Barak to head team on construction freeze    Roni Sofer
1. This is a career killer for some. I would say thanks but no
thanks. Let someone else get tarred with settlement issues.

2. :: How touching!
It is truly touching the way that the Israeli Gov treats these illegal settlers. It can’t be easy on the illegal settlers coming to terms with such inconvenient realities like International and Israeli law. After decades of illegal building and brutal attacks upon Palestinians and their property/farmlands it is going to be hard for the illegal settlers, like all violent religious fanatics, to change their ways. Maybe America should try the same kid-glove tactics in Afghanistan and politely ask the Taliban to refrain from their brutal and violent ways and, if it is not to inconvenient, abide by international and local laws. I’m sure that the Taliban, like the illegal Israeli settlers, will comply with such an inspirational initiative.

3. I do not understand Benny Begin
I have always really admired him and his late father Menachem Begin. Why is getting involved in this? Has Bibi been promised something by Obama such as a green light to attack Iran? I just don't get it.

4. To Judah: A Freeze vs 30B in Weapons
To Judah(Golan): let me try to clarify some things for you. Hear John Kerry's criticism of Iran's nuke program, coupled with concerns over Goldstone report. He heads an important foreign relations committee. He, like Obama, is playing the middle..supporting Israel, but not wanting to alienate the Arab world (and Muslims). He beleves Obama's Cairo trip was effective and right. ( Most Arab and Muslim countries are dictatorships). The Muslims have extorted trilions in oil profitssince they nationalized the oil fields. We have extensive trade with them. Kerry knows that. Bibi is pragmatic..he is caught, between obstructing Obama administration ( Rahm and Axelrod), and appearing the enemy of peace or the "freeze". The settler protestors are being narrow minded, w/o US support, where would they be now? But Bibi will have to stick to his red lines and demand negotiations soon. Israel's should not cut their noses so to speak.

5. The Settlement Freeze is a Diversion
My fellow Jews and Arab supporters, this is not about the "freeze" or settlements, and has never been, it's about Jewish survival. Everything the Arab world has done to this day, has been for one purpose..to make Palestine Judenrein. Thousands of fatwas to kill all of world's Jews have been issued as we know. Our civilization is at war with Islamic-fascism..( read Afghan, Iran, Pakistan, Iraq, etc.). 30,000 more troops to Afghan, why? Hamas/Hez/Iran/Syria are Israel's axis of evil. They've replaced Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, and Libyra temporarily. This is the truth. Israel should have destroyed Hamas/Hez when it had the chance. Now it is paying..Kuntar goes free and Barghouti plays politics and MAY GO FREE FOR SHALIT. To Israel: play for keeps, this is war.

6. #2 How touching!
How touching Not! ,I am sure these Jewish settlers are hardly comparable to the terrorists TALIBAN who have been killing dozens daily in Pakistan. Yours is an inverse comment.Change places,this bus has reached the END OF THE ROAD FOR YOU. So,off you get. Unless you change your lying rhetoric.You have no credibilty or understanding. There are apples and oranges.Your confusion is blinding you with its great fault and utter stupidity with an incomprehensible dialogue comparing--- THE TWO. No Jew is illegal in Israel ,take your head out of the SAND,it is blocking your brain cells.

7. Judah --Golan Hights,ISRAEL .Understanding our politicians
Apart from your admiration of Menachem Begin that most of us lauded,this son of his seems has not inherited his father's wisdom. Gosh he even looks older than his father at his age. We can try to blame BB for all the woes,but that does not mean the likes of Barak,and now young Begin trying to jump on the same bandwagon for some unknown reason for us to ponder. All in all,I am hating what is happening with the lot of them.And I don't get it either. You can see the scarsity of posters who most probably have had enough of it.?

8. I dont like Barak
After Peretz this fagot as defense minister. Sold his soul, said he didnt want to sit in a government along with Lieberman(who I prefer by far to B.). Where are the Avoda-commitees to finally oust him? A great former soldier, now a little clown.

9. Barak's Role
should be to prepare the nation against Iran nuke threat, to defend and protect the nation against external aggressors. He should not be involved in domestic matter that is only distracting his attention against the larger more dangerous threats from external forces.
