I do hope it will be more than the punishment that Palestinian children receive for merely throwing stones at their oppressive occupiers. In other societies, these children would be hailed as heroes, and needless to say what the occupier would be rightfully considered. History speaks for itself, however, when it concerns Israel, as the oppressed becomes the oppressor's most unfortunate victims and is considered the perpetrator. This soldier did what he did because he knew he could get away with it. Well, let's see how the "justice" system works with this particular crime. If one picture is worth a thousand words, then surely this video is worth much more.

What about assault? Is that not what this was? And clearly, an aggravating circumstance is the fact that the assaulter was a person of authority AND they already had the victim pacified and in custody. Is the result of the shooting important, or the fact that it occurred at all? If the man were slightly hurt, not hurt at all or badly hurt the fact remains the same - a man blindfolded, handcuffed and held by the arm was shot. That is wrong, that is illegal and that is not behaviour acceptable to IDF standards.

Calling the shooting of a handcuffed and blindfolded man in your custody an accident is misleading. It is not an accident if you do it intentionally, and the intentionality of this shooting is beyond questioning.
