His inexperience as anything presidential became glaringly obvious very early on when he took office. He has complained many times how hard it was being president. Having a positive influence over 5 billion people is waay different than tyring to control 15,000 living in a small community. This apple certainly was picked way to green from the tree. He will be a one term failed wonder like Carter was, and will probably set the Black Community in America back for at least a decade or more before another Black person gets elected for president again, and that will be the bold move he will probably be remembered for.

Orly Azoulay needs to learn English, or Y-Net needs to get a writer who understands what the words used in an article mean. "Bombastic" means blustering, i.e. full of hot air, and "grandiose" means pretensions of greatness, neither of which are what the world, let alone the Middle East peace process needs right now. I fully agree that Obama must take more affirmative action in relation to the Palestinian/Israeli peace process, whether this is done bombastically or in a simple straightforward manner is really irrelevant to me. The Carrot and Stick approach is a well tried method however Obama must be willing to use the Stick. To date Obama has been treating Israel with kid gloves, it is high time that he uses Stick. If Bibi refuses to stop the illegal building of settlements in the Palestinian WB then Obama should stop financial and technological aid to Israel. Or alternatively he can stop using America's veto power in the UN SC and just abstain from casting a vote. Either of the two options will result in Israeli compliance after all Israel can't afford to go it alone with America. With the Palestinians Obama has much smaller sticks, after all it is not as if America has ever really helped of supported the Palestinians in the past. Nonetheless the Palestinians are still very much reliant on American support and approval for a independent Palestinian state so Obama can use this leverage. To date Obama has been very careful not to dictate the terms of the peace process. I think this is a mistake as neither the Palestinians nor the Israelis seem capable of formulating an end agreement. Obama should dictate a compromise that, while not everyone may like all the conditions/terms, achieves a solid groundwork for lasting peace. I would suggest (in no particular order) the following be dictated to all parties: 1) Israel removes all illegal settlements from the WB. 2) Palestinians and Israelis agree on the 1967 borders (no annexing or land swaps). 3) Freedom of movement between Gaza and the WB. 4) Jerusalem is twin capital city of both Israel and Palestine with total freedom of movement for all people with the city limits. 5) Israel returns the Golan to Syria in return for a peace treaty. 6) All other parcels of land be returned (eg; Shebba to Lebanon). 7) A peace agreement with Hezbollah for the return of all Israeli occupied land belonging to Lebanon (see point 6) and agreement that Israel will not attack or infringe on Lebanese sovereignty again. 8) Israel and the EU pay compensation to all Palestinian refugees and assist in repatriation to the state of Palestine if requested. 9) Both states Israel and Palestine share water resources as well as marine and airspace. Also shared civil authorities where possible eg: state(s) owned utilities. 10) Both Israel and Palestine share a common, bi-national army with mandatory conscription from both populations. 11) Truth and Reconciliation tribunals to address the injustices and atrocities committed by both sides over the last few decades. 12) Release of all prisoners. 13) All Palestinian militant groups (Hamas et al) disband their military wings, decommission all weapons and enter mainstream Palestinian politics. 14) All Arab/Muslim states (including Iran) fully recognize Israel, normalize relations and throw in comprehensive peace treaties to boot. I'm sure I'm leaving out a few points but these would be the bare bones which should be dictated to all parties by Obama. I think most people here will agree that they are fair and amicable.

Now if Abbas motions to the UN for a state unilaterally, israel should cancel the rotten oslo accords, and ship abbas and his gang back to tunisia on boats. next they should offer arabs money to move to Jordan.

It's already been 50- 40 years that a new way of destroying israel is going on. By their own mouths, the OLP and arab states said it. Because of the failure of our leaders and especially oslo and the "2 states recognition", the phase 1 is down : now almost everyone is ok to give them a state is something like the border of 67. So since a few month they have begun the next step : one big state with abolition of jewish. The last step is nothing but annexion of this state by another one like syria or at least a dictature. This plan not new at all, and some of us tried to make it understood by our leaders. The only thing we can do to prevent this is not accepting a "second state", because now they almost have it they want much more as usual, but completely refuse it, with a strong voice. It will be really hard at first, but then the arabs won't be able to reclaim the whole instead of part of it. And with time and G.d help, everything will end fine. But certainly not if we go on bowing down.
