When cantor Reiss came to Munich he brought many people, including young people, to the Synagogue to hear his wonderful and exceptional voice. I remember his voice vividly from my youth. He contibuted to Jewish togetherness and thus fought against assimilation.
I remember him with great affection and your senseless accusations are simply not in place.
And yes, many of us are in Isarel now. So you need not worry, Jason!!

I remember as a youngster in N.London UK, a Chazan Rosenberg with the sweetest voice, and a lovely person too. I remember also meeting an amazing Rav Grunewald many years later in Munich. What a special man. Israel wasn't part of my life then, so shoot me too, Jason.
