1. peace for peace
Barak and ben eliezer are the last people to make national policy especially in regards to concessions. They can talk idf and that's it. So reinstating turkey is a bad move and a humiating one by ben eliezer. turkey will not cut off israel because army officers are sick of arabs and islam and want to deal with israel b) erdogan wants a modern economy and you cannot have it by training with the dirtbags in iran and syria.
Golan is originally israeli, won in fair war by israel, and is earned in return for 19 years of shelling. Syria should want peace and trade with us and assurances that we won't blow up their country. Olmert and barak's moves for peace are eliminated and never represented israel. Even rabin was going to can the whole oslo before he was shot.No golan return as it really belongs now to israel. And goldstone and chinkin can go to tutu hell.

2. Yoel Ben Nunn is a nut who wants to give up the Jewish Golan
When you read his article, he says we should go back to the internationally recognized) border between us.
If Israel listened to this fool, Eichmann would still be in Argentina.
The U.N condemmed Israel for arresting Eichmann saying it was against International law.
The U.N said the same thing with the Entebee rescue and the bombing of Iraq's nuclear facility.
The Golan Has Been Jewish for Centuries These rotten Arab colonialists have stolen lands from Kurds, Berbers, Copts, Babylonians, Chaldeans and they want to steal Jewish lands as well. The Golan was part of ancient and modern Israel for centuries, while it was under Syrian occupation for a mere 21 years!! The archaeology of the Golan is proof that the Golan is Jewish. I personally helped dig up a Talmudic era synagogue in Katzrin which is now has a visitor centre. The only Arab land is (Saudi) Arabia. The Arabs can go back there!!

3. You should be Israeli Prime Minister in near future
Otherwise they will give Syrian land back to Syria, Golan and Shebaa farms,
and still get kicked by Sryria as Syria cannot give up supporting anything and everything against Israel.
Yes you should be Israeli Prime Minister and Lieberman must be President of Israel
You will both give what I wait for long about Israel. A shortcut you will be.

4. Direct negotiations?
Why? About what? and what is in it for President Assad and Syria, except maybe to regain the Jawlan (Golan), which is rightfully Syrian land with little or no bloodshed (this,would be the ideal situation). But Syria will get that territory back anyhow during the next Middle East war, perhaps with Iranian help, that will put the zionist entity out of the picture. The only shortcoming is that much blood inevitably will be shed.

5. Occupation is an act of war
Peace for peace sounds good, but Israel will have to end it's occupations to be seen as offering peace. When Israelis or Zionist supporters say: "peace for peace" what they really mean is peace for appeasement. The "land for peace" equation requires that Israel end it's occupation of that land. To have a "peace for peace" exchange, Israel needs to refrain from engaging in acts of war, such as occupation. Land for peace is peace for peace. But just like Germany was appeased after annexing Austria, Israel wants the world to simply look away while they annex every bit of land they can get. It's not going to happen.

6. graczek
We have drug to cure your delusions, in spite of their bigoted genocidal intentions. In reality, if Syria were to take on Israel, with or without the Islamonazi criminals in Tehran, and Lebanon, all three would end up flat, black, lifeless and glowing in the dark for the next 10,000 years. Tell your heros to start kissing their asses goodbye.

7. What?! Demand respect from the other side?
Obviously Israel should forego all self-respect and bow down to the US, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt. After all, the leaders of Israel feel like little wimps.
And, how could Netanyahu speak in English at the UN? As a representative of Israel, he should have spoken in Hebrew! Can you imagine the French President speaking in English at the UN? Even if he knew English perfectly, the President of France would be a proud Frenchman and would speak in his nations language: French.

8. #5, James Hovland, who is occupying what?
Judea and Samaria are rightfully part of Israel. There is no occupation. Even under UN 242 this is true. There is certainly no acknowledgement of a Palestinian arab or any land associated with them other than Jordan Palestine. As for Golan, it was part of the original Mandate Palestine which was to be part of Israel. What makes it more part of Syria, a made up country not much older than the re-creation of Israel?
Will you ask the Arabs to end their occupation of Jerusalem? It was Jewish until Jordan palestine kicked out 100% of the majority Jewish population.
If the Arabs want peace, they have to acknowledge historical facts. This isnt a one sided thing. In fact, Israel should be going after the Arab states for stealing more land from the Jewish refugees than the size of current Israel. Will the Arabs compensate the land they stole from Jewish refugees acknowledged by the UN? Will you.
Peace for peace. Israel regained Judea and Samaria and Golan, just like France regained Alsace Lourraine. Who are the real occupiers?

9. The rule of the Assads is not aimed at improving peace.
The terrorist state of Syria had troublesome relations with the international community which still blames it for harboring terror organizations and interfering in Lebanon’s eternal affairs, while being strongly influenced by Iran. The Assad family has established a hereditary dynasty shored up by repression within, and confrontation and terror abroad. The rule of the Assads is not aimed at improving the lot of their people or forwarding a particular ideology. They changed ideology from secular Arabism to a seemingly impossible confection of pan-Arabism and Islamist extremism as explained at : http://xrl.us/bjcsd

10. There is no occupation
I don't know what occupation you are referring to. Israel has been ours (the Jews) land from the time we conquered it in the time of yehoshua. If you say that when we conquered it then it was an occupation then what did the colonies do in America to the Indians. Secondly what the heck is the US doing in Iraq and Afghanistan after all you live in the US. The same way America is protecting the world from Muslim Fundamentalists so too are the Israelis at this point in time. You must have forgotten 9/11 and all the suicide bombings is Israel during the Intifada. Secondly NEVER compare Germany to Israel. Israel is never on the offence as ALL the ARABS in the world seek its DESTRUCTION. How could you even dare compare the Nazis yimach shem vzichram after killing over 11 million people including 6 million Jews…..

11. Talks only work when there is pressure to find a solution
Israel is willing to give half of Golan for a full peace. To put it simply the only way Israel will give up all of Golan is by force.

14. The Golan Heights is illegally occupied, see UNSCR 497...
...it is a short, easy-to-understand Security Council resolution that spells out the truth:
Reaffirming that the acquisition of territory by force is inadmissible, in accordance with the United Nations Charter, the principles of international law, and relevant Security Council resolutions,
1. Decides that the Israeli decision to impose its laws, jurisdiction and administration in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights is null and void and without international legal effect;
2. Demands that Israel, the occupying Power, should rescind forthwith its decision;
3. Determines that all the provisions of the Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 12 August 1949 continue to apply to the Syrian territory occupied by Israel since June 1967;
