I felt shocked on hearing this news. While equally shocking was the Kidney transplant issue few weeks ago. I guess these issues needs to be discussed in ISRAELI Parliament (Knessett) more thoroughly rather than blaming people or the Clinicians. May be these doctors are just innocent as projected; However in every possible likelihood these issues might be of real concern in other 'cases'. From what I heard from Childless women there in ISRAEL, the "In Vitro" Clinics charge hefty sum in ISRAEL while its dirt cheap with equally good or better medicare facilities elsewhere in EUROPE & Abroad. If Government & concerned health officials dont look into these issues more closely and have a comprehensive layout , providing affordable reduced costs and legalize treatment/procurement as well distribution issues- In all likelihood the Govenment might face bigger problems in future. Like the not so legal "Abortion; clinicians to the money driven 'Quacks & rogue Scientists' - make sure they have no room in transplantation, 'Invitro fertilization, Stem Cell transplantation issues. When the government takes a stance & make issues 'transparent ' and involve public sentiment- these issues wouldn't crop up as a major diaster in future. Let the issues be discussed in public over the mass media and let the Knesset pass a bill to oversee any catastrophic events in near & far future. Let this 'small' issue be a Wake up call !
