yakov ,   tel aviv   (11.17.09)
This is just fuel for outside media to attack Israel. We are supposed to live by laws.
2. From the mouth of an IDF soldier
carmen ,   NYC   (11.18.09)
"We would wake up in the middle of the night hearing banging from down in the settlement, and it turned out that there were settlers that were knocking down walls into Palestinian shops during curfew, and slowly doing this. We’d send a patrol to stop them, and we’d have to leave, and they’d keep working on this hole in the shop until it was wide enough to walk in, lock the doors from the inside, and take all the merchandise out and move a new—expand the settlements that way. This was slowly happening all the time in Hebron, especially back in 2004, when curfews would last forty days, and shopkeepers wouldn’t—weren’t able to go and fix it up. And this is something we’re seeing today in Jerusalem, in East Jerusalem all the time. Silwan is slowly being taken over by settlements under the guise of archaeological NGOs slowly digging underneath other Palestinian homes and evicting family, one at a time. It’s a gradual process. 3. Live By laws
Sivan ,   Melbourne   (11.18.09)
Yakov, i think we are supposed to live by laws, but some people take the law into their own hands and replace it with what they think is Gods Law

If details of this incident is true ... even though I don't share some of the goals of the christian peace group- as a Christian.. I see as inexcusable the actions of the settlers .. it causes unescessary excuses for hamas and fatah to continue thier violence....hamas and fatah don't need to have real events they can point to.... don't give hamas and fatah unnecessary politcal amunition these settlers need to be prosequeted to the full extent of the law if there is provable evidence.
5. is this ynet or...
yehuda ,   israel   (11.18.09)
arabnet? This reporting is more shoddy than the illegal arab building that ynet refuses to tell you about.
6. Although the report on this situation
Robert Haymond ,   Ashdod, Israel   (11.18.09)
may be both objective and accurate, why didn't Ynet insist on investigating the problem from the perspective of the Jewish people who were condemned for this action? Poor, one-sided, reporting.
7. Two Sides to Every Argument
How to Identify Bias ,   Miami   (11.18.09)
Any biased reporter (like this one) can make one side of a disagreement look bad. Notice that there is not one attempt in the entire article to contact the other side or present their reality. Ynet, kindly insist on higher journalistic standards -- balance and fairness -- in your articles.
8. Disgusting behavior
Avi ,   USA   (11.18.09)
Who do these settlers think they are? They are as bad as any racist anti-semite or fanatic Hamas member. The IDF clearly needs to be much harsher on them in order to make them stop this disgusting hateful behavior.
9. To all the "Avi's":
Robert Haymond ,   Ashdod, Israel   (11.18.09)
Let's drop the hyperbole. Hamas sends missiles and suicide bombers into Israel attacking, damaging, wounding and murdering. Even if the settlers are as guilty as this this (poor) reporter indicates, the actions of the settlers are not comparable to the terrorism tactics of Hamas. Let's try to be thoughtful and balanced here. Residing in Israel for about six months would help.
10. to #8 giggle Hebron isn't a setelment
ghostq   (11.18.09)
I talked to a guy whos 8th generation from Hebron, jews in Hebron existe way before the Muslms came and conquer Israel.
11. "Rabbis" for Human Rights
Ricardo Macher ,   KarneiShomron Israel   (11.18.09)
I cannot open an opinion whether this is true or not since this reporter is highly biased in his info and of course gets exactly the contrary from what he seeks. But I can open an opinion regarding these "Rabbis for Human Rights", leaving alone that they cannot be considered Rabbis by Israeli standards (I don't say that is right or wrong) they are definitively working against the Israeli government and taking sides with our enemies because of their highly educated conscience that makes them feel free to do so, no matter the harm they do to Israel. We don't need this kind of people over here, we do need people willing to fight and defend Israel even if Israel is not perfect, we need patriots, not pseudo intellectuals. We need plain people who love their country and are ready to give their blood to defend it as we all do, not strangers who come here just to criticize!
12. " Weekly olive tree articles"
Philip ,   Afuka <Israel   (11.18.09)
Another article in the style of "olive trees were uprooted ".They appear every week at least once ,about time the reporters learned to report.

Trumpeldor ,   eurabyeh   (11.18.09)
14. Didn't I just read an article here this
Joe ,   Ohio, USA   (11.18.09)
morning about arabs stealing large numbers of livestock to butcher for one of their religious feasts? Let face it, Would there be so much Jewish animosity to the arabs if they hadn't spent everyday of the last 80 years trying to do everything they can to destroy Israel? I won't condone the settlers behaviour but won't condemn it either as long as the arabs try to destroy the state they are citizens of.
