1. Peace with Syria? Certainly! Peace for Peace. Let's talk!!!

2. Ben-Eliezer is a fool if he still considers Turkey worthy
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (11.15.09)
Like most on the left he still has blinders on. In addition, as Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor, he has an interest in promoting Turkey as an economic partner. To say that Turkey has discredited itself as a mediator would be bad for business.
3. barak and ben eliezer
alexi   (11.15.09)
barak and ben eliezer can do defense but not lead israel nationally.Barak is weak politically adn reluctant. Rockets were fired by hamas en masse because they did not fear barak, likewise eliezer. Hniayeh fears bibi, lieberman, yaalon and peled and that is why rocket fire reduced. Barak failed in his hasty withdrawal from lebanon and failed at camp david. He can do defense but nothing else. Landau or lieberman would be an ideal PM, direct and no more olmert and livni cowardice.
4. The Golan is Israel, what else is there to neogotiate?

5. Do not worry.....
Atheist Turk ,   Germany   (11.15.09)
........Erdogan is very busy at the home front at the moment. :) He has no time to play the hero on the international stage.
6. Erdogan promised military support to Iran
zionist forever   (11.16.09)
In secret talks on October 28 Erdogan & Ahmadinejad signed military cooperation deals, they agreed to share intelligence and in the event of an Israeli attack against Irans nuclear facilities Turkey would provide Iran with air force assistance. Turkey has also been getting very friendly with Assad recently. They canceled anual planned airial war games with Israel forcing the US to also pull out. They were never impartial when Olmert was using Turkey as a mediator just telling Olmert that they thought Assad was right and Israel must give him the Golan. Turkey does not belong in NATO Turkey does not belong in the EU Turkey should not be storing Iranian uranium Turkey should not be sold Israels most advanced weapons. Turkey should certainly not be mediating between Israel & syria. http://www.debka.com/headline.php?hid=6366

But why it is so important who is leading the talks, (turkey or france), why instead not focusing on solving the problem with syria. Yes maybe turkey would look good towards europe if acting as a mediator, if you give him this gift but also maybe thats not the point. Maybe our prime minister really wants peace, maybe he is not a bad guy who smiles in your face and do it backwards, maybe he is honest and maybe you shoud cherich and see him as a real partner, who you can reallytrust. If there is not a secret medicine, which we are not aware, it looks like all of us gonna die sooner or later, which means we will not be able to bring away anything to the other side, so why dont we use the short time of our lifes to live in peace, negotiate with palestinians, negotiate with syria and believe in peace...what about this
