He is not a Rabbi. He does not have semicha (Rabbinical ordination). He has never graduated from any yeshiva (Jewish religious seminary). No one in any stream of Judaism recognizes him as a Rabbi. So please stop calling him one. It is a big lie and it harms the Jewish religion. It is slanderous to the Jewish religion and to real Rabbis.

One religious American Jew (not a Rabbi, I might add) was arrested for organ trafficking - he brought donors and people who needed organs together, and took a huge finder's fee from the patients. The donors, in turn, got little to no compensation - it's not quite organ trafficking, but it's still illegal. As for the Rabbis and other members of the New-Jersey Syrian Jewish community who were arrested for money laundering, keep in mind that it was a sting operation. All suspects have since been released to their homes with no further information about the charges against them or the evidence, and the prime (read, only) state witness, Solomon Dwek, who was the instigator of this entire FBI operation to try and give them a bigger case than himself, has now seen the courts throw his plea bargain with the FBI out of consideration in his own trial for fraud, money-laundering, and tax evasion. It was quite possibly the most cynical attempt to twist internal community ties and charity donation drives (Solomon Dwek's main tactic was to convince people that he was helping needy people abroad, but was lacking time to bring the cash over through the proper channels). The FBI used him as a con-artist to snag others in, which will quite actively affect the future court proceedings in this cases, if and when they actually start.

I think you are the one who should stick to facts. Fisrt of all there were several Rabbis arrested in New York, not only one. Second the charges filed against them was illegal traffiking in human organs in addition to MONEY LAUNDERING! A Rabbi, just like a priest or Imam is supposed to be a man of God. He is not supposed to take advantage of the poor and the helpless like so many Rabbis seem to be doing these days. Religion is becoming fast the source of all evil.

you're causing Ynet major problems. When will Ynet have another good chance to besmirch Rabbis, and orthodox Rabbis no less? They don't expect such juicy stories from Rabbi Ovadia Yosef or Rabbi Eliyashiv or Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu shlit"a in the near future.
