3. You failed to explain
You failed to explain HOW anti-Zionism is antisemitism. It's just a ranting article and an excuse to deny Palestinian rights and their own tragedy by conflating the two. It's getting old. Seriously.

4. to prophesor
it is not crystal night .it is crystal ball . it is one way to say the future by looking through a crestal ball .is it magic ??i think the one who look through it say what he wants the other to believe ... sir i see other thing .. jihad is not against any body but it defend the selfe .. so it is not against jews or american or any religion or race ... i believe it is difficult to change the religion by force .. now the war on terror is a war on moslems here in palastine which most of palastinian are moslems in iraq in afghanistan and in pakistan .. i think by time you will put the moslems allover the world to defened themselves and their religion this is the real jihad not hate ..

5. Jewish Self Delusion
Israel has wiped Palestine off the Map. Quit making excuses. Face Reality, You are Stealing Land, pushing the natives onto de-facto reservations, waiting for the right crisis to transfer them out of Greater Israel.
Obama will soon recognize Palestine. Palestine-Israel, 2 States, 1 Country. Jewish Minority.

6. Kristallnacht irony
The irony about the assassination of Ernst vom Rath and the subsequent horrors of Kristallnacht is that vom Rath had become very disillusioned about Nazism and was ready to turn in his resignation and defect from Germany. Tomorrow will mark Kristallnacht plus 71 years, the remembrance of which will be overshadowed by celebrations of the breach of the Berlin Wall plus 20 years.

7. Wistrich writes
that "the scourge of anti-Semitism. In a sinister and sometimes devious manner, the widespread defamation and demonization of Israel ."
Mr. Wistrich cheapens the charge of anti-semitism by implying that disagreement with Israel equates with anti-semitism. I disagree with much of what my country (the U.S. does) but I am not anti-American. When I was a child being an anti semite was a serious charge but when you mix that charge up with genuine disagreements with Israili policy then it looses it's punch. Just because Jimmy Carter or Shimon Peres for that matter disagree with a policy of Israel does not mean that they are anti-semitic.

9. to #3 nop zionism have no connection to palis
zionism is the return of jews home after being on exile, when Hertzel published his novel his zionist vision was to bring jews home to live side by side with arabs in harmony aparently non of the ani zionist bother to read zionist content and sutisfy in bashing with out even know what it's all about. many of thezionist leaders even acted to bring jews and arabs together againe non of anti zionists bother to know or read about them. let me ask you this whould you hate zionist if he wwasn't a jew?

12. West's blind eye
As the Holocaust survivor, I completely agree with you that again we are facing "concrete threats" for the existence of our, Jewish people and the state of Israel. Even the democratic world (including the USA) seems not (or will not!) to see and understand how deep is the hatred of muslim fundamentalists and the most of Arabs against Jews and the existence of Israel. The Jews are only 13 millions vis-a-vis 1.5 billion muslims in the world, not to mention other anti-semites !? Only the Heavens and the Jewish unity can save our people and our lands, not America !

13. Comparison and the wall
To me it is not appropriate to compare the beginning of the killing of millions with the behavior of Arabic counties today. No matter how much hate they have, they still didn't kill millions. To me in some way this article is playing down what the nazis did. You might say "This time we will be patient before something that horrifying happens and take action if necessary."
But I'm afraid that this attitude would justify any violent behavior of any country or person towards any other.
Is it okay to punish somebody for a crime before he did it?
If I am afraid that my neighbor kills me so I will kill him in advance? Is this okay? But he noticed that I am afraid so he wants to be the first... What i am trying to say is that you have to be careful with these kind of arguments and predictions cause they might fulfill themselves and what they definitely do is produce an atmosphere of hate and mistrust.
So maybe what we learned from the holocaust is that hate and racism brings out the worst in in a human being and we need to protect the world and ourselves from these feelings to make it a better place?

14. To Ghostq:
You always succeed in amusing us with your infamous remarks! I am not gonna comment anymore on your silly grammatical and spelling mistakes as it is out of context, atleast for now...Mr.ghostq, please read the books you talk about before you give any feedback because with all due respect you look very stupid when you mention things that are no where near the truth...Herzel's 'novel' that you mentioned NEVER mentions anything about bringing jews to live side by side with the arabs with harmony, he never even made the effort to survey the land and see for himself how many arabs where living there, this is in addition to many other issues that can't be stated now due to the length of the subject, just go read the book rather than pretending to have read it!
Another thing, regarding your comment about title deeds, we have the title deed to our family house in Haifa, it is written in both Hebrew and Arabic, how do you feel, now that your false claims are exposed?

15. Prof. You forgot to mention what causes this antizionism to
prosper?
I will tell you.. Its the everyday acts taken by zionist israelis eversince the movement was established. You reap what you sow. Israelis are killing, stealing lands, demolishing houses, extracting, genociding, blocking, smothering, palestinians day and night.. and you expect anyone who have traces of humanity to accept your actions, and close their eyes and ears.

16. to #13 in theory everything sound good
in reality what you sugest? many people around the world think that by puting their name in history as saviors, but in real life can you translate this peace and harmony to what? and I can sense your criticism you learned nothing from the holocaust, cause you here in jewish media critic to jews, I doubt you do the same to others. mmm maybe you r not a man of peace as you think you r. just now you already made statment racism toward who? mmm john sorry you don't pass the reality test.
|
|
17. to John, TA "they still didn't kill millions"
If you count all the massacres Arab committed against their own in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, North Africa against Africans and the Iran-Iraq war, you get "millions".
|
|
18. to #14 did you read it?
mmm nop, but it mention there go read it I dare you it said in clear words, the arab during turkih mandat were very small neglacted comunities when dar el omar the bedouin destroied haifa and rebuilt it with walls around calling it new haifa during 1800 and I saw the maps, most of the city were chritians since the city origin was from the carmelite chritian order witch was small monestery, no official population counting of arab society held back than, and during ottoman mandate.
btw Dar el omar was executed by the turkes, mmm and deed were given by british not by turkes, mmm witch means if there is no english than yours is fake unless the Israeli gov gave you one, turks gave only visas, but no land deed.

quote: "and I can sense your criticism you learned nothing from the holocaust, cause you here in jewish media critic to jews, I doubt you do the same to others. mmm maybe you r not a man of peace as you think you r. just now you already made statment racism toward who?"
Well, I understand what you are saying and I really don't do it in arabic media or where ever... the reason is basically that I care more about Israel than the other countries. And if you have the feeling that my critic is racist i am sorry cause not every criticism is racist. If you feel offended it is maybe cause you see that there is some truth in it. I just see a lot of hate in the world and I think that more hate is not the right answer to that. I am totally aware of the fact that this is far from reality, since there are always people who try to take advantage of others, but does it justify any behavior?
And btw I think you are are far from being right if you think that somebody who criticizes the author of an article in an israeli newspaper criticizes all jews and it is even more ridicules if you think that critics like that can be compared to the holocaust - you just trivialize it and debase the victims.
|
|
22. to #21 I am not offended
I really don't, and I don't think the israeli palestinian can be solved in one year or two years or 10, it's slow procces, that is how you achive real agreement, time mmm need more time and will, but the culture scares too deep, (speaking in general tearms cause both will agree with me on this) and they r not ready for peace any real estate agreement that will be force on any side will be artificial not real and neglectful . from what I know the both sides speak different languages cultural wise it will be real hard to make bridg between mentalities. the fine exmple of that was the 30's arab riots they thought the 1 in may march was jewish protest, it end up badly, mmm either can someone even translate I don't know cause until now all so call people who had idea didn't understood the both sides.

23. #19.. and your point is?I'm a genius, thank you :)
So what?
Judaism is known to have been long before chrisitianity and Islam, and we all believe in that. Jews lived in palestine long time ago? true, jews lived in europe centuries ago? Very true.. Christians reside on all earth sides, So genuinely true..So what? What is your point? People of Palestine never had problems with jews since the ancestors time. They started having problems with zionists the moment they established their movement, and to answer your question: Yes they hate Zionists but they dont hate jews, because they believe in judaism and its considered a break of one of the important 5 commandments not to believe in religions of God.
They hate zionists because they stole their lands and evacuated them, they killed palestinians under the name of zionism and not judaism, and thats why their are many jews who dont identify themselves with judaism here on this lands, and in other countries.

Your English is, as usual, very confusing, it leaves little margin for response, i am really confused about the message you are sending, and to tell you the truth. it is not interesting at all discussing such issues with someone like you, as you seem to be stuck on a very minute detail and missing on a lot of the main aspects of the conflict.

It does not have to be. Even translations from Hebrew here are not perfect. So what?
If you are missing perfect English go read Enciclopedia Brittanica.

28. #27 Leo + Ghostq
Leo, you missed the point, being the zionist you are, you thought i am being arrogant about Ghostq's English, all what i have said was his articualtion is terrible, as much as his logic, so it's useless to delve into discussing serious issues with him, this is voiced by other TB's not only me! and btw, next time mind your own business please....As for you Ghostq, good for you, zionists have nothing to do with the holocaust, zionists are the guys with the best of morals, bla bla bla, are you happy now?

29. Wildmandxb @ 28;
No, I did not miss your point. The moment you mentioned poor English there was no point in reading any further.
Regarding my own business, you are right. However, being sole judge of that only I get to decide what is and what is not my own business.
"all what i have said was his articualtion is terrible, as much as his logic".
If articulation is terrible, then ask for clarification. If logic is terrible, this statement assumes that terrible articulation wasn't the obstacle in your understanding of Ghostq's logic.
So, which is it? Articulation? Logic? Yourself? What?
