1. Working on Shabbat will achieve nothing.
You can't become richer if you work on Shabbat, especially if they are being cursed.
Secular Jews who do not appreciate Jerusalem's holiness should get out of that city - including the secular mayor.
The demonstrations will continue until they will realize that Jerusalem is not like secular Tel Aviv.

2. BARKAT BACKS A LOSING HORSE
Let Intel move to Haifa. They will encounter less problems / resistance there.A much more easy-going city. There is only one Intel but many many Haredim so Mayor Barkat has shot himself in the foot.Jerusalem is special ,really not the place for Gay carnivals and Sabbath desecration.

3. To 1 ,
So 1500 + people in Jerusalem will loose their job if Intel leaves OUR capital . Our Capital , not the anti Israeli charidim's .
Cursed ? do you still live in the middle ages ? wake up ! it's the 21st century .

4. Recommendation to Intel: MOVE your facility to ANKARA Turkey
1. You will find High Quality workforce as many state agencies and electronics companies already in Ankara
2. Orderly city cheaper than Israel and lower taxes
3. NO protest or hostility to WORKING COMPANIES, you can wor on Saturdays, Fridays or Sundays. Just as you like. Nobody can prevent or protest you.
4. There are so many state incentives which may make your operations profitable
5. Turkey is in EU custom Union and you will export without any custom duties.
6. Muslim countries will be more supportive to you and you may attract muslim capital when you leave Israel for Turkey
there are many more advantages, DO NOT WAIT JUST LEAVE ISRAEL and RUN YOUR OPERATIONS IN ANKARA.

5. mind your own business
as long as Intel's business practices are not draconian, and no one is forced to work on Saturday, there cannot be any objection.
The religious sector needs to learn to mind its own business. You cannot limit other people's freedom because you don't like something.
The tables could just as easily turn.
I'm an atheist. As far as I'm concerned there is no God and it's all nonsense and the world would be better without any religion.
All religion annoys me. Does this give me the justification to demand that people stop practising religion? No. I cannot limit people's choices no matter how right I think I am and no matter how much their actions annoy me. If actions are not damaging or threatening then they're permissible.

6. This man is a bad man,a bad Jew,a bad citizen
He is a bully and should not be the major of Yerushalaim.
Besides ,this man lacks vision. He lacks vision of the whole;he lacks strategic vision;he is a selfish fool.

7. Haredi
Why should t he haredi care? They don't work or serve in the IDF. They are just welfare bums.

8. Why do I say that?
Because there is no price to peace among Jews. With peace and good will among Jews everything else can be achieved.
Even the aspirations of secular Jews about the orthodox population and vice versa could be achieved with a good will in acomodating things .
Jerusalem is not a common city.
But good will and less ego seem to be somethings very dificult to acquire...

11. Demonstration by Orthodox
Orthodox jews are always welcome to believe in what they want to believe in and conduct their lives the way that they feel is proper (to a point), That is what freedom is about. But, demonstrating to demand that others conduct their lives in accordance with their beliefs is unconscionable. That is not what freedom is about. Tolerance in a pleuralistic society is what is necessary. If working on the Sabbath is a sin or whatever, it is not for the believers to enforce punishment. It is for their god to do so. Let their god punish Intel or whatever, but they have no right nor business demanding that others conduct their lives in accordance with their superstitions. They are no better than the radical Muslims demand retractions for cartoons of Mohammed. That is not freedom and it is not what Israel stands for!!!

12. People who keep Shabbat.......
Live in the world and will live forever, unlike those who think money holds this world together. What the hell does this have to do with the middle ages? The subject is desecrating Shabbat in Yisrael not the costumed ones that turned out to protest. The so called charedim are not the only ones that think this is a felony. People who work and pay taxes and don't just sit on their ass and write comments think this is a felony.

Intel's Jerusalem Factory has been working on Shabbat for 24 years now and ALL the Haredim knew this and only started riots because the Mayor is now secular. The haredim only want headlines.
