2. And I believe...
Eli Freedman ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (01.27.10)
That Santa Klaus is real, that the Easter Bunny is coming, The Tooth Fairy visited me last night...Toto, I have the feeling we're not in Kansas anymore.....
3. Lame Excuses
Mark of Lewiston ,   Lewiston USA   (01.27.10)
Both Hamas and the IDF seem to have collaborated in using the excuse, "We Just can't shoot Straight." Hamas says their sophisticated rockets don't have guidance systems. The IDF says they can't miss with artillery what they are not aiming at (the flour will). Both Hamas and the IDF are unwilling for their own public to ask and get answers to hard questions. The IDF doesn't even trust its own justices. After-actions reports is not serious inquiry, by Hamas or by the IDF. Why either takes the other as their standard to emulate is beyond me.
4. Is this a joke or is it for real?
Is this a joke?! ,   Lior, Israel   (01.27.10)
They are mocking people's intelligence. if it weren't that sad, it would actually be funny.
5. These people are demented murderers
Cynic ,   USA   (01.27.10)
The suicide bombers guidance system is pretty accurate when they target restaurants, pizzerias and nightclubs.
6. Israel aimed at Military Targets too!
Harry ,   Marquette, MI   (01.28.10)
It just so happens that there are no Hamas Military targets because they always shoot at Israel from Schools, Hospitals and public places on purpose, so when Israel responds, Hamas can cry to the media. Hamas is beyond despicable.
7. Dr. Goldstone = Mr. Magoo
So ,   sad   (01.28.10)
8. fair play
David ,   USA, exile   (01.28.10)
OK Israel, let's play fair. If they don't have guidance systems you should remove yours. Next time they fire rockets into Israel. Return fire with bombs and missles that have had the guidance systems removed.
9. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!! Right, We Believe You HamAss
Goodone ,   Homicidopolis, Aza   (01.28.10)
10. Let's do the math
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (01.28.10)
Hamas 10,000 Gaza population 1,500,000 So if the IDF fired at random they would end up killing 150 civilians per combatant killed. To be targeting civilians then of course the ratio would be higher than that. That is very simple math. When NATO bombed Kosovo they managed somewhere between 10 and 100 civilians per combatant. Now nobody thinks NATO targeted civilians and they have very advanced weapons. The worst ratio that we have been accused of is about 3 to 1. Though the truth is about 0.6 to 1. So even taking the worst figure it actually a lower civilian to combatant casualty ratio than any modern war. Certain far below Iraq, Afghanistan or Kosovo. Pure math proves that without a doubt Goldblather got it wrong. Now lets look on the other side and we find that nearly 100% of the casualties the Arabs have caused were civilians. That makes what they stated a lie.
11. Gazanians By The Sea
Dan ,   Titusville, FL   (01.28.10)
The West Bank and an UNDIVIDED Jerusalem are sacred Israeli land. Hamas has their wonderful seaside resort of Gaza and I would tell the Gazanians that one more rocket fired from Gaza into Israel will result in Gaza being completely leveled with no survivors. The devastation of Haiti will look like excess baggage lined up compared to what Gaza will look like. It is time to stop coddling these demons and explaining to them in straight terms that they can no longer inflict their perversions on Israel or the world.
12. Mmm Hmm
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.28.10)
Bet the dog ate their homework, too. Doesn't even pass the laugh test. Do they seriously think that they can stave off charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity with this lame excuse? How typically Hamas. Their days are numbered. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of terrorist scum, now could it?
13. To: No. 3
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.28.10)
A whole lot of destruction to the flour mill for artillery fire. Flour is not combustible. Has it occurred to you that maybe there was something besides flour in the flour mill? Remember Iraq's famous baby milk factory?
14. Targeted Jew Killing vs. Random Jew Kiling
David   (01.28.10)
Hamas must be put down!
15. SPEAKING OF ABSURD
JK ,   LA, USA   (01.28.10)
I hereby propose that as a "humanitarian" gesture towards population of Gaza & its hamas rulers, Israel should immediately supply them with guidence systems for their "clueless" rockets.
16. Bovine scatology!!!
oxo ,   USA   (01.28.10)
What a bunch of BS form HAMAS, the puppets of the Satanic realm. Let them try to BS Hashem on the day of judgement. And shhhhhhh don't tell them that the "paradise" they all seek is a devilish codeword for hell...and those "celestial virgins" are nothing but demonic spirts. Oh how they have been deceived!!!!
17. if you can't guide your rocket - don't fire it
Galut ,   Selah   (01.28.10)
Quote : "Islamist group to answer UN's demand for post Gaza war internal probe by citing justifiable fire on enemy forces, say rockets hit civilian population because they were lacking guiding systems" if you can't guide your rocket - don't fire it ... civilians should not reap the benifit of the lack of technology in your rockets... haveing said that - i see as a lame excuse for the inability to control the varioious hamas and fatah factions...
18. Naturally it was Israel's fault for not supplying them with
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (01.28.10)
modern guidance systems and training to use such.
19. Maybe IDF can remove guidance systems and carpet bomb Gaza?
Leon ,   Los Angeles, USA   (01.28.10)
MLRS system would do nicely or what about purchasing some Grad- type systems from the Russians? Grad system is used to pulverize an entire area - no guidance needed - everyone is dead. Hamas is just pathetic.
20. Blast Hamas
Brod ,   USA   (01.28.10)
Israel should blast Hamas without any qualms. And if the Obama AntiSemite administration tries to intrude in Israel's rules of defending itself against external aggressions, Israel should tell them to go to Hell.
21. so we must provide
yechiel ,   london   (01.28.10)
this is unfair!!!! israel must now provide hamas with a perfect system so they can guide their rockets!!!!
22. Shameless and despicable liars!!!
Ben ,   London, UK   (01.28.10)
23. Whether Israel is ever found guilty of any war crime ...
Ron B. ,   Lod   (01.28.10)
Whether Israel is ever found guilty of any war crime hardly matters. Hamas gets propaganda win simply by having the charge made often and loudly enough. In this, Israel finds itself in much the same position the United States found itself in Iraq. There, al Qaeda realized that it was in its interests to provoke sectarian violence between Shia and Sunni – no matter what the cost to innocent Iraqis. That is the nature of terror. And what we are seeing in Gaza is just one front in this much larger war. As to the IDF “war crimes”: http://xrl.us/bemnkt
24. ynet common be more profesional and call it cast lead
ghostq   (01.28.10)
since when it's beeen called gaza war??? your editor didn't have enough sleep I reckon. and the data is wrong killed 10 Israeli civilians, common you can do better than that, the point is did the war started in cast lead or was it there since Hamas shoot the first rocket. and who cares what hamas think they r known as going with head up against the wall they will find any reasons to hurt even palestinian, by giving them voice you contribute to their efforts of hurting innocent Israelis, so use your heads next time if you got any journalistic morals.
25. How do they explain the celebrations in the streets?
noa ,   israel   (01.28.10)
26. Hamas rockets and no guidance
DT ,   TA Israel   (01.28.10)
So thats OK then !? The UN, Goldstone and the EU will certainly be happy with that explanation but very "unhappy" with anything that Israel says.
27. Hamas
Hal ,   USA   (01.28.10)
The shear balls of these morons is limitless. They want have their cake and eat it too. They shoot off "unguided" missles into Israel to hit military targets. With that kind of tactic, I guess it would also be OK for the IDF to shoot "unguided" missles into Gaza, hoping to hit Hamas ? Goldie, where are you?
