is actively seeking technology to build nuclear weapons is simply delusional. Those who believe the Iranian regime is willing to forgo what it sees as the divinely inspired mission of eliminating Israel are, at best, dangerously naïve. Those who think Iranian leaders are more worried about survival than reaching paradise and attaining Islam’s ultimate victory, are not listening with open ears. All too many Westerners fall prey to the soft bigotry that presumes men like Ahmadinejad are incapable of saying what they mean and meaning what they say. The West should wake up: http://xrl.us/bj3ri

4. useless
These talks, proposals, and agreements are useless from beginning to end. They are a smoke-screen to pacify the readers only. If anyone was serious about limiting Iranian nuclear capabilities, we would be seeing an entirely different set of ACTION, not talk. There would be a blockade of Iran three years ago. When US invaded Iraq, they would have stopped Iran as well. They would block the roads from Syria and stop all aid to terrorist governments. They would not put a known sympathizer in charge of inspections. They would have blocked resolutions and actions legitimizing Iran and Hezbollah. They would have encouraged Iran to pursue pebble-bed technology, perhaps creating a multi-lateral consortium for R&D on pebble-bed to include also Russia. Or hydrogen technology. If they wanted to stop Iran, we would be seeing much different things happening today. Not one single effective measure has been taken or even discussed. NOT ONE. To the contrary, every thing the world can do to HELP Iran acquire nuclear weapons IS being done. What the US does now is legitimize it's opportunity to claim they have always been a friend of Islam, because in the near future there will be no Israel, only a sea of glowing green glass. This will happen because the leadership lacks the will to do what must be done. Everyone wants to be remembered as a "peacemaker" even when a knife is held to the throat. That is not noble, it is stupid and suicidal. It is like telling your attacker "It's okay, you can cut my throat just bit. We can be friends. See, I even take all the bullets from my rifle. I don't mind bleeding if it brings peace."

5. #3 leaders not asleep
Perhaps the western -society- is asleep, but the leaders are not. Can you not see that in fact, the western leaders are the ones who put society to sleep in the first place? They pretend to talk and threaten and sanction Iran in public, so all can hear. But at the same time, they give Iran ALL THE ROOM IT NEEDS. They know exactly what Iran is doing, and for them, it is strictly a financial decision to allow it. Nothing more. Iran will not be stopped. That is the decision that has been made. It is rationalized as being the lesser of two evils, because it will be a shorter and more limited war if Iran eliminates Israel, than the other way around. It is a conscious decision to allow it. An agreement by the same people you think are somehow so stupid that they cannot even tell Iran is using time to develop nuclear capabilities. Of course they know this. There is only one reason why they allow it.

8. Barak is right...
But the point is Iran HAS a legitimate right to enrich Uranium for power generation and other peaceful purposes. There is not a damn thing Israel or anyone else to stop Iran's program. Therefore what Barak or Natanyahu think about Iran's legal nuclear program is irrelevant.
Persian CAT   (10.31.09)
9. 8# iran has no enrichment rights because
it lies and cheated and therefore cannot be trusted and therefore it has to close down ALL its nuclear facilities or Israel will close Iran's nuclear facilities down permanantly
