It is patently unfair to compare Gilo to the other developments in the West Bank. Gilo, not surrounded by Arab towns (other than bordering Bet Jala) is a full fledged Jewish city which is huge, densely populated and has been built for over 40 years now. It was never a development before Israel built it and will never ever be an Arab city. To say that Gilo will ever be an Arab city is just as ridiculous as a statement that Rammallah can one day be a Jewish city. For Obama and the Americans to harp over Gilo shows a total lack of sophistication. Gilo is not the rest of the West Bank. The Americans are picking a fight they are guaranteed to lose because Gilo will always be Jewish.

In any event, since the Palestinians rejected the two-state offer and lost the war, all the territory of mandate Palestine flows to Israel. Meaning: You blew your chance.
