Everyone noted quite well that Israel's dubious "victories" over S. Lebanon & Gaza were the result of massive artillery and aerial bombardment trashing the infrastructure of those areas. Unlike the Israelis, the US has the resources to sustain very lengthy operations, as well as the ability to absorb steady battlefield casualties. Israel cannot. The arena has transitioned away from short campaigns of tank & jet battles against bumbling Arab states. Sarah, you & I both know the next head-on conflict will be a matter of missiles, and perhaps chemical and bio weapons as well. You make a point of thanking the next US, goyim serviceman you encounter, from the bottom of your Israeli heart, for the US energy and efforts being currently expended to help prepare a defence of Israeli cities & towns against the new weapons of the next coming war. From America's point of view, goodbye to "Israel", and good riddance to the old man of the sea so long on our national back. We have solid terms of truce from the Islamic world: Get out of the Middle East and their world, break with Israel, and they will have no further quarrel with us; martyrdom operations would be suspended indefinitely. Ideally, we should totally break with and boycott Israel, but that probably is infeasible for various reasons too numerous to list here. But we can downgrade relations with that entity to the level we had during the Eisenhower administration; that should satisfy the Muslim (and mainstream Christian) worlds.

I find it hard to believe that we'll ever have peace here.

There is an age old dispute known as Nature verses Nurture, which of these two predominates in a persons thinking and behavior.
