Egypt urges world to 'intervene in racist occupation'     Roee Nahmias
1. When did Egypt get elected to the Knesset?
Them telling Israel how to run a country is LUDACRIS! "The failure of the ME", Egypt needs to look inward...the whole thing is rotted out...as soon as Mubarrak goes so goes Egypt...bye bye!
dav zee ,   atlanta   (11.03.09)
2. Jerusalem is morally, legally and physically Israeli land
So if the Arabs don't like it they can leave. Now is not too soon.
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (11.03.09)
3. Racism?
Whose incorrect definition of racism is this? The same PR-savvy bunch that equated Zionism and racism at the UN in the 1970's. The word is being used only for its inflammatory value. Let's talk about the "racism" that underlies the whole concept of dhimmi. Let's talk about the "racist" death penalty for Moslem conversion to any other religion. Let's talk about "racist" exclusion of non-Moslems from Makka.
Miransky ,   al-Abama   (11.03.09)
4. Jerusalem has always been the symbol of Jewish unity.
Only twice in Jerusalem's history has it served as a national capital. The first time was as the capital of the two Jewish Commonwealths during the First and Second Temple periods, as described in the Bible, reinforced by archaeological evidence and numerous ancient documents. The second time is in modern times as the capital of the State of Israel. It has never served as an Arab capital for the simple reason that there has never been a Palestinian Arab state. 5. smoke, lies and poor grip on reality
as if the bread lines and crumbling dictatorship are not enough to keep them busy.
i ,   jerusalem   (11.03.09)
6. End the racist Arab occupation of Judea and Samaria.
Go back to Arabia. If Egypt is so concerned, why did they close their borders with Gaza during the Hamas War? Oh, that's right, they only care when it's convenient. That's why I didn't pursue a career in foreign relations.
Josh ,   Atlanta   (11.03.09)
7. would guarantee the establishment of a Palestinian state.
He "demands a commitment which would guarantee the establishment of a Palestinian state. " Funny they had 2 chances and turned them down and now will not talk to Israel at all. So what guarantees does he want that these non-existent talks will lead to a state? When the Palestinian people have a government to negotiate then we can start talking with them. Until then we want Egypt to stop building in occupied Sinai.
Eric ,   Tel Aviv   (11.03.09)
8. The day after Mubarak dies the Muslim Brotherhood takes over
= they rip up the peace treaty and Egypt returns the Sinai to Israel.
expel arabs ,   back to egypt!   (11.03.09)
9. Put Hossam Zaki on trial for war crimes
Isn't ethnic cleansing a war crime? Didn't the Egyptians illegally turf out all their Jews in the 50s and 60s? That sounds like ethnic cleansing to me. Pot calling the kettle black, no?
JPS ,   Efrat   (11.03.09)
10. Egypt and Obama can go to Hell
(11.03.09)
11.  Stop racist Arab occupation of Jerusalem
Jerusalem, the city of God, the capital of the Jews, can only be under occupation when occupied by non-Jews, since she lawfully belongs to the Jews as their ancient capital. Islam's imperialism does not give the Arabs inherent rights to the land they occupied by the force of arms, and they should be told so in no uncertain terms. Arabs have no right to ANY part of Israel, most of all, no right to Jerusalem. Since Jews claim no right to Medina, were they had once lived and owned property, Arabs should get it through their intolerant minds that they can claim no right to any traditionally Jewish land they had ceased through conquest -- that includes Judea and Samaria, as well. The has never been a palestinian nation, Palestinian language, Palestinian culture, but there has been Israel, a Jewish nation, with its capital in Jerusalem and that nation has survived in diaspora and has returned home to reclaim its land and homes. The Arab and Ottoman settlers may remain as loyal citizens of a Jewish state or they can go home -- their choice. Egypt, stay out and honor your treaty with Israel, that is if you have any honor.

12. PALESTINIAN TERRITORIES? WHAT IS THAT?
another arab fantasy to deny the jews their true and proper heritage.
stude ham   (11.03.09)
13. Egypt and the world
should stop intruding in Israel's internal affairs. Jerusalem belongs to Israel since ancient time. All these Arab Islamist-Jihadists should stop usurping the Land of Israel from the Jews.
Brod ,   USA   (11.03.09)
14. Egyptian leaders should stop being....
cry babies. They should act like real men by giving Israel an ultimatum: Stop commiting crimes against the Palestinians or else the peace treaty would be history.
Marco ,   Spain   (11.03.09)
15. What about self defence?
If anybody enter my house or my father's house in this way there will be no another option except to shoot him in forehead, even if that person is prime minister of Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin himself. I think Muslims in Jerusalem trust to Israeli "mishtara" too much, so let them bear it.
Hasan Ahmadov ,   Kazan, RUSSIA   (11.03.09)
16. The chutzpa of Egypt..What??
hey whoever wrote this piece of rubbish coming from Egypt no less should turn around and look inside Egypt's troubles with the "muslim brotherhood" that Hamas follows and stop right there before making stupid pronouncements lol T someone who said:Once Mubarak goes Egypt bye, bye? I don't tink so,because he heir apparent his son will take over, ans in hopes he'll continue in a democratic way to save the few vestiges remaining there BEING THE TOURIST INDUSTRY plus the bilions of $$$ they receive from the USA.

Let's throw the whole bunch out PRESTO.
James ,   ISRAEL   (11.03.09)
18. Silly Egypt
East Jerusalem has been formally annexed by Israel. It is a part of the sovereign State of Israel. Forever. The citizens of East Jerusalem must obey the dictates of the Israeli court. The Court, based on clear proof of provenance and actual records of the time, made their decision. If the illegal squatters do not leave the premises and allow the rightful owners to take full and untrammeled possession of their property, they will be evicted. If they resist the lawful order of the court and resort to physical violence, they will be arrested and put in jail. Israel is a country of laws. Not a terrorist free-for-all-rabble like the PA and Hamas.

19. Palestinians too have houses that were confiscated
If the settlers want to play the game of saying that they were expelled from such and such house that once belonged to them before the wars, its only fair that Palestinians who lost property in Israel due to wars have the right to do this too.
Faisal ,   Vancouver, Canada   (11.03.09)
20. #14, Marco, Egypt is in violation of its agreements..give US
fine, Egypt needs to give US back the 10s of billions they stole for not following its peace agreement with Israel. As for Jerusalem, its Jewish, has been for a long time. Check the census, until Muslims ethnically cleansed Jerusalem of Jewish majority in what is called E JErusalem today. You cant make up where history starts and finishes. Cancel Palestine. Create peace. Arab Palestine is already over 80% of the land, Israel is less than 20%. Stop trying to steal more of Israel. Year Total Muslim Jewish Christian % Jews 1844 15,510 5,000 7,120 3,390 45.9 1876 25,030 7,560 12,000 5,470 47.9 1896 45,420 8,560 28,112 8,748 61.9 1922 52,081 13,411 33,971 4,699 65.2 1931 90,451 19,894 51,222 19,335 56.6 1945 164,330 33,680 99,320 31,330 60.4 1. This figure is quoted widely on the Web and is apparently the Ottoman census figure. It is given for example here. 2. John Oesterreicher and Anne Sinai, eds., Jerusalem, (NY: John Day, 1974), p. 1 3. 21. and now comes Egypt...who cares
can I ask what Egypt did to back up any peace agreement with the PA? can I ask where all the promises re tunnel smuggling in Gaza went? why is there a rocket that can reach (G D forbid) Tel Aviv. since when is every issue in Israel up for disscussion at the UN Egypt, Turkey, Jordan etc. How about Israel should bring any domestic issue in Egypt etc to the UN and condem publicly.. they should all stay out and take care of their own issues such as human rights violations!!!
Menny ,   US   (11.03.09)
22. tired of muslims preaching
tired of muslims preaching to Israel when they are so so so far from being innocent, decent, democratic and fair. They have the worst human rights records, started all the wars, commited hundreds of terror attacks, took our land for peace which barely exists and then still preach! Meaningless.

23.  HA HA HA Pals not given
free education , nor government jobs nor citizenship in Egypt, even 3-4 generations later. Compensate the jews evicted from Egypt in 49-52. let the Christian Copts practice freely !
Alexander ,   USA   (11.03.09)
24. Racist occupation
By alienating more and more people around the globe, the unbearable arrogance of the Zionist ideology is gradually digging it’s own grave. Forgot what happened to the Marxist-Leninist ideology of the ex-Soviet Union, to the colonialist ideology of western powers, but also to that other ideology proclaiming the superiority of one nation and it’s right to extend it’s territory at the expense of others (Blut- und Boden-Ideologie)?
Chardon Bleu ,   Geneva Switzerland   (11.03.09)
25. egypt.....
admiting that egypt is well qualified to decide who is a racist (ha..ha..), i do believe that jerusalem, including the stolen temple mount is an integral part of the state of israel. if egypt is so very concerned about their "palestinian brothers", they should compensate them for what happened in 1948... within egyptian borders!!!
les ,   canada   (11.03.09)
26. To: No. 19
Not quite. The Palestinian Arabs who heeded the calls of the Egyptian, Iraqi, Jordanian and Syrian military commanders to move out of the way so that the "conquering Arab armies could throw the Jews into the Sea" made a bad choice when they left, but it was their choice to make. The Palestinian Arabs who did NOT heed the call to leave still have their homes, are Israeli citizens today, enjoying peaceful and prosperous lives and having all of the rights of citizenship, but not all of the obligations. Those who left made a bad decision, particularly in light of the fact that their Arab brethren in left them to rot in sordid refugee camps rather than resettle them, but it was their decision and they have to take ownership of it, no matter how tragic the consequences. Nearly one million Jews were thrown out of the Arab and Moslem nations that had been their home for centuries -- forced to leave with little more than the clothes on their backs. No one hears about them, however, because Israel absorbed them ALL. I'm sorry, sir, but I am not terribly sympathetic to your argument. Six wars later, sixty-one years of unrelenting terror later, and the Palestinians continue to cry "poor, poor, pitiful me." The Palestinians have always been the architects of their own misfortune. No one is going to "fix" your mistakes. Sorry. That is not how the world works. Get over it.

27. throughout history, only military force can liberate land...
the palestinians (and arabs in general) are just now understanding that land can only be liberated by force. conducting "peace talks" accomplishes nothing...
american observer ,   dc   (11.03.09)
28. To: No. 24
Still waiting for you to account for Swiss war crimes against the Jews -- ongoing to this day. The insurance frauds. Theft of Jewish Swiss bank accounts. So, unless and until you do, none of your comments are worthy of merit or attention. Nu?
Sarah B ,   New York / Saviyon   (11.03.09)
29. #7 - and what guarantees from "Pals" does Egypt want?
I agree with your post Eric. Twice the "palestinians" were offered a State in which to build and have self-determination on, and blew it because it didn't fit their racist and greedy agenda. Egypt should demand from "pals" that a State will be at the end of these talks and not just used to play for time with the stated goal of destroying Israel.
William ,   Israel   (11.03.09)
30. #14 - Wow bing words from the land of rabbits
The name "Spain" means "land of rabbits". I think that it's slightly wrong in translation and really means "the land of rabid racists" If Egypt didn't find personal value in keeping peace with Israel, it wouldn't keep the peace treaty. You know Arabs...they renounce every agreement they make if they don't need it anymore. It's considered an honor to follow in the footsteps of their ultimate theft, Muhammed. Egypt wants the "pals" even less than Israel, and they DON'T want the IDF trouncing them again, so the result is clear. Same with Jordan. They keep the peace because they remember the brutality and lies of "palestinians", the very same who stole the Al-Aqsa from their rightful keepers, the Hashemites, and the same who gunned down King Hussein's grandfather on the steps of Al-Aqsa in 1951. The other attempts to create civil war in Lebanon and Jordan are also in everyone's minds. So while Arabs decry Israel as being brutal, many whisper a silent "Kol HaKavod Israel".
