Abbas says will not seek reelection    Ali Waked
1. Comment
I support Abbas with his decision. It saves his face and gives hope that something could change
Mohammad ,   Jordan   (11.05.09)
2. the old crybaby trick......learned at the
knee of arafat.
Lior ,   Israel   (11.05.09)
3. Abbas
hahaha lol. If I count how many times Abbas said he will not run in the elections at $1 each time, I would have a million dollars. Nice try, but you will never change the mind of my main men Natanyahu or Lieberman. Quit already, we need a change Abbas
Eyal ,   Highland Beach   (11.05.09)
4.  Bye, .... butt
Abass will blame Israel for this in an obvious ploy to get everything, via US intervention, he wants in exchange for nothing. lLt him go- he probably will lose election anyway, if there is any opponent permitted in 'election'. He was never popular nor wanted nor a leader . A more anti-West peson will win and place PA along with Hamas as one and same.
Tom   (11.05.09)
5. I didn't get my way so I'll throw a tantrum. This is Abbas,
historically. First, I don't believe him and secon, I wouldn't be concerned. King Abdalla of Jordan can take over and in the process also take over negotiations with Israel and the devision of the West Bank between the two states, just as UN Security Council Resolution 242 calls for.
Ilana Sade ,   Kibbutz Horshim   (11.05.09)
6. Good deiscion we don't need morons in presidency.
He screw up the hole palestinian cause believing the endless meetings in 5 stars hotels will liberate the occupied lands. What an idioit!!! Palestinian with Abbas and Meschal got f@..d up by Israeli to the end both strategies failed ,the negotiation and the resistance with the help of the co called F..ng arab moderate kings nad president cretines.
Sami ,   Lebanon   (11.05.09)
7. I LIKE TO SEE MR. ABBAS IN WAR COURT TO JUDGE
ISRAEL CANT DO ALL WAR CRIMES BY ITSELF. I NEED TO KNOW ISRAEL'S TERRORIZM SUPPORTERS
ATİLLA KARAGÖZOĞLU   (11.05.09)
8. # 1 "something will change". I hope too: Having the King as
our head of state instead of the PLO or Hamas. I am a Jordanian citizen as you are and as most people in the West Bank. Many if not most of us have had it. We want to continue to be part of Jordan, and the sooner the better. Arafat is dead. Abu Mazen is about to retire. We tried their way, and it didn't work. Now it is time to have Jordan take over the West Bank. I am sure Israel will be delighted to deal with the King instead of these corrupt "leaders" who can't manage a city, let alone a state.
Ramzi ,   Nablus, (Jordan)   (11.05.09)
9. Please let us know when he'll finally mean what he says.
(11.05.09)
10. #1 and 8
Palestinian becomes like decease, no body want them .Israel –No ,Jordan –No ,Egypt –No ,Lebanon –No , Arab Golf states –No etc....... some for demographic reason other for sectarian and religious mismatch other afraid for theirs long live presidency or kings chairs. Weak up moron!!The only place left for you is the sea or the cemeteries. Keep fighting between each other for a post here and there or for the mythical authority that exist only on your imaginary. When all Arabs looser dropped down the Palestinian flag and give it up , it got caught by the Iranian . This my give last hope the justice will be restored some day.
Sami ,   Lebanon   (11.05.09)
11. # 8 i AGREE
YOSSI   (11.05.09)
12. To # 8 : We Don't Want You At All ...!!!
Absolutely not.We do not and will never need your tyrannical king. We have not forgotten yet the bloody Black September war of 1970 and the summer 1971 " Jerash & Ajloun " mssacres . The real problem is that Palestinian leadership, just like your king, is terribly corrupt and much selfish. If there were a truely nationalistic leadership the palestinian problem could very well be solved easily and in quite a short time. Abdel Karim Salim Sharif Jerusalem POB : 51470 Mobile # 0546504963

13. :: Mohammad - Barghouti running?
Any thoughts on Barghouti running in the Palestinian presidential elections?
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (11.05.09)
14. abbas says will not seek
TO ATILLA, Oh Jesus, there you go again with Israel's "war crimes." Why don't you look up the definition of war crimes? People killed because they were (or were forced to be) in the line of enemy fire, because Hamas purposely and maliciously wages war from inside homes, hospitals and schools, this is not the definition of a war crime. The only war crimes were committed by the terrorists who fight from inside civilian population, so that when civilians are killed, they can go screaming "war crimes" to the UN. If any body needs to be brought before any tribunal on war crimes it is only Hamas. Oh and I forgot the war crimes they committed when firing missiles on a civilian population in Israel for 8 years. I dont think I saw any of your comments about "war crimes" when missiles were falling in Israel, without any provocation from Israel at all. Huh, Atila???????
debbie ,   israel   (11.05.09)
15. I agree with Ramzi - # 8. I am also a Palestinian who lives
in the West Bank, and from experience I say: enough with the PLO and Hamas, enough with Israel. Let us demand that Jordan come to an agreement with Israel about and take over the West Bank.
Fouzi   (11.06.09)
16. #1,8,15: insist that a referendum re-Jordan is on ur ballot
There is no reason to tolerate a failed and corrupt government. If you don't like the job your elected leaders are doing, throw the bums out (just like we did with Bush.)
usa   (11.06.09)
17. To: No. 16
George W. Bush, Sr.? Yes. He was thrown out. George W. Bush, Jr.? He served his allotted two terms.

18. To: Debbie at No. 14
I thank you for your articulate and informed response. However, I should caution you that Attila is a few cards short of a full deck. A few people have tried to correct his woefully lacking knowledge of history or geopolitics, and have given up in disgust. Just let him rant -- no one pays attention.
