From 2010: No tax on Israeli food sold in Europe     Navit Zomer
1. Turkey SHOULD IMMIDIATELY BLOCK THIS IN EU custom union
EU cannot take such decisions unless approved by Turkey, if that is approved by Turkey, AKP and its ERDOGAN will pay this in elections he planned It is obviously Erdogan plays a double sided game, apparently critisizing Israel but work for Israeli zionist interests YES PM ERDOGAN HOW SUCH A DECISION PASSED IN EU IF TURKEY IS A MEMBER OF CUSTOM UNION? IMMIDEATILY STOP THIS OR PAY THIS TO TURKISH PUBLIC!

3. @nr1: turkey is not part of the eu
its no matter what turkey wants unless turkey is in the eu and on the path turkey is now we wont accept ur full membership way too much religious shit in politics and way too antisemitic and antiwestern
tommy ,   germany   (11.18.09)
4. Tayfun you'r not thinking rationally!
Its nothing to do with Turkey and everything to do with good Israeli products which are appreciated by a sophisticated market. If Turkey's other exports are anything like the rubbishy t-shirts etc. on sale in Israeli shops I can see why Israeli products are preferred.

5. Levy Extra Tax on Israeli product or Turkey must Leave EU
Levy Extra Tax on Israeli product or Turkey must Leave EU Custom Union EU Custom Union is common custom policy against Rest of the world and it is sufficient to be a member of Eu Custom Union to block permissive custom tax exeption to Israel Just contrary, EU should levy extra 25% tax on Isaeli products and pool this extra tax gains to compensate Palestinians and Lebonanese governments. On the other hand, Palestinians and Lebonan should enjoy temproralily tax exeptions to compensate their heavy losses due to Israeli aggression. COMMON EITHER YOU ARE IN AGGRESSOR'S SIDE OR IN OPPRESSED VICTIMS of ISRAEL!
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (11.18.09)
6. #5 If you do that, I just might have to boycott Turkey!
The problem is, there is nothing Turkish that I would have bought anyway. Not out of ideological reasons mind you, but all the products I see really stink in terms of prices and quality.
Etoile ,   Montreal, CAN   (11.18.09)
7. Give it up, Tayfun. Turkey's got no say in this.
Turkey is *not* a member of the European Union, and likely won't ever be - not if it continues on its current path. Indeed, Turkey should be worrying about its own current place in NATO.

8. In the pocket of my supermarket ?
I hope the prices of the Israeli products will go down in my local supermarket. However I suspect the supermarket to keep the same prices and put the money in their own pocket.

9. Tayfun from Turkey

11. #8
you may be right, but this is not israel's fault. it is your supermarket policy to take advantage of you people by not taking advantage of this tax exemption and therefore reducing the proce of israeli goods. i wish your supermarket did so because, these wonderful merchandise is excellent and of top quality. maybe you should talk with your supermarket management and make them aware of this new international trade news regarding the israeli products? good luck!!! israeli

12. Europeans should taste Israel's bottled juices
They will never stop drinking them since they are something REALLY special. THEY ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD. REALLY!
Keren ,   IL-BR   (11.19.09)
13. And also chocolats!

14. Tayfun...
my geri zekali friend... THE AGREEMENT HAS ALREADY BEEN SIGNED. So relax, and best luck next time. Specially when buying "palestinian" and "Lebanonese" goods, I´ve heard they are the bomb!
Tayfun_dustu tavaya ,   basladi oynamaya   (11.19.09)
15. Before Israeli chocolate will be sold to the Belgians
they have to improve their quality . Belgians know how good chocolate tastes . Israelis too can appreciate Belgian chocolate , they buy this more expensive product here .
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (11.19.09)
16. Food tax exemption
I add my voice of protest to that of Tayfun. This move by the EU accords to "Israel" a legitimacy it neither has nor deserves. Free Palestine! ALL of Palestine!
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (11.19.09)
17. I only like the 70% Splendid chocolate, but it's the best!
Less than 70% is for girls!
