1. shalit
until one sees him WALK across the border I will believe what I see. Too many things have been written about his release. I feel terrible about what his family is going thru but...............we must set things in proportion.
I hope and pray that he will be released ASAP.

4. Capital Punishment Was the Answer
Israel made 2 mistakes big time after his capture. First and foremost, they should have launched a bombing campaign 24-7 until released..live. Secondly, capital punishment ( eye for an eye) is long in the making. For thugs with blood on their hands, or accomplices to murders..there is but only ans..12.00
hangmans noose. For some reason, Israel is afraid of doing the RIGHT thing.

5. And Elijiah sent his servant out to see if rain was in the
clouds, and his servant came back and said,'Sir, I see three clouds that look like a mans hand'. And the heavens opened and broke the draught of three years, and all of Israel rejoiced. You will be home soon my friend, Very soon.

6. I have a little list ....
"Meanwhile on Thursday, Palestinian sources told Ynet that according to recent indications, the efforts to finalize a swap have seen major progress, and that the deal may be completed by year's end."
Year's end? Just yesterday, these same sources announced that Corporal Shalit would be freed a week from Friday. Was that just another Hamas lie? If yes, why believe them now?

8. Terrorists with blood on their hands should be sentence ...
Terrorists with blood on their hands should be sentence to death.
Israel’s repeated willingness to release terrorists for live and dead hostages makes clear the need to implement the death penalty against terrorist murderers. The criminal code permits the death penalty to be used in cases of treason, murder, crimes against humanity, genocide and crimes against the Jewish people. The problem is not the laws on the books; the problem is the state prosecution’s refusal to use them. Regardless of the nature of their crimes, the State Attorney’s Office refuses to request that judges sentence terrorists to death. More at : http://xrl.us/kj6sj

9. Dummies
For a smart people, we Jews are certainly dumb.
In America, Jews overwhelmingly gave money, support and votes to Obama, who is throwing the Jews overboard and the Jews will vote for him again in 2012.
And in Israel, terrorists continue to be traded in vast numbers for dead or single numbers of kidnapped Israelis.
No wonder we are taken so lightly in America and no wonder the State of Israel could perish to a race that doesn't even care about their own living people.

10. new prisoner list: same as old prisoner list, except
israel's will to accept hamas' demands has been eroded a little bit more. soon, israel will accept hamas' original prisoner list and hamas will prove that israel cannot win a war of wills against terrorists.

11. #7 Would That Be at ANY Price?
Quote"All of Israel wants to see Gilag(sp) Shalit free, the sooner the better."
Does this imply that ANY price is OK as long as Shalit is free?
How many murderers should be swapped for his freedom?
How many families is it deemed OK to have suffer when their mother's; son's; father's; daughter's; etc.. murderers are released?
How much pain to inflict on X number of family members so Shalit's family will no longer suffer?
What is the price "ALL Israel" is willing to pay?
What about the next family who has their soldier captured and held as a POW, like Shalit? Will the price for *this* soldier be the same as the price for Shalit?
It's heartbreaking to imagine the pain the Shalit family is undergoing. Causing their pain to lessen by increasing pain for other families doesn't seem the way to go.

13. I welcome the release of our people... but
The struggle must go on until all our people are released and the prison like conditions that Palestinian people have to endure are consigned to the history books ... Im am also happy for Shalit to returned to his family. He will return an enlightened soul.

14. TALKBACKS NUMBER 4 and 8.
I AGREE TO THAT.
IF INDEED ISRAEL DID CONDUCT THE WILL OF JEHOWAH,
ACCORDING TO HIS WORDS,
THIS SITUATION AND THE LIKE WOULD NOT HAPPEN OR CONTINUE.
I REPEAT -
FREE THE TERRORISTS TO GET SHALIT FREE,
AND THEN USE YOUR METHOD OF TARGETKILLINGS AGAINST THE FREED TERRORISTS.
AND FURTHER -
TERRORISTS WITH BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS SHOULD NEVER BE TAKEN PRISONER,
BUT BE EXECUTED OUTRIGHT,
IF THEY CAPITUALTE DOES NOT MATTER.
ONLY EXEPTION TO THIS IS,
TO LET THEM LIVE LONG ENUFF TO BE TORTURED,
TO GIVE INFORMATIONS,
AND THEN EXECUTED.

15. time warp
here we go again- another list- another delay, another talk, another what?
Does anybody, except the parents really believe there is going to be a happy ending to this kidnapping?
Israel has been waffling, giving the enemies chance after chance to come up with new demands.....
'major progress'- who is coming up with those headlines?
'deal may be complete...' this must been the 20th time the deal has been 'almost' completed.....
come on people.....
put a stop to these news releases until there is something to SHOW...
this is getting absurd.

16. On capital punishment
Sometimes I feel that way, too.
Mostly, I don't. They may be monsters, but I do not want them to drag me down with them and, frankly, I confess: I am not the world's biggest fan of capital punishment.
I do confess to waffling. A great percentage of the time, I think that terrorists deserve the ultimate penalty. The remaining percentage of the time, I do not want them to drag me down with them.
And there can be no denying that were Israel to enact a death penalty statute for terrorists, the hangman would be the busiest person in all of Israel.
Is that who and what Jews are? I hope not. I hate terrorists just as much as anyone; probably more than most. But there is punishment and there is revenge. Two very different things. If Israel were to hang all terrorists, would that make us any better than the Saudis? The Iranians? The Sudanese? Well, you see where I am going here.
Truth be told -- I don't know. I just do not know.
