Iran has a population of 70 million, 60 percent of who are under 30 (military age) so they got plenty of bodies to send around the region to fight. Block of the straights of hormuz, that would cut off a third of world oil sending the global economy into pits so deep even lucifer would feel the heat. Israel and syria have a defensive alliance so Syria would get involved in the war (not saying syria is a huge military threat but it is on Israels door and is a factor) Russia and China would support Iran especially china who needs iran for its current and future oil demand. We all saw a few years back what Hezbollah could do to Israel, Imagine what would happen if Hezbollah gurillaz were pouring over the syrian border using all the weapons at there disposal. remember they didnt use many of their long range missles in the war in 2006. Israel would be in a very bad spot, and would retaliate to iranian counter attacks with a nuclear weapon causing an all out regional war... which would lead to ww3 once the russian americans and chinease got involved. Lets say best case scenario happens and Its just Israel and US vs Iran. Iran would block the hormuz making everyone else broke, they would send a million soldiers into Iraq and another million into afghanistan. (this is very bad for american forces we would probably nuke iran to stop them for defeating us in Iraq) Iran would send all its missles at Israel and US bases. Israel would not survive this. Americas fragile economy wouldnt either. We will all be controlled by the chinese and russians afterwords. Honestly do you believe that Israel will destroy irans nuclear powerplants succesfuly, not kill any iranian civilians. Those indestructible civilians would then overthrow the regime and israel and iran will work together to get rid of terrorism and anti israel sentiment in the world? Look I never said Iran and Israel were going to have dogfights. Israel clearly has the better airforce. Iran dose have modern Mig aircraft however mig 29's etc etc. Its a rugged country with plenty of air defenses Tor M1 and when it gets the S300 system it will be very tough for the Israelis to take it on.
