PLEASE BUID ANOTHER 900 UNITS :-)

I am beginning to think that the absolute best possible response that Israel could make to this international cacophony of goats and monkeys would be raise the number of new homes from 900 to 1,000. It would be most unwise for the international community to get the idea that they can bully Israel. Israel is a sovereign nation. You do not hear any criticisms of China for what they have done and continue to do in Tibet; you do not hear any criticism of Turkey for its genocide of the Kurdish people;and it would appear that the world has lost interest in the massacre of Christian and Animists in Dharfur by the ruthless Islamic government of Sudan. There are more examples, but this will suffice for now. Israel is not answerable to Washington D.C., nor to Peking, nor to Moscow, nor to the European Union; and most definitely not to Tehran. People are being massacred in any number of countries throughout the world, and all anyone appears to have the time to address is Israel's construction needs in its capital city. Time to take a tougher stance. The world isn't to it. They are accustomed to Israel bowing and scraping and trying to make the rest of the world like us. The only way that the rest of the world would like us is if we were no longer around. So world opinion really means nothing. No one is going to challenge Israel militarily for the sake of a terrorist population. No one is going to sign on to an economic boycott of Israel. So what if a few universities decline to invite Israeli scholars to teach. Their loss; our gain. This nonsense has gone on long enough. Israel has bent backwards quite a bit in an effort to accommodate the Palestinians. The Palestinians know this, and keep ratcheting up the demands, which are not theirs to make in the first place -- keep in mind they ARE a vanquished people in whose interest six wars have been fought. Israel won all six, despite having started none. Time to make the world come to its senses. Time for Israel to just say no. Raising the number of new homes from 900 to 1,000 is precisely the message that needs to be sent.

Despite the increasing voices against Israel, none of these detractors have visited Israel or could find Gilo on the map if they had a gun to their heads. Gilo was never up for discussion nor was it considered a settlement to be halted by any previous agreement. This goes back to the simple fact - settlements were never an issue until the world began to say something and the PA became opportunists by which to "get something for nothing". His words were censored there, his administration raised human rights issues but accepted that they were ignored.... why? because China is a big economy and there is money. One correction: China DID not use the world " condemn " which most countries did. The official Chinese text says " we are seriously concerned about this development...". The point I am trying to convey is this - Yes, there is opposition to Gilo but there are diplomatic ways of saying it. Furthermore, the Chinese text also mentioned that " interference in another's country sovereignty is not acceptable ". In other words, the Chinese government is concerned about this particular Gilo issue but makes it clear that no other country has the right to say what Israel (although not mentioning by name) can or cannot do in its own capital.

Countries like USA, Israel and China, although UN members, have not ratified the treaty. You also stated that " 95% of Palestinian resistance has been non-violent ". You mean 95% violent and 4% extremely violent. That would be more accurate. There have been many chances for Palestinians to have their own state. Unfortunately, all these chances have been spoiled by your corrupt(PA) leadership. If Palestinians and the Arab world would accept Israel as a Jewish State, and if Fatah would denounce their charter which calls for the annihilation of the Jewish race, that would be a small positive step towards peace. This peace will unfortunately not come because Palestinians, terror organizations like Hamas & Hezbollah and radical Islamists are all bent on destroying Israel. Noor, you are correct that Israel's image is on the downswing for a moment. But Palestinians' reputations are not on the upswing either. To Americans, Palestinians will always be seen as suicide bombers and those who used their own beloved childrens' bodies to advance a violent cause. It will take years for Palestinians to return to a stable reputation.

And the only reason there is any talk of a Palestinian state is because of Israe. Take Israel out of the equation and you would be just another compliant Syrian or Jordanian or Egyptian. AND YOU KNOW IT!!
