High Court to discuss deportation of peace activists     Ali Waked
1. "Peace" activists?
Only a malicious editorial gremlin would term ISM's people "peace" activists. The organization expresses its "resistance"-related aims -- what the rest of us think of as violence if not terrorism -- openly.
Naftush ,   Israel   (02.07.10)
2. Deport the trouble makers.
They are here illegally & their sole purpose is to cause trouble.
Wise Saba ,   Eretz Yisrael   (02.07.10)
3. Ynet props up terrorists - ISM
The ISM has been involved with terrorism helping them hide and move around. This newspaper is doing much harm by ignoring the facts. When will the Israeli media stop helping our enemies. wonder is this will be published or does the truth hurt?
Wonderer   (02.07.10)
4. "Peace activists"? Women who refuse to accept Israel's right
to be and who collaborate with those who attempt to undermine its very existence?
Dalia Fishman ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (02.07.10)
5. # 3
No doubt they will all be deported soon.We have enough trouble makers to deal with.
Birdi ,   Israel   (02.07.10)
6. The Israeli liberalism is sickening to the core
There is no land on this planet that would tolerate an organization like the ISM.
Victor ,   USA   (02.07.10)
7. War by other means
Leftist activists conduct "war by other means." Israel is at war and has no obligation to facilitate life for those who engage in war by other means and seek to delegitimize Israel and ultimately destroy her. So sorry the inconvenience.
Stephen in New York ,   New York   (02.07.10)
8. Why are they referred to as "peace activists"?
What do their (anti-Semitic) activities have to do with peace?
soludo   (02.07.10)
9. Well done
I will be glad if you keep them in jail for long for assisting the terrorists. What can you expect from the ISM, which is made up by groups such as the Brigada Askapena, a group of the terrorist gang ETA?
Ana ,   Spain   (02.07.10)
10. If we crush dissent, we become fascists.
This is nothing of what the original vision of the Jewish homeland was to be. This is an ugly development, we are sacrificing our values for the sake of greed and vengeance. If our Israel even survives this madness, we will deeply regret it for a very long time.
Rabbi Cohen ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (02.07.10)
11. SNY, peaceful protest is a universal right...
I'll bet you got a great kick out of helping Bull Connor hold the fire-hoses and spray Civil Rights protesters, little old ladies, and children, and old men, and white folks and black, Bull Connor and his men did not care. Israel is going to hell in a handbasket and that is not because of us, those who advocate a fair and just peace settlement. Nope, it is wingnuts like you who are eroding at Israel's legitimacy. No sane person who is even vaguely aware of basic democratic principles would dare advocate policies that would violently stifle free speech and the right to protest against injustice. It is those like you, working hard to turn Israel into a little facist mini-me that are doing major damage to Israel. Not those of us who can see both sides and clearly say proudly and without shame that we condemn EQUALLY ALL violations of human rights by BOTH sides are the ones with truth on our side. You got nuthin' but dustballs and jihadis hiding under your bed...
BBSNews ,   Charlotte, NC   (02.07.10)
12. About time
It is long overdue that Israel removes ISM members. ISM is a stated pro-Palestinian organization whose stated purpose is at odds with the existence of Israel. Maybe they can go to Iran and protest the dictatorship there. Oh yes, I forgot--they wouldn't be allowed into the nation and if they snuck in they would probably be executed. It is about time that Israel stops allow itself to act as the world's shmata!
Ellen ,   Israel/USA   (02.07.10)
13. Freedom of expression is all well and good, but surv
You don’t understand the meaning of war by other means. People like you, while pretending to care for the fate of Israel, seek to destroy Israel through war by other means. You too seek to destroy Israel through war by other means. Freedom of expression is all well and good, but survival is better. I did some work for SNCC on lower 5th Ave in NYC, by the way. You assume too much.
Stephen in New York ,   New York   (02.07.10)
14. "Peace" activists = Terrorist supporters = Enemy
Leftists = Islam   (02.07.10)
15. Send Them To Gaza
Then they will learn what they are trying to support.
emanon ,   USA   (02.07.10)
16. Australia does it, too.
In 2005, Scott Parkin, a U.S. citizen and political activist, violated the terms of his tourist visa while visiting Australia by participating in political activities. He was arrested by ASIO, the Australian version of the CIA/Mossad, imprisoned and after a while deported back to the USA. Bridgette Chappell wasn't simply yelling at a political rally, she has been participating with demonstrators and rioters who have been attacking the Israeli armed forces in violent confrontations, in cooperation with some of the most vile Islamo-fascist terrorist groups. If she gets deported promptly, she will get off lightly. Perhaps she should be held in prison for a while, like the American who got arrested in Australia for lesser crimes. Doubtless, the usual loonies will protest that Israel shouldn't be allowed to do what every other normal country does. Happens every time...
Jake in Jerusalem ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (02.08.10)
17. Let's say I, a US citizen, would come to Spain
to help ETA and overstay my visa. The question is purely hypothetical - having lived in Spain for eight years, I am very well aware of what is done to anyone even remotely associated with ETA or Batasuna. I am also very well aware of how Spain treats those who are on its territory illegally. Similar would happen in any other country: overstay visa and actively assist organizations that seek its destruction, and deportation is the least you would get. The two could stay in their own countries and protest vs. Israel to their heart's content. Or, better yet, protest against mistreatment of immigrants and minorities in Spain and the Aboriginal people in Australia. If you come to another country you have to obey its laws. If you choose not to, don't whine about the consequences.
Shaul R ,   USA/Australia   (02.08.10)
18. Turn them over to the Beduins who know how to treat them
Umm El Kul Naqba   (02.08.10)
19. so #11 if I will come to the USA to protest what
you r doing to mexicans without visa will the USA earrest me or expelle me? yeah they would, stop making exusses for the shamfull treatment you do to Mexicans and stop brain wash them you catholics love your pagans you will bend your own religion in the name of convertion.
