Iranians must be ashamed to have a leader like Ahmi... the same way Russians found Eltsin's behaviour a total embarassment with his drunken antics.. Ahmi doesn't drink vodka I guess.. but he must be smoking something.. Lebanese stuff I guess in exchange for some weapons...

"The age of military attacks is over, now we've reached the time for dialogue and understanding. Weapons and threats are a thing of the past," the Iranian told a joint press conference with President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, closing his one-day visit.
HOW ABOUT YOUR PROMISE TO WIPE ISRAEL FROM THE MAP THEN ???.
WILL YOU BE TRUE TO YOUR WORDS AND DO THAT WITHOUT A MILITARY ATTACK ???.
SEMINGLY YOUR ARE A LIAR IN WHATEVER WAY ONE MIGHT SE THIS MATTER.

Time now to kiss and make up... perceived enemies need to talk now.. the world is all warred out... Enjoy it while we can.

So, now, on top of being totally insane, he's a mindreader, as well?
Scary!!!
I hope everyone realizes he's just using taqqiya, that is, he lies to protect Islam, tells the West what they want to hear, because as long as there's an infidel left on this planet, war won't be "a thing of the past"!!!

Iran: Military drill intended to deter from possible attack
Published: 11.24.09, 11:10 / Israel News
Iranian Foreign ministry spokesman said that the military drill held in the country is aimed at deterring from a possible attack.
The spokesman said that Tehran would not allow other countries to mistakenly think they could attack the Islamic Republic.

11. WEAPONS AND THREATS ARE A THING OF THE PAST
If weapons are a thing of the past why is Iran spending so much on its military, why does he send weapons to terrorists to use against Israel? There is also the little matter that Iran is trying to develop a nuke and thats the cause of all this trouble.
If threats are a thing of the past why does Ahmadinejad threaten to wipe Israel off the map, why does he threaten to fire rockets at Tel Aviv.
Anybody else think this sounds just a tiny bit hypocritical?
The reason he even makes these claims about the US & Israel not having the courage to attack is because since coming to power Obama has turned America into less than a paper tiger.
Not only does he appease rouge muslim states but he likes talking with muslim terrorists reminding them that America is on their side now not Israels.
After the Fort Hood masscre in his speech about how terrible Obama made sure to defend islam condemns this sort of thing.
Make sure the man doesn't get looked on as a muslim terrorist just a US soldier who went crazy.
The only country that Obama does get tough with is Israel and he is holding us back.
I am sure that Israel would by now be seriously considering attacking Iran but because of Obama we have to just come out with the line of we are making plans but we want to give diplomacy a chance.
Obama needs to learn that there is a fine line between trying to make peace with your enemies and appeasing them so they take advantage and so far all he has done is appease them so nobody is scared of big bad America anymore.
They are the superpower that has no desire to be one.

13. Ahmadinejad: US, Israel lack 'courage' to attack
Just like in the days of King hezekiah. Sanecharib was boasting, he boasted so much until he began to boast against the Lord. Between prophet isaiah and king Hezekiah, they petitioned the God of Heaven, who rules over the affairs of men. IN ONE SINGLE NIGHT, THE LORD SENT JUST ONE ANGEL AND HE DESTROYED 185,000 SOLDIERS OF SANECHARIB'S ARMY. The Lord will do it again. Psalm 2 and Psalm 83 are still in the Bible forever settled in heaven according to Psalm 119. Israel look up according to Psalm 121

16. Ahmedinejad's threat
It is good that this scoundrel thinks he can deter the world from obliterating his weapons of mass destruction facilities. Then, one day he sees that he he is not strong afterall. If foreigners and Iranians have some brain, they better move out from the cities and leave to safer places. Mercy seems to give them time to do that. When Judgment comes it will be like a ton of bricks.

17. #11, the US a paper tiger?
Now you just sound dumb. The US is in Iraq, Afgan, Pakistan, and you better believe operating in Iran, not to mention, the only nation to take real action against Somali pirates(with more on the way), the US is far from a paper tiger, US politics might be a mess, but the US armed forces are the greatest military the world has ever known, and could easily destroy Iran, we will see what transpires. It's our military that can only defend and not project. Any one who knows anything about these matters knows that Navies decide wars, the US and Uk are the two strongest navies in the world. Israel needs to develop a strong Navy. Without carriers and Marines, Israels options are limited to defensive actions against proxies, and very limited air force ops.

18. To: Brian at No. 17
Brian, I'm afraid that you are not correct with respect to the issue of Somali priates. The French are the ones doing the lion's share of protecting commercial cargo tonnage in the region.
The Fifth Fleet is pretty much fully deployed in the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea, and the Sixth Fleet, except for occasional forward reconnaissance, remains at anchorage in Naples and Gaeta. The Sixth Fleet is assigned to protect NATO's interests in Southern Europe, in any event.
The United States is actually seriously over-extended. National Guard units are 60% deployed, and because of the belligerent rhetoric emanating from Pyongyang, the United States has had to increase the number of troops deployed in South Korea.
Marines are all well and good, but at the moment, most of them are deployed with the 6th Fleet off Italy and with the 7th Fleet in the Sea of Japan. Besides which, the Marines did not acquit themselves terribly well against Somalia -- basically, Brian, a handful of barefoot warlords using vintage World War II weapons went up against the full faith and credit of the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps .... and won. The United States people don't have the stomach for long, drawn-out wars, and there is no draft in the United States, so quantity and quality of the armed forces remains a concern. The United States has lost ground against the Taliban, who are essentially in control in Waziristan, and are expanding into the less tribal areas of Pakistan, as well. Tha Afghanis have thanked us by allowing the Taliban to take control along the border with Pakistan and by running a vigorous opium and heroin trade targeting the United States,. The Iraqis have thanked us by targeting U.S. military patrols and engaging in Shi'ite/Sunni violence and Arab/Kurd violence and undermining United States attempts to establish some sort of effective and operational local government. The United States maintains deployments in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, to protect against Iranian attempts to destabilize the Kingdom and the Persian Gulf states.
The last time the UK deployed its Navy was in the Falklands War and, frankly, they lost a lot of vessels. I would not count on the UK for any meaningful involvement anywhere.
Finally, Brian, I would remind you that it is not the quantity of soldiers in the fight, but rather the quality of fight in the soldier that makes all the difference.

19. Rio's was just one out of many rallies against Ahmadinejad!!
I cannot understand why Ynet fails to mention, again and again, that there were at least 7 or 8 other rallies against Ahmadinejad's visit, in other Brazilian cities and besides Rio. The main one was here, in São Paulo; it happened 10 days ago, Sunday 15th; I was there, with about 1,500 people (I repeat, about 1,500 people), including jews, gay activists, negro activists, Bahais, Christians and others. Other similar rallies took place last May, before a the cancellation of his visit, scheduled to happen that month. It shoulde be remarked that Brazilians have made perfectly clear, time and time again, that the vast majority of us, individuals and organizations (human rigths, Bar, negro groups, gay groups, jewish,m bahais etc etc) did not want this disgusting dictator here in our country. President Lula's narrow minded, naive and misdirected foreign policy cannot be taken as the expression of this peace loving, democratic nation. Ynet should make an effort to report accurately rallies like those, otherwise its readers may think that only that one, isolated rally took place. We ceased to be a backwater corner of the world long ago, Ynet readers have the right to know what happens here in its entirety, mainly when it has to do with the Middle East and Israel. We are about 80,000 to 100,000 Brazilian Jews, very organized and enthusiastic supporters of the State of Israel. Israeli, American and European Jews must be given the information that there are vibrant, meaningful and strong communities outside the US and Europe and that we do our best to promote Israel's position among gentile Brazilians and government officials.

Obama didnt go into Iraq, Afghanistan or Pakistan Bush did and now he wants out but at the same time you cant just say every single soldier in all these countries will be home by a certain date.
America can have the most powerful weapons and the best trained soldiers but unless your willing to use them then they are useless.
The US has the muscle but Obama doesn't want to use it under any circumstances short of Iran attacking America.
That is why I say America is a paper tiger not because they don't have the ability to fight and win but because there is no desire to at the top.
Iran and the entire muslim world has seen it,
The Europeans have seen it which is why they love him so much
Everybody has seen it and is taking advantage.
I think Israel is starting to see the advantage of a strong navy but so far at least its always the army & airforce that ever get much credit and they certainly get a large part of the navies share of the budget.
Thanks to doing deals to try get bargin basement prices the navy now has 5 Dolphin submarines and would like a sixth if possible.
They are operating in the Meddeteranian now with NATO but probably this is about getting used to that part of the region and they plan to operate reguarly alone far from Israels border so threats can be intercepted before they get close enough to Israel to do damage.
I imagine they will try and find countries in the area willing to let Israel set up a naval base to rapair and fuel ships and subs.
