Israel better care about its image in the U.S. because that matters. Not that it seems in any trouble right now. But the U.S. has enormous power to make Israel do anything if they want. And if Avigdor Lieberman had his way Israel would be screwed! And they know it. From blocking U.N. resolutions, to diplomatic support, to all the weapons, to the cash, to not selling weapons to Arab states. If the U.S. wanted Israel to do something by God we could make it happen.

I was wondering when Israeli's were going to complain about the Hatian rescue mission not being recognized by the world, which it isn't, but Eitan Haber beat me to it. the fact is, israel would allow aid in, if it is was certain that at the same time that it was doing so, Palestinian militant groups wouldn't be attempting to attack border crossings, within Israel and in the West Bank. Past Palestinian leaderships have squandered and embezzled billions of dollars in aid donated by the world to the Palestinians. If only now they made a conscious decision to do this, instead of acting at times like proxies of Iran and Syria, then trust me, the people and State of Israel would be happy to help them out. Don't forget that during the Gaza conflict, Israel allowed aid convoys into conflict zones, directly to areas of enemy combatants (who chose to base themselves amongst their own civilian population). When have any of your armies done such a thing?

That is what Israel has come to. It is amazing how everyone blithely goes on as if there are no death threats, as if it is normal behavior. Truly pitiful.

It is literally insane how much we Jews care about what the rest of the world thinks! It's time for us to really be "a free people in our land" and grow some backbone. I am very proud of what we are doing in Haiti. We arrived quickly and set up the best hospital there. America has taken over a week to "get organized" and send serious aid, and she's right next door to Haiti while we are on the other side of the world. On the other hand, the Arab world with all their money has helped but not very much. And to those that always are against us: every time we have given land to the Arabs, they attack us even more. We gave them Gush Katif and they sent thousands of rockets to kill us. If we give them the Golan and Judea and Samaria, we won't have a minute of quiet. They make no qualms about wanting to destroy the State of Israel, the WHOLE State of Israel. They have 22 states, many of them quite large, but they don't want us to have even a tiny sliver of the globe - only a few kilometers in area. They do not want peace with us, they only want to destroy us. Anyone who thinks otherwise is fooling himself.

You seriously believe that by saving people thousands of miles away makes up for burning others alive at your own doorstep? What kind of sick argument is this? Israel is fully operative in the ethnic cleansing of Arabs from their lands, in violation of UN resolutions, in breach of international law, has copuous gallons of children's blood on its hands for what it did in Gaza last year and elsewhere throughout the Holy Land over the past 62 years, and to think that by sending our 'heroic' IDF lads to Haitit to save a few Haitians will diminish all of that is borderline insanity, if not evil. Some ignorant individuals cannot accept the fact that Israel has done alot more than much wealthier countries in sending aid to Haiti. It bothers them that Israeli medics and rescue teams are saving lives in Haiti.These people will criticize Israel and it policies whether it sends aid or not and are only looking for an excuse to denigrate the state of Israel. They are contemptible fools!
