Generally, dialogue is preferable- but not once such a dangerous, discriminatory, and anti-democratic move has been made.
It's just like Oslo, where Rabin had to bribe MKs outright to pass the deadly and disasterous Oslo Accords.
Like Sharon, who campaigned on a platform against withdrawals and then not only adopted the platform of Labor, which was rejected at the polls, but also went against the overwhelming majority of his own Likud party (which he had vowed to respect) and ethnically cleansed thousands of Jews.
Dialogue assumes that the sides operate in good faith for the benefit of all.
That's not the case here either.
