1. Khatib-Pollack
Ricardo Macher ,   KarneiShomron Israel   (01.27.10)
I can somehow understand this Khatib person (thou I believe he should be taken to the Jordan border and left on the other side), but the other one? He should be trialed for treason, kicked out of any benefit he gets from the government and have his passport suspended (for sure he's got another one)
2. '2010 will see us beat the occupation'
E ,   Los Angeles   (01.27.10)
Any arab roiter should be deported to gaza after the 2nd offence. Any israeli rioter should be fined and or jailed after second offence. Any non citezen should be deported upon the 1st offence.
3. What about Arabs beating the occupation all the way to Mecca
BBSNews ,   Charlotte, NC   (01.27.10)
where they belong and should give up on the dream of Greater Arabia
4. Put a WALL instead of a fence
that might ,   help   (01.27.10)
5. The woman in the photo is trying to steal

6. #1 - Leftists are usually just looking for attention
William ,   Israel   (01.27.10)
When the attention wanes, they set their sights on other things to gain the attention. So, instead of continued pushing on the Tibetan issue back in the 1980s, when that became boring, they simply moved to being an anarchist against the WTO. Nevermind that the original goal - freeing the Tibetans from oppression - was never met. Indeed, it was never their goal in the first place.
7. "We are on the eve of another intifada"
William ,   Israel   (01.27.10)
Well, how to the last ones work out for you? Apparently, you didn't learn anything in the past 9 years as you have a giant wall in front of you and IDF soldiers outside town....instead of: no wall, booming economy, and free travel as was the case in 1999. Khatib seems excited because his group of anarchists, paid for with Euro-Left money, isn't met with much force. Indeed, that the reason he sees many protesters join him - it's relatively safe and exciting. "Pals" thought the same thing until Israel got their act together in 2002 and began kicking some major ass. Be thankful, Khatib, that it's the IDF and not another force you're dealing with. The riot would be over in 10 minutes!
8. may the next intifada be as successful as the last
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (01.27.10)
it was a shining example of palestinian futility at its finest.
9. A LITTLE accuracy..PLEASE!!
Eli Freedman ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (01.27.10)
Not that I really expect it from Ynet, BUT, when you refer to Yonatan Pollack as a "Left-Wing Activist", it sounds like he sits around , tree hugging and singing Kumbaya. You conveniently "Forgot" that he is one of the founders of the "Anarchists Against the Wall" a violent, radical movement , he's "Buddies" with the International Solidarity Movement, who openly endorse's terrorism and just recently, Pollak testified against Israel giving his "Evidence" to the United Nations "Fact" Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict. So how about it Ynet, a little journalistic integrity??!!
10. Beat which occupation?
David ,   Shilo Israel   (01.27.10)
Sorry, but I'm a little confused here. Are we talking about the Aussie occupation of Aboriginal land, Kiwis occupying Maori's, the Brits in Afghanistan, the Yanks in Iraq, the Chinese in Tibet, someone with guts ache occuping a toilet, French tourists anywhere?

Birdi ,   Israel   (01.28.10)
Thanks Eli for this information. There is more about Pollak at; http://en.wikipedia.org/wki/Jonathan_Pollak

Eli Freedman ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (01.28.10)
Hey Birdie, funny how they have, these "Journalists" that write here, so often leave out those "Pesty" details, since the FACTS kind of stand in the way of their own Agenda's..Kinda Strange??!!LOL!!
13. Just a photo op
Cowboy Joe ,   Calgary, Canada   (01.28.10)
This photo is so telling! Notice the shadows of the photographers just waiting to get the right photo for the foreign press. Since the demonstrator is trying to wrest the soldier's gun, why doesn't he just shoot her?
14. Take advantage of the next intifatah to oust our enemies.
Chaim ,   Israel   (01.28.10)
Another intifatah looks more and more likely each day. This time Israel should take advantage of it to oust our enemies from our land once and for all. No more playing games with deadly enemies. Let us achieve resounding victory with NO concessions whatsoever.
15. These Arabs keep defeating peace, thats certain.
David ,   Boston, USA   (01.28.10)
What is there goal? They dont want a state. They dont want an economy. They just want everyone to suffer. Good luck. In 100 years it has backfired every time. You suffer the most. Too bad you arent interested in your childrens future.
16. David from Shiloh is being cute with Israel
BBSNews ,   Charlotte, NC   (01.28.10)
17. OMG, this is garbage
mg ,   jackson, USA   (01.28.10)
Come on, Ynet. This is the biggest piece of garbage journalism you have put out in a long time. Do you really expect us to look at that photo and not wonder what's "really going on" in it. This is as bad as the Arab press (or European press) during the '06 Lebanon conflict with the doctored photos and manipulated facts. This is sensationalism at its worst. You can do better than this, or is it that you won't sell papers. Yikes.
18. To beat "occupation" Palestinians need to beat themselves
Leon ,   Los Angeles, USA   (01.28.10)
Hamas, PFLP, Islamic Jihad and other groups who want what they will never get - all of the land and jews to get out. Until than - enjoy the "occupation".
19. The Oslo Accord : A “war process”.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (01.28.10)
Many Jews and Arabs living in this part of the world really miss the good old days before the Middle East peace process began -- before Yasser Arafat and the PLO were brought to the West Bank and Gaza Strip after the signing of the Oslo Accords. It is time to cry out loudly that this peace process has been nothing but a disaster. Has anyone ever noticed that more Jews and Arabs have died since the signing of the Oslo Accords than during the period between 1967 and 1993? This peace process, correctly dubbed by some as a “war process,” has failed; it is time to try something else. More at : http://xrl.us/bgtivf
20. and what do you call now peace and quiet???
ghostq   (01.28.10)
the last time I checked the violance from palis was there on weekly basis like trowing stones at a car when a baby was inside, the baby was hurt and rushed to the hospital so what could posibly else they can do, after killing so many Israelis along the years. they can threat but it wont do much good. cause we know their "diplomatice" way. threating with fire will back fire.
21. # 12
Birdi ,   Israel   (01.28.10)
Exactly Eli. I'd call it an assault on journalism. Pollak should be kicked out of Israel .
22. Better than in most Arab countries
Manny C. ,   Israel   (01.28.10)
"Palestinians" don't have a perfect life under Israeli rule, but it's still a lot better than in most Arab countries. If they had their own country here, like they want, it would be poor and corrupt. They would also be busy killing each other.
23. pic
funkyyaya ,   london   (01.28.10)
That pic looks staged...also what is she holding/
24. Hello mike@ 8 Firstly nice to see you here>
James ,   ISRAEL   (01.29.10)
To inform you--tried a couple of times to inform you about "t "on the Shabat Shalom" part. And reciprocated by :: Asellamu Aleikum.II don't know if you speak arabic that is. That apart your short response is quite accurate--unfortunate though it is. Hey,tomorow beginning on Friday afternon it will be Shabat. I have been fevershly trying Jpost, that gave me some headaches since two days.I had a few short cuts and couldn't access them..resulting with:This page is not recognized?I went mad thinking there was a computer virus.Won't bore you with details..suffice t say I was very annoyed, and tired. Now we know they changed the whole format with many restrictions. End of a boring story. Have a good Friday.
25. #14, "our land"
Zooey ,   Toledo, Ohio, USA   (01.29.10)
The only internationally recognized borders of Israel are those which Israel accepted at its birth. As far as the Palestinians notably of Nabi Saleh are concerned, it is the Israelis who are occupying Palestinian lands. "One man's ceiling is another man's floor."
