Its nothing to do with Turkey and everything to do with good Israeli products which are appreciated by a sophisticated market. If Turkey's other exports are anything like the rubbishy t-shirts etc. on sale in Israeli shops I can see why Israeli products are preferred.

The problem is, there is nothing Turkish that I would have bought anyway. Not out of ideological reasons mind you, but all the products I see really stink in terms of prices and quality.
