1. And China and Russia are still "talking". Think 1930s...!!!!
Eitan ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (02.11.10)
2. Why is everyone against Iran
Yitzchak ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (02.11.10)
I don't see what all the fuss over Iran is all about. Iran, like all Moslem countries, is a peace-loving country and seeks only peace. It only wants nuclear power to be able to “force” Israel to give the Palestineans their independent state. Isn't that what all you leftists and anti-semites want? So, what's all the fuss? Let Iran do the job.
3. #1 China and Russia don't care
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (02.11.10)
Estimates are that the Iranians won't be able to have more than five fission warheads. They are unlikely to be able to mount these on missiles, and Iranian aircraft will never be able to get past the US Air force and Navy. Iran will only be able to attack local targets and ships in the Persian Gulf. Iran's interest is to survive American and Saudi efforts to destabilize Iran, that began under Carter. The Iranians have no problems with the Chinese and Russians. All these factors together mean that a nuclear Iran is a threat to Saudi and American interests, not to Chinese and Russians.
4. # 2 very nice guy indeed

6. Iranian cancer rate will drop....
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (02.11.10)
when the the government is involved in improving the nations living standards. Burning plastic for cooking and heat is not good for those breathing such fumes.
7. to #4 too much of WW2 they will start to care
ghostq   (02.11.10)
when Iran will support the Chechens and the terror activity against Russians, by that time it will be too late. but that is Russia.
8. @ 1 Think 1917 ... - ... 2009...!!!!
Palestinian   (02.11.10)
9. humanity never learns from history
michael   (02.11.10)
10. Dirty bombs
MYRON ERNST ,   USA   (02.11.10)
I really do not believe that Iran will produce a nuclear bomb in the conventional sense. The danger of "enriched uranium" , which Iran already possesses, resides in the fact that this can be used to produce many, many "DIRTY BOMBS" relatively simple, even primitive devises, that can be easily transported (no rockets needed) to any city the mad Mullahs wish to contaminate, I have no doubt that the Mad Mullahs will export this enriched uranium to all and sundry who wish to wreak destruction of the people of Israel. The government of Israel must make plans now for this contingency.
11. # 1 peaceful purposes only_ Think ..peace ...!!!!
Jazz   (02.11.10)
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has always stated that Iran`s nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only. He has never threatened Israel
12. Where are the daily "right wing" talkbacks ??????????
Israeli ,   Israel   (02.11.10)
13. :: Nuclear Milestone
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (02.11.10)
Iran has the legal right, technological knowledge, means, money and manpower to develop their civilian nuclear programme. You cannot put toothpaste back into the tube, no matter how hard you try. Israelis have to learn to accept this, and move on with their lives.
14. to #13 it's not democratic regim and the
ghostq   (02.11.10)
rdioactives r not for electricity. :) and it's not the Israelis, it's the whole world, cause calling for genocide and developing nuke is nobrainer, unless it's your logic.
15. :: Nuclear stone age
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (02.11.10)
Iran wants to be nuclear power yet it is going back to the stone age in everything
16. What idiot is impersonating Matty?
Eitan ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (02.11.10)
17. #15
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (02.11.10)
Looks like another fake post, it is a pity that we have to resort to impersonating posters because we can’t argue or discuss the points they make.
18. Fake post no.15
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (02.11.10)
Of course the danger is that for every time an impostor pretends to be a “left wing” poster 3 or 4 fake posts might be put up for every “right wing” poster.
19. To: No. 15
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.11.10)
Send a post addressed to the YNet Moderator protesting those posts which you have not authored. They will look up the IP address where your legitimate posts come from and they will look up the IP address where the fraudulent posts come from. The fraudulent ones will be deleted, and the IP address from whence they come will go on a list.
20. Victim of fraud
Robert Haymond ,   Ashdod, Israel   (02.11.10)
If you are an avid follower of Ynet Talkbacks, you would know that the post no. 15 was not Matty's at all as the style of writing and the content are unlike his many fine previous postings. There is a possibility that you, too, are the victim of fraud (impostor). It has been occurring. I have written to the editors about this phenomenon and have received a reply. Assuming you have written your post in good faith, I hope you, too, contact the Ynet editors as the problem is becoming serious. Causing a brouhaha is one of the intents of the impostor.
21. #15 So low - imitating others
William ,   Israel   (02.11.10)
Please - this is so NOT Matty Groves. Infact, it's written without the typical eloquence and basic grammar which is always present in matty's works. Either you're a hateful Rightist who must hide your identity to exude your venom (rather than be honest and use your real name), or your a self-righteous Jewcwho lives on the foundation of his racist supremacy theories. Either way - a real drag on the human race. We are, after all, only as fast/smart as our DUMBEST members.
22. purest bunk!
tom ,   toronto, canada   (02.11.10)
for domestic consumption only: iran's nuclear programme is so successful, it can produce "breakthroughs", on command, in 48 hours! the truth is that Iran does not need uranium enrichment for a civilian nuclear programme - it can purchase all of its needs on the open market. it is expensive and difficult, and only necessary if Iran intends to divert material to weapons production. what is amazing is ahmadinejad's persistent goading of the west, as if he really wants to provoke an attack. starting a war that he cannot hope to win is a sure sign of insanity, which may prompt saner Iranians to remove him (and the other religious maniacs of the supreme council) from power.
23. #15 Dear Imposter
Cynthia ,   USA   (02.11.10)
You obviously have no confidence in your own views or you would not hide behind a respected poster who do not believe in what you posted. If you stopped obsessing over Iran, you would be better informed regarding Israel as a global threat.
24. SARAH..................................................#19
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (02.11.10)
Was it you who had written that Iran was incapable to enrich the uranium to 20% and the process was complicated and Iran lacked the technology blah blah blah???? Yes, I do remember very well. What happened,Sarah?
25. #24
(02.12.10)
mahmood, you are definitaly not the sharpest tool in the shed, you know. sarah has not claimed that iran can;t enrich uranium. WHAT SHE CLAIMED IS THAT IRAN LACKS RTHE TECHNICAL ABILITY, THE ABILITY OF DELIVERY!!! it is easy to enrich uranium, but difficult to MASTER THE PROCESS OF BEONG ABLE TO DELIVER IT. had you been intelligent enough to comprehend her posts, it would not have been necessary for you to be so smug now. there is a very very big difference between mastering the technology of enrichment and that of delivery on a nuclear missile head. iran is years away from such a breakthrough. i am an iranian national living presently in the usa part time and part of the year in tehran. i know my people and i know the university there and i also know their technical ability. i am a business man with a degree in nuclear engineering from tehran university. i live there part of the year and i have connections in that department. iran is now a lame duck, lacking any spare parts or knowledge about delivery systems, lacking parts and hardware because it is forever under restrictions and sanctions. their fleet of planes, both military fighter jets as well as commercial ones are grounded for lack of parts, lacking modernity and succumbing constantly to explosions in mid air or crashes, something you never hear about, but it happens regularly. their air force is a joke, consisting of poorly trained pilots, poor airtime practice, etc... their tanks are outdated, their missiles crude despite what they claim to the west. the army is more spirit and loud talk that a reality. mostly, they consist of those holding clubs to suppress the reformists, dissenters and anyone opposing the regime. your claims that iran is advanced in totally wrong. should a war break out, no matter how loud those regime voices are, the reality on the ground, sadly to say for an iranian like me, is that the whole bombastic unrealistic pictures the regime claims or shows to the west is only meant to frighten them, only meant to show unrealistic bravado. their claims are hollow. you do not live there and you do not know the reality. the louder the regime barks and threatens, the more obvious it is that they are truly scared and worried by an outside attack. however, the regime is now more terrified by the opposition and dissent than they are by the west because they realize the days are numbered. not this year, not the nest, but eventually, the regime will not be able to sustain its hold on masses of dissaffected population. the same thing that happened in 1979 will happen again in iran. the pendulum has began swinging. if the usa and the west waited about 2 years, no one will have to fight the basiij and the revolutionary guard. the iranians will take care of them like they took care of rezah phalavi, the shah. then, inshallah, we can all breath better, we can get out=r freedom back, our dignity back into the family of nations. iranians do not hate the west, it is the regime that hates it. but most iranians youth and students and those under 30 years old (74% of the population) love the west and its democracy. it is mostly the poor and muslim fanatics that support the regime, but they are only a fraction of the population. hameed aboughaze, iranian
