1. Go ahead - can you also boycott BUILDING them to?
William ,   Israel   (12.08.09)
I am referring to the article a couple months back where "palestinians" interviewed were actually very happy for the settlement building because of the higher income and better environment they receive from working there. Same too with companies that were boycotted because they were in the West Bank. They moved operations just inside the Green Line and continued....except for one thing....hundreds of "palestinians" lost their jobs. So, boycott Israeli products if you must Abbas....your income comes from the EU and is raised with each stupid mistake you make. I wonder how the average "palestinian" feels when they're not being threatened by Fatah or Hamas and can speak freely.
2. Let Pals eat "cakes"
Army ,   US   (12.08.09)
3. Boycott Palestinian produce and don't give them jobs!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (12.08.09)
The Settlers should fire all the Palestinian builders who build their "illegal" settlements! Palestinians MUST NOT be allowed to work in Israel and their produce must be barred from our stores and that includes Humus!
4. 2 can play the same game
Moish ,   Jerusalem   (12.08.09)
We can: Stop hiring Arab workers and stop buying Arab fruits and vegetables/ Many years ago I bought a very nice warm scarf made in China when I was in Canada. When I crossed the border to the USA it was confiscated because the US was boycotting China
5. This is a welcome move:
Robert Haymond ,   Ashdod, Israel   (12.08.09)
First of all, if Palestinian Arabs are going to establish their own state, then they must develop their own economy. Growing and producing their own goods is an organic means of developing independence and, what's more, is non-violent. I applaud this move. In addition, and by the same token, those yishuvs in Samaria and Judea where building and reparations are taking place should hire only Jews, not Arabs, to do the work. This would help to build the Jewish Israeli economy while separating itself from the Palestinian Arab one. Once Israel and the future state of Palestine have actually separated, then commercial trade agreements and the sharing of grand enterprises between the two could begin.
6. Works for me
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.08.09)
Oh, goodness! I think that means that the leadership of the Palestine Authority will have to steal less in order to purchase goods to put on those empty shelves. Oh dear! What's a thieving Palestinian Arab leadership to do!
7. Let them import everything from the EU, they will get good
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (12.08.09)
prices and free freight and lots of sympathy. Just don't let any of them come to Israel for medical treatment, they can go to France for their free cancer treatments.
8. The Arabs BUILD the settlements
Eli ,   Los Angeles   (12.08.09)
Who builds and continues to build in the settlements? the Arabs! hundreds of thousands of homes across the west bank are built by Arabs from the local villages. They don't complain, they are happy to have a job! Funny, the PA can just boycott Arabs from building with Israeli construction in the West Bank and it will be hard to keep construction going at a normal rate in the settlements. This will never work since the average Arab honestly doesn't care about the settlements, in fact he likes them since they offer jobs in construction, supermarkets, bakeries, and factories.
9. NO PROBLEM... BUT WHAT WILL THEY EAT?
stude ham   (12.08.09)
10. #9 - They can always import from Gaza. Plenty there.
William ,   Israel   (12.09.09)
Here's a link showing the stores and outdoor market stalls full of food and products, well-fed people, and happy Gazans. http://www.paltoday.com/arabic/News-64161.html A big difference from the image UNWRA, Hamas, and Goldstone portray.
11. Naiviey ,Hostility Stupidity ,"Let them eat cake" .
Roland Seener ,   London England   (12.09.09)
12. #3 we don't need their stinking Humus
Bentzy ,   Jerusalem   (12.09.09)
Afula produces plenty of beans that are made into high quality kosher Humus by many Jewish companies, Strauss, Miki's etc/ Even the Arab "boalim" prefer to buy it then to bring their own brands Only the leftists find a need to go wipe arab chumos with arab pitot on Pesach
13. #7 Bunnie: Meyer who Boycots Israel
Avi ,   Israel   (12.09.09)
WHy not go the whole way anf follow the example of Bunnie Meyer a jew who chooses to desert Israel and live in LA, all her money and taxes go to the US goverment not the Israeli goverment , yet she feels free to tell people how to run their lives in a country she does not live in.
14. Pressure
Muskens ,   netherlands   (12.12.09)
Friendliness must have an end. Patience with a stubborn rogue state must have an end. If it's not to be reached in a friendly way, the harsh way must be token.. Since 1918 unjustice must finally be recognized an corrected. Israel has to be brought down to a paria state and complete bankruptcy . Let's see how long Israel can withstand international boycotts. As long as South Africa could? W'ill see.
15. Boycot
Muskens ,   netherlands   (12.12.09)
#3 I allready buy only Palestinian products. Very good olive oil and humus and dried tomatoes. I never bought israeli products , wether they are coming from the occupied westbank or form Palestine occupied in 1947,1948,1949. I take part in boycottactions aswell in the Netherlands and Germany. I distribute with my company Palestinain products to shops in the Netherlands and Germany. Only if resolution 118 of 29 th november 1947 will be factually implemeted I will stop my activities to bring down israel in a state of bankruptcy.
