Maybe when the Israeli mission in Haiti is over they can go to Gaza and help with the Humanitarian Crisis that Israel has created. An Israeli field hospital would be most welcome in Gaza as the IDF destroyed or damaged 15 hospitals and 33 medical institutions which cannot be rebuilt or repaired as Israel’s refusals to allow building materials into the Gaza Strip. Maybe the Israeli mission to Gaza can bring much needed medical equipment and medicine which Israel will not allow into Gaza. Perhaps the mission can bring a few extra tents for the thousands of homeless civilians who had their homes destroyed by the IDF. I am sure that every poster here will agree that an Israeli mission to Gaza would be a proud ‘expression of Jewish ethics and heritage - to help other’.

I saw the ABC News piece last night; it was the first mention on ABC I've seen of the Israeli teams in Haiti. There must be some unwritten policy at NBC against mentioning the Israeli presence, as I've seen every NBC Nightly News broadcast since the quake without a single mention. As to the (lack of) contributions from Muslim nations, there are small contingents from Turkey and Egypt, plus a security detail from Jordan (part of the UN presence I think). Stinking rich Qatar has pledged a whole $1 million (same as Morocco). Saudi Arabia sent "condolences" to Haiti's President. That's about it. Israel is where it usually is: up front and unacknowledged.

Moslem country aid is coming, though, for most, at a scale not so far commensurate with the wealth of such nations. Kuwait, Qatar, and Jordan are sending aid, according to: http://www.arabianbusiness.com/579120-arab-aid-speeds-to-quake-hit-haiti, but as of 1/18, Saudi "aid" has so far been moral, sending condolences to the Haitian president. Separately I see Indonesia among those sending aid and medical staff. The point is, Israel came in early on, with highly effective assistance, much to its credit and typical of Israel. Its operation is a mighty act of tzedekah! Not only the IDF, but ZAKA is on the scene. As for the hatemongers who talk of Gaza, of course they don't want to note that Hamas & co. invited Israeli defensive strikes, because what Hamas wants is to paint Israel as the monster Hamas is. Hamas cares not a wit for the welfare of its biggest victims, its own people.
