Hopefully next will be trade
32. Without East Jerusalem
Shlomo Kamra   (11.03.09)
Eitan, you forget to mention, that that 95% of land offered to Palestine was sans East Jerusalem, and therefore the deal was totally unacceptable to them. Israel refuses to make peace, because the jews and the zionists are a warmongering people, who need to have an enemy-its part of the jewishness that we don't understand. Since 1948, when have you not had an enemy, or an agressive army, or conscription? Huh????
33. #30 Abu Shlomo Kamra Marco

But Norway's neighbors have not behaved like the Palestinians. They maintain peaceful borders with Norway. They do not cross into Norway to terrorize people or shoot kassams and bombs into cities. And please give examples of what steps the Palestinians have taken to make peace with Israel? Are the kassams that continue to land in Israel an example? It's a pity the Palestinians use other countries to fight their battles. Trondheim is a center for Palestinian led anti-Israel boycotts.
34. Israeli propaganda by Eitan #18
RON ,   FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA   (11.07.09)
Eitan, you have been praised for your posting, #18. But let's put it in perspective. Those who are critical of Israeli policies are not racists, because semites are not a race. The charge is frivolous. Also the size of Israel and the size of its population are irrelevant in any discussion of Israeli policies. I don't know what you mean by,"Israel accepted UN resolution 242." Israel is in violation of UN 242. It did not call for, "warring parties to recognize each others right to exist within secure boundaries based on negotiations." You made that up. UN 242 emphasized the inadmissibility of the acquisition of territory by war, and demanded the withdrawal of Israeli armed forces from territories occupied in recent conflict(1967 war.) You are wrong about the 1979 agreement to grant temporary autonomy in Judea and Samaria, the agreement never got beyond the stage of preliminary talks. At Camp David Barak offered 61% of occupied territories and refused use of maps; strategic roads to be used only by Israelis; continued control of all borders; all Palestine external trade to go thru Israel; large settlement areas and East Jerusalem to be retained by Israel, including 250 sq kilometers adjacent to East Jerusalem. The offer was take it or leave it. Arafat left it.So would you. Olmert's 2009 peace offer was not turned down by Abbas. In fact, Abbas said "with that offer(93%of West Bank and Gaza) we can have peace in 2 days." The quartet agreed and requested Israel make the offer binding. It never did. You are uninformed or made something else up : The PLO recognized the State of Israel in 1993 and the Arab League recognized Israel as the State of Israel in a 2000 peace offer. Israel never responded.
