1. Lieberman is justified first time in his lifeDONOT MEND TIES
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (11.23.09)
I want no relation with Israel Lieberman should be Israeli prime minister!
2. Shame
Conker ,   Israel   (11.23.09)
I'm all for improved relations with Turkey, but we really shouldnt sell military technology to Turkey. It looks good in short term, but Turkey ,without any doubt, will use it against Kurds and in the long run it will haunt Israel. We should distant ourselfs from islamic countries and Turkey becomes such at very fast pace.
3. Ben-Eliezer speaks for himself! Ben-Eliezer does NOT .......
Stern   (11.23.09)
represent the people of Israel!
4. Not over, Tayfun can...
R ,   Israel   (11.23.09)
The crisis with Turkey is not over and Turkey cannot be an honest boker, and Tayfun can stuff it, I want no relation with him. Lieberman is the only one thinking clearly.
5. Unfortunately, the crisis isn't over
Zvi   (11.23.09)
Erdogan and co. continue to make nice with terrorists and issue blood libels against their allies, the Israelis.
6. ISRAEL LOST ITS HONOR AGAIN...
(11.23.09)
7. Translation
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.23.09)
Turkey did a quick assessment and discovered, much to its chagrin, that the Arab and Islamic world could not possibly provide Turkey with what it wants. Of course, fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. Israel isn't fooled. Not by a long shot. Turkey shall just have to continue its rapid descent into primitivity. Enjoy the ride.
8. Turkey pi**es on Israel, Ben-Eliezer says "It's just rain"
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (11.23.09)
"Crisis? What crisis?" says Ben-Eliezer. Turkey has apparently done nothing in order to regain its status with Israel. No apologies; no gestures of any kind to undo the damage. Nor has Turkey disavowed it's ever closer ties and strategic relationship with Iran. And Israel, which apparently has no self-respect, seems fine with that?
9. Better ties? Then what?, When?
Jojo ,   Prt. Wash NY   (11.23.09)
Good, bad, indifferent --- America sells weapons to everybody, so they can kill each other and Americans as well. Russia does the same and so is France, the UK, the Swiss, etc.. Israel plays the same game.It sold armament to Iran and the ayatollahs took it over; to Georgia, and Russia got it ; to Lebanon, and Hizbullah is using it ; to S. America, and thugs are using it. Round and round it goes....! So why should it be different with Turkey? Time will tell------Friends today, foe tomorrow?
10.  THE TURKS.
Jojo ,   PRT Wash NY   (11.23.09)
How about asking our Kurdish friends to send us films, videos, regarding Ankara's behavior towards them, i.e.,attacks, bombing,, strafing, etc. so we can show them on our TV screens as a real life documentary, uncut, and not fabricated " a la Turque "
11. Negotiate WHAT? Israel owns the Golan. Maybe talk about the
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (11.23.09)
price of specialty fruit imported from Syria?
12. damage done.....please
Lior ,   Israel   (11.23.09)
boycott Turkey!! Ben-Eliezer is a BS'er with a memory which on any given day vanishes! As for Erdogan, he is no statesman but a feeder of rabid dogs. One can not slander Israel in the most salacious terms and expect "forgive and forget." While in the mean time Turkey does everything in their power to fan the fires of Islamic hate. We will not forgive!! We should not forget!!
13. Lieberman was subdued humiliating way-Will he Resign?
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (11.23.09)
Obviously Israeli Cabinet came to Turkey to beg pardon and suck...to beg Turkey to act as mediator It is clear for all, Lieberman was humiliated very badly by Prime Minister Netenyahu, if Lieberman has real dignity he must immediately resign from FM
14. Ben Eliezer don't represent me.
Israeli taxpayer   (11.23.09)
15. SarahB
Alex ,   Stockholm-Sweden   (11.23.09)
Oops. I guess you have it all wrong honey. The turk's have absolutely no need to have relationship with a tiny state known as israel. That being said, israel is the one in need of turkey's strategic location in the region, friendship in which israel will benefit much more and etc. Bigotry has it's limits sarah, and you have just crossed the red lines(and just cause you sold them a few drones does not mean they should forget who they are). What's next?the world come's begging israel??
16. Corrupt hack
Roger ,   Tel Aviv   (11.23.09)
One can only imagine what personal business interests this hack has with Turkey- utter disgrace
17. #1 i find it funny that you think you matter.
(11.23.09)
18. #15-You bet ya
Eyal ,   USA   (11.23.09)
The world will come to tiny Israel for a lot, such as medicine, agriculture, scientists, doctors, lawyers and let's not forget that Israel has 13% of it's corporation trading in Nazdaq. you were saying? Little Israel is not so little anymore is she. Now, why don't you tell me what Turkey has brought to the world?
19. #15 - To Alex
Eyal ,   USA   (11.23.09)
Or should I say what Sweden brought to the world?
20. Why, what, how?
Curious ,   EG   (11.23.09)
Why did the crisis end? And why did it start to begin with? What happened exactly? And what is the role of the Israeli Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Labor in all this (as opposed to Foreign Ministry or the Prime Minister)? And what did Turkey want at the start of the crisis and what exactly did they get?
21. THE TURKEYS HAVE NEVER SOLVED ANYTHING IN MIDDLE WASTE-LAND
Genuine Tosefta ,   Tveria   (11.24.09)
LIKE TYPHOON BABOUN THEY ARE A SOURCE OF INSTABILITY, CREATE PROBLEMS AND THEN CLAIM TO MEDIATE EXAMPLES: CYPRUS OCCUPATION, ROBBING SYRIA OF WATER AND HATAY/ISKANDUR REGION (3 TIMES THE SIZE OF GOLAN HEIGHTS), DENYING KURDISH INDEPENDENCE, KILLING 30,000 INNOCENT CIVILIANS AND MULTIPLE ILLEGAL DEADLY INCURSIONS INTO IRAQ (INTERNATIONAL WAR CRIME), CONVERTING THE MOST IMPORTANT HOLY PLACES TO ORTHODOX CHRISTIANITY INTO ISLAMIC MOSQUES WHERE THEY WHORESHIP WITH THE BUTT UP TOWARD THEIR MOON GODDESS, REFUSING TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ARMENIAN HOLOCAUST THEY PERPETRATED
22. Bunnie, The Golan Heights is illegally occupied...
BBSNews ,   Charlotte, NC   (11.24.09)
This is really really old news. Moshe Dayan admitted that Israel stole it because Israeli farmers coveted it. Israel's "annexation" of the Golan Heights was declared illegal almost three decades ago, see UNSCR 497 for verification of this fact. "...the Israeli decision to impose its laws, jurisdiction and administration in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights is null and void and without international legal effect". The stolen land and resources must go back to the rightful owner who was ripped off, Syria.
23. I realize by all means trade with Turkey RIGHT ???
M. S. ,   mpls america   (11.24.09)
I realize i like money as much as the next guy person whatever and so but un like so many I do no not change in to a Jekyl and so Hyde split personality who trade double cross trade double cross trade double cross I realize trust is a word trust you may trust me but i do no not trust you you are no not trustable trade today atack tomorow may Israel ever trust a Arab how alas i look for a way but all my own offers are refused and so rejected as too simple and so now we have November 2009 soon 2010 these days may decide things for the future RIGHT ??? Thank You... M. S.
24.  Better to be friendly together
salim ,   US   (11.24.09)
than enemies. Turky has history opposing Iran and Turks are subtle diplomats. Both nations share some interests .
25. Israel's ties with Turkey more important than you realize
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (11.24.09)
Turkey gets much of its tech from US and EU but cheaper and specialized tech from Israel. Turkey is a member of NATO and builds it own F-16s which it has 240 of, it will be building F-35s soon. Turkey also gain from is ties with Israel with intel on terrorist and Muslim countries, along with some tech.
26. U cant fool me
Uri Mori   (11.24.09)
NOT As long as Turkish PM is a radical Muslim -
27. Israel to Turkey
Jewish Refugee ,   North Bank   (11.24.09)
When Syria was hostile to Turkey due to the land claims of Syrians the only country that protected Syria from the south was Israel. Furthermore, Turkey's main problem always was and is will be Russia that craves for Turkish strategic ports and Turkey needs NATO's support to hold counter Russia. But the only way Turkey will have NATO support (being a member) is by having a pro-Western way. But snubbing Israel it sends a very clear message that Turkey is going to back to what Atta Turk warned Turkey not return to. Therefore, Turkey needs Israel more than Israel needs Turkey not because Israel provides weaponry and intelligence to Turkey but because Turkey needs NATO as much as Russia wants the Turkish ports. If Armenian Genocide is embraced by the World Powers and than if Kurds create their own country and then if Syria reclaims its land you might see Turkey in a lot of problem. So be careful!
28. To: No. 15
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.24.09)
Turkey's not much of a friend, in light of Erdogan's relentless criticism, the attempt (which backfired) to exclude Israel from air exercises (which caused the United States to withdraw immediately as well) and the fake and disgusting television show purporting to dramatize Operation Cast Lead but which was no more based in reality than was Sweden's claim of neutrality during World War II .... oh, with friends like that, Israel probably doesn't need an enemy. Turkey was hoping to derive a large cash benefit from Israel's need for natural gas .... which became moot with the discovery of the second largest natural gas field EVER just off the coast of Haifa. I assure you that Israel does not sell any military hardware to anyone unless it has developed something far better. Now that North Sea oil is rapidly running out and given Europe's energy needs, Israel's newly discovered five trillion cubic foot natural gas field is going to start looking better and better to Europe. Russia is way too expensive and unreliable a source. What goes around, comes around, dear, and Europe is about to get its comeuppance for caving in so readily to Palestinian terrorism and ridiculous Arab demands. And how is Sweden coping with its large and unruly and criminal Moslem and Arab population? From what I hear, not very well at all. Seems they have no wish to become good Swedes. Oh well. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of scoundrels and bigots, now, could it?

30. Turkish Peacemaking
Adam Neira ,   Melbourne, Australia   (11.24.09)
Kudos to the Turkish authorities who chose this course of action, and the Israeli people who facilitated this. There is no reason at all why the people of Turkey and those of the State of Israel cannot be friends. The Turkish Government has also recently raised genuine peace initiatives in regards to the Kurdish situation. Alexander Downer the previous Howard Government Foreign Minister is also in Cyprus assisting with Turkish and Greek negotiations. The Turkish government seems to be on the right path regarding peacemaking.
