...this lie keeps coming up, but it is a lie. During Sharon's unilateral Gaza Disengagement Plan, the colonists largely used a scorched earth policy, illegal but there you have it, lot's of things Israel does are illegal.
Anyway, some pumps got looted from the greenhouses but other then that they were left intact.
Bear in mind that up until this year, Israel prevented the flowers from being exported, as well as the strawberries, forcing Gazans to feed them to their livestock.
For another funny story more on topic, look up the one about Bibi's attempted assassination of Meshaal in Amman back in '97.
Meshaal's bodyguard chased the two Mossad agents, knocked 'em down, turned 'em over to Jordanian security and they learned about the poisoning.
King Hussein phoned up Bibi, said give us the antidote or I try them and them hang them in public and rip up the treaty...
Bibi hotfooted it over to Amman to get his guys but the King said piss off until you save Meshaal. Clinton intervened and Bibi gave up the antidote and a Mossad agent saved Meshaal.
Then Bibi released Sheik Yassin.
