End West Bank anarchy    Alex Fishman
1. West bank ......
Its all in the last three lines "once the army realises that the political leadership is serious".But this government and those past have all been blantant humbugs.Promising one thing and doing another. So now all this bullshiting is coming home to bite us, its going to take a very long time indeed to start the re-education . We are in dire straits and that if we dont change our ways then its down the drain we go.We will have only ouselves to blame.

2. illegal construction
If in fact the gov't does stop all construction in Israel, be sure that this includes the constuction done without proper zoning or permits throughout Israel by all Arabs.

3. I'm not even entering in discussion
B"H I'm not even entering in discussion with Fishman. Let me just point out for the readers in an attempt to recreate some balance of objectivity that illegal Arab construction is in full swing in the area and attacking only substandard and semi-mobile housing reserved for the Jews her is nothing short of racist. In contrast, the Arabs are allowed to pull up huge stone condos and villas. Partial reporting is just that: partial. I would also like to point out that systematically naming this area "West Bank" is politically bias, in as much as the Jewish name of the area in question is either "Judea and Samaria" or the biblical names of the Hebrew tribes that lived here, like Judah, Benjamin, Efraim, etc. As Jews, we are told by Torah to fully possess these Lands and establish our Jewish, Torah institutions here and thus be a light onto the nations. Because this article fails to take this concept into consideration it can actually be seen and should be seen as outright anti-Jewish.

4. The author has a typical 'ghetto' mentality
or is it a dhimmi mentality. Israeli government is not supposed to implement American visions and policies. Arabs create facts on the land every day, but the author worries that the government is not strict enough in preventing the creation of Jewish facts on the ground -- so not to upset the overlords. Obviously, the author doesn't believe that Israel is an independent country but a small Jewish ghetto trying hard to be useful and obedient so that the masters don't decree the final destruction and permit its existence.

5. Who in hell is Alex Fishman
And why is he writing for an allegedly Zionist website? He is a useful tool of the Palestinians.

7. The settlements will stop..
When we're willing to flatten them with IDF bombs whenever they show up. There should be an open notice that they will be bombed without warning, occupied or not. The crazy settlers cannot be allowed to endanger the nation.

8. We WILL Continue To Grow At More Than 5% Annually
If you are concerned about anarchy, and nobody wants that, then simply allow us to build legally. Right now, housing supply is FAR below demand. Our local councils and regional councils should be allowed to grant building permits just like every other one in Israel, and when the higher-ups try to stop it, that's what causes this mess. It's that simple.

9. keep settlements
keep settlements , palesitninians don't want permanent peace . let them pay hard .

10. PUT AN END TO HYPOCRISY !
From two things one: if you consider East of Jerusalem, Gilo etc as Israeli territory but the rest of Judea and Samaria as occupied territory, than this is pure hypocrisy. If you indeed consider the West-Bank as occupied territory than the same rule counts for East-Jerusalem and its surroundings. Of course leftists can stil not come to terms with the fact that Israeli presence in the West-Bank, the whole of Jerusalem and the Golan Heights is in full accordance with the INTERNATIONAL LAW. The left is in panic to, disclose the resolutions called the "Mandate for Palestine" voted the 24th of July 1922 by the League of Nations. The Mandate offered the Jews a State for in a near future and this on a golden plate. The left at that time rejected the idea of Jewish State, and as wrote in 1917 the Chairman of the World Zionist Organiztation Nahum Sokolov in the preamble of his two-volume "History of Zionism": "The Jewish State was never part of the Zionist Programme". This will have the most dramatic impact for the coming Shoah. And this is the reason that the left can not come forward with the resolution of the League. In fact what was the importance of the League's resolutions called the "Mandate for Palestine"? The Mandate gave the Jews the IRREVOCABLE RIGHT to settle anywhere in the area between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River, including the Golan Heights, a right unaltered in INTERNATIONAL LAW and valid to this day due to Article 80 of the CHARTER of the UNITED NATIONS. An interesting remark: even the United States, who wern't a member of the League of Nations, added their signature on the Mandate's document. Who is going to tell this to President Obama? .

11. Fairness and hatred.
One must beware of those who talk about the greatness of the rule of law even as their hearts are full of hatred when it comes to the Other. Someone who beats up Palestinians and damages their property should sit in jail. But are the settlers as a whole – all 300,000 of them – responsible for that? What about the rule of law concerning the tens of thousands of illegal buildings constructed by Bedouin and Arabs in the Galilee, Negev and East Jerusalem? In order to know more about the rights of settlers : http://xrl.us/bj5ng

12. Nice Try Alex
The League of Nations granted all the land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean, and all of what is now called Jordan to be the homeland for the Jewish people. Britain was placed in charge of this land until such time as this homeland was created. They illegally severed the land east of the Jordan and gave it to the Hashemites. The remainder belongs to the Jewish people. The Arabs didn't claim Yehuda and Shomron in 1947. It was illegally occupied in 1948 by Jordan. No Arab state was created between 1947 and 1967. There is an "occupation." It is being carried out by Arabs. It needs to end. There is no such thing as illegal Jewish construction on Jewish land. Read your Torah, if you know what that is. As for the soldiers, I wonder if Fishman had the same problem with the so-called "refusniks" who would not serve in Yesha in protest of the so-called occupation. When Israelis remember they are Jews, not Israelis, we'll have less of this nonsense like this editorial being published.

Move back to America, as start a war there instead.
(11.19.09)
14. Misdirected article
First it is not West Bank but Judea and Samaria. West Bank is New Jersey to New York city. Second. Illegal construction is rampant by arabs. Has to be destroyed and build jewish houses for jewish israelies. Israel was created by jews and for jews.
Joseph ,   NYC, USA   (11.19.09)
15. Bad farce
The settlers have no rights to build within the West Bank, especially on private property belonging to the Indigenous population. As for East Jerusalem, the Israelis changed the boundaries of what was once Jerusalem to encompass Palestinian neighborhoods to give themselves the so-called 'right' to bring them under Israeli control. As for the old idea of the League of Nations Mandate, nowhere in the mandate were private property rights derogated in favor of the Jews. And nowhere did it mention the idea of a 'Jewish' state. Its deplorable the excuses used by Israel for the outright theft of Palestinian property. If "patriotism is the last refuge of scoundrels"..then it seems that zionism is the last refuge of amoral thieves.

16. Fishman, keep banging your head against the wall or...
Judea and Samaria have belonged to the Jewish people for more than 3,500 years. They will be ours forever. In the forseeable future, Israel will annex Judea and Samaria. Israeli elections are making it increasingly clear the vast majority of Israeli Jews know Judea and Samaria are ours. Judea and Samaria will continue to grow at a rapid rate. So get over it, Fishman. Or continue to bang your head against the wall. Your choice.

17. Mikesailor- My ancestors are from Hebron
I'm indigenous- unlike Arafat the Egyptian. All Jews are indigenous here. Arabs are not.
